They always do a sundae in a kid size, we frequent here very often at least once a month.. we came a few days ago and all of a sudden they said they can't do kids sundaes. Trying to tell me that basically I'm crazy making it up or something. I had to order everything for my kids sundae on the side and I'm glad that I still got a kid size because he didn't even finish the kid size. Absolutely insane it makes me want to write a bad review because I really wasn't treated with good customer satisfaction. I order numerous other things as well so it's not like I was just ordering one kid sundae. It's gonna make me not really wanna come back honestly. Usually the sundaes are really good and I did go because I wanted to try the strawberry waffle, which was not good. The waffle was extremely soggy so I definitely would not recommend ordering that. We will stick to our other fave local ice spots.

The ice cream shop is located on the corner of a little block in Wind Gap. We stayed close by in Bangor, and didn't have a chance to check out the Wind Gap area too much. It's such a vintage, cute little shop; spacious with enough tables and even one booth in the back I believe. There were so many flavors to choose from! I was sold on a small (kids') cup - vanilla bean with peanut butter chunks. The ice cream was incredibly delicious and smooth. I could tell it was freshly made and it was such a good kittle treat for me. My husband followed suit with the size, differing in flavor - he originally wanted Death By Chocolate, but it was out of stock and the staff said they weren't close to making it in the back, unfortunately. He got a cherry flavored scoop and he said it was actually the best ice cream he had ever had. Bold claim, I'll say! I pondered upon the prices briefly afterwards. It was $6 and change for the 2 scoops. Though small, I think the price was very fair and it made me think that in and around NYC, it would probably cost close to double. This is a small critique and very trivial, but I didn't like either the cups or the spoons they use. The cups were styrofoam (no branding of any kind) and the plastic spoons were weirdly..... deep? (not sure if that makes sense, fully; for example, when they gave a sample, it was huge sample on one of those little spoons that are almost flat and very easy to scoop.) The staff were so incredibly nice and friendly, they even gave out Odin a free pup cup! He loved his just had much as we did ours. We'll definitely come back when in the Poconos again! 10/10 recommend!

It just opened up in 2024, but the great ratings are well deserved as they offer a plethora of ice cream and frozen treat options, sure to satisfy any craving. They also had multiple dairy free and sugar free options, including sorbet, and many flavors for both hard and soft serve ice cream. While I didn't get a chance to try them, the ice cream sandwiches looked amazing. Service from Jason (I believe he's the owner) was extremely friendly as he allowed us to try multiple samples of ice cream, including cookies & cream, orange pineapple, banana, and a couple others I'm forgetting. I went with the toasted coconut ice cream as he advised it was mixed in-house with a generous amount of toasted coconut. It was a great recommendation, as the ice cream was high quality and delicious with more than ample toasted coconut mixed throughout, and probably one of the best coconut ice creams I've had in years. Prices were fairly reasonable and the interiors were bright and welcoming with some pictures colored by kids in the wall, with plenty of indoor seating. I'd definitely be back, and would happily recommend Sundaes on Broadway to others visiting the Pocono Mountains.

They have the ability to open four windows for service but are rarely staffed enough to get past two, max, regardless of how busy it gets. The flavors have gotten fairly repetitive and a lot of times the ice is already a slop fest as it's melting down the sides of the cup (looking at you Lemon & Black Cherry) as soon as it's given to you. Certain flavors have lots of chunks of stuff in them versus other flavors where you feel sort of ripped off by the lack of any well, anything. In terms of customer service I've never had any issues but then again I try my best to come at off times so that things aren't crazy like say on a Saturday night at 7pm when it's eighty degrees outside which to me would sound like a suicide mission to come here and wait forever. With all this said, is this good ice for being in Hellertown or in the Lehigh Valley? The quiche was packed with broccoli, cheddar, and bacon, a classic combo that never disappoints. The sandwich was layered with eggs, spinach, roasted peppers, mushrooms, mozzarella, and Cooper cheese, all tucked into perfectly grilled multi-grain bread.
