We went out to eat at this local place yesterday afternoon. It reopened under new management in February this year. Our first impression was that it is a very popular place to eat as the parking lot was full. Upon walking to the restaurant we noticed that the front of the place needs its doors throughly cleaned. Costumers wait to be seated on one side of the lobby and service is paid on the other. We were promptly sat on the side of the main room towards the back and our waitress was ready to take our order. The was a large party of customers seated in the center of the main room which took most of the space. The menus were clean and easy to read. We ordered drinks and a few minutes later our food. Hubby had a cheeseburger with a baked sweet potato and half sweet and half unsweetened tea drink, and I had a BLT sandwich with a baked potato and a Diet Coke. The food came at the time our bellies were growling and our waitress asked hubby if he wanted butter for his baked sweet potato; he said, "yes" and she brought a small cup of it. We ate all our food as it was perfectly cooked and delicious. At the end of our meal, hubby asked our waitress if she had brought butter or margarine for his potato and she said it was margarine. We were a bit disappointed because of this; if you advertise "butter" as an available option, please, don't give the costumers "margarine". Honesty is the best policy. Amazing food reminds me me of the oaks when it was still around overall amazing food never cold or to hot

I have a hard time articulating my experience with this restaurant. I had my hopes up but, between the roast that was inedible because it was so dry. I tried several pieces but literally had to spit it out into a napkin because it soaked up every last bit of moisture in my mouth. I tried the fish but it was almost all bread... I truly don't understand why you have to cook a roast so that every last bit of life is left it, along with the moisture. Especially whenever I'm paying $32 for two people... I can say that the wait staff was cordial and had smiles on their faces, but that was outweighed by the horrendous food... Maybe they'll actually read this review objectively and ask their customers... Maybe take a poll on what they can improve. Because, I'm really not trying to be rude I genuinely wanted to have a good meal. I think I am being generous with two stars. read more

The roast was dry even though it's sitting in its own juice when you get it, the chicken was dry as a bone, the fish is nintey percent breading, I could hardly chew through the country fried beef steak. The waitresses were very kind though. read more
