My good friend Andy and I were early strong supporters when Quincy's Lobster Rolls set up their first area shop on Swedesford Road, Berwyn, and were sad when it closed. This year someone opened same franchise in Paoli, but the sandwiches had shrunken in length, were no longer stuffed to the gills with pure claw meat like before, and portions were notable smaller than what we remembered. Enter Cousins Maine Lobster Roll food truck of PA and Delaware, (found on Facebook under "cousins maine lobster delaware / pa" for days/locations, nearest to me Exton Mall, east side across lot from Boscov's parked next to the loop road around mall). They serve up exactly what I used to love about Quincy's (before they cheaper down their sandwiches with smaller rolls, smaller portions, and cot in a lot of lobster meat scraps not from the claw!) For just under $21 you get a 5" frankfurter roll(the proven best vehicle for lobster!) overstuffed with nothing but fresh, tender and delicious Maine lobster claw meat. They have a very broad and interesting menu that includes Clam Chowder, Lobster Bisque, lobster grilled cheese, lobster tots, lobster tacos, shrimp tacos, Lobster tail and Tots, Lobster Quesadilla, or you can set up your own make at home Lobster Roll Party with everything you need to serve one or two pounds of Lobster claw meet with everything you need! (THAT has "Super Bowl Party" written all over it, and how memorable will that be with your appreciative guests! ) Having the Maine Lobster roll today at the Exton Mall location for the food truck turned me into an instant strong fan, but also refreshed my memory of what I USED to get at the original Quincy's, to the point that I went back and revised my review (and score) for Quincy's Paoli! Vegan, seafood, chicken, beef, nachos, and even churros were on the menu! The nachos looked packed and delicious but the other options were a let down. The chicken tasted like it was boiled and lacked flavor. The seafood platter included fried shrimp and calimari. The shrimp was yummy but the calamari was over cooked and hard. There were 2 people working and they were serving out meals within a timely matter to a large group of people which was impressive. I only wish the food was better quality and had more taste!

The top layers of the nachos packed a good bite, by the time I reached the bottom the nachos were very soggy and wet from the beans. The churros were delicious. They were served warm and were cooked to perfection. Overall I thought this was pretty tasty for a food truck. I was impressed with how quickly they were able to get the food out to over 50 people.

As someone who doesn't regularly eat beef, I wish there was a way to substitute pulled chicken as an option. That one addition would have me at any Crazy Rick's event. I also tried the crab fries...not a bad selection either. I think if they can find a way to bring the crab together with another cheese, this would be my second option. The fries are perfectly cooked and come doused in a cheese (that tastes alot like sharp cheddar) and Old Bay seasoning. I feel like if they experimented with other cheeses that go well with crab, there wouldn't be a need for so much Old Bay. I suggest you try them for yourself, it's all about your preference -not mine. The owner is really a down-to-earth kind of guy. Wish I would've given them a try sooner. As long as he's in my area I'll be visiting.
