I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a camera or camera equipment. After purchasing the camera, I wanted to take a class to be able to get the most out of my camera. Horrible service. I placed an order on 9/6 and on 9/15 have yet to receive a status update or response to email inquiry. After calling, I'm told my order cannot be found in the system and that I need to call back the next morning and provide my credit card info. Hello, I paid via PayPal. Then I'm told that I need to talk to Ted because the box came empty. Then I'm told that orders are taking an extremely long time due to COVID, sometimes months. What kind of company is this? I filed a dispute with PayPal to get my money back. I could've had a freaking posing table in two days from Amazon. read more

I needed a Canadian size passport photo, and I tried everywhere. Walgreens, CVS, UPS, USPS, and three private photographers. NOBODY could get it right (background too dark, shadows, etc). Well, the Camera Corner is the place to go. The were friendly, efficient, and knew the photo requirements. I highly recommend the store. read more

Poor customer service. In the age of the Internet and Amazon they need to learn that the number one thing they could offer is service. They have not figured this out. I took a camera in to be cleaned, a perfect opportunity to offer service that cannot be found using the internet. The employees act almost ambivalent, as if you should be happy for their help. After almost two weeks they had not completed the cleaning we went in and requested it be completed. After waiting almost one hour we picked up the camera and upon returning home found the work had not been completed. When we took the camera back they said it had been cleaned, but when the clerk looked into the view finder they could see that it had not been cleaned. When it was requested that it be cleaned within four days they replied they would see what they could do. Maybe next time I will go to the Internet to see where I could send it. read more

So far as getting prints made, their website is easy to use and order from. The print quality is better than Walmart or Walgreens and believe it or not their prices are actually better! As an amateur photographer I have been pleased with the customer service in regards purchasing equipment. Their used equipment selection has given me some practical pieces to add to my camera bag and the best part...saved me a great deal of money. read more

Edit: I had previously left a real bad review of this shop and would like to update my view. Several years ago I had a pretty bad experience at this shop. After a while I realized that the shop is completely under different management and it's definitely taken a good change in direction. I broke my 3 or 4 year streak of avoiding this shop today and went in to shop around. The employees are very friendly and knowledgeable! They don't make you feel out of place like it was with previous management. The shop has been remodeled and is brightly lit and they have a very good selection new or used. I'm very glad to see the change in direction, as physical camera shops are disappearing left and right. I do encourage anyone else that has left bad reviews to swing in and check out the new changes! Definitely a night and day difference! I plan on returning sometime soon! read more

Went in to inquire about a lens customer service was poor and the general attitude of the salesman was not good either, amazon here I come.

Their quality was okay, but they only get One Star because of their NON-EXISTENT customer service. My project was a simple restoration job, simply to digitally restore a damaged old photo. But they took so long to finish this one little job, that you could start as a child, and by the time you actually receive your work, you'll be a senior citizen. I had to personally contact the owner THREE TIMES in as many months to finally get satisfaction. So if you want to use them, they'll do a good job, but you'll have to track them down and call them until your teeth fall out and your hair turns gray. Good luck. read more

I came here to buy a camera strap because the local Best Buy did not carry any (!). I found it through Yelp and noticed it had 1/5 star reviews, and not just one disgruntled person, but three of them. I think you have to go out of your way to be that bad. But, I just needed a camera strap, so... Bad vibe in the place. Nobody offered to help, the two old guys behind the film counter were blathering on loudly about this or that, cursing too. I glanced over at the counter to see who was doing all the yelling because it was annoying, and the old guy shot me back a hostile look. Really didn't like being in there but I found a strap, paid and got out. I wouldn't go back. Based on the other reviews I wouldn't buy anything from them and especially would not trust them to sell me anything expensive or doing any work on my camera. The part about them swapping out the original Nikon battery on someone's new camera for a generic battery, then refusing to deal with it when it failed after a short time because it wasn't original, that's just beyond slimy. I have had good to excellent service at the Camera Corner. I have bought a camera, two lenses, and several accessory items, and had to return one battery that was defective. They took care of it right away. There have been some people changes there recently with the original owner's death. I have had basically good experiences with the former and current staff. They are not a big box mail order outfit with unlimited inventory, but you can at least pit your hands on the real items, before your purchase if they have what you need. I am a Canon shooter and I can say that they are very competitive with on-line prices with the Canon items I have researched and consequently purchased locally. read more

I of course was thinking it was going to be a huge expense but John showed me it just needed reset. Why would I hand over my money to a company if I feel like I'm just inconveniencing them with my presence? If you can find a different camera store, go there; otherwise, I'd stick to a well-known, highly rated internet source. read more

My mom bought a camera from this place. The battery in it died within a year of buying it. When she went back, the people told her she did not have the original battery and she would need to bring in the one that came with the camera. She said the one she had was the one that did come with the camera. Turns Camera Corner, switch the Nikon batteries in their CoolPix cameras to generic ones. They were unwilling to give her the Nikon battery that was suppose to come with and were very rude during the entire interaction. read more

After reading the preceding reviews, I feel a rebuttal is in order. I have been a grateful customer of Camera Corner for nearly 30 years and have never felt mistreated or talked down to. As this is the only real camera shop within at least a 50 mile radius, it is usually very busy and one can expect to wait a while for a staff member to be available. Once you're being attended to though, any member of the sales staff will prove to be very polite, efficient and knowledgeable (note: all of the sales staff has a tremendous amount of experience, enthusiasm and knowledge about all things photographic - a rarity in today's world of tiny strip mall shops and big box electronics stores staffed by often-ambivalent teenagers)! It also is nice to be able to see how a potential camera or lens purchase "feels" in one's hands and most often, it is then that questions come to mind that aren't answered in the brief description offered on the product's web page. It is my belief that the motivation behind the preceding unfavourable reviews is mostly impatience and anger at waiting for a staff member to become available. My contention: the wait is worth one's time and you, like myself will find ourselves grateful to have access to such a wonderful source of information and assistance that this store offers! read more

I have bought three cameras from Camera Corner in the last 10 years. I like to shop and support local businesses. However, I will now buy my cameras from reliable online sources or even a big box store. The help is not friendly or helpful in any way. They almost challenge you to make a purchase. I am not entirely clear how they stay in business. I actually spoke to the owner about some of these difficulties and my desire to support a local business. He was not responsive. Terrible customer service. I went in for some questions and was treated as if I had no business owning a camera. Customer service is key in the age of the Internet. This store will treat you as if you should be grateful they took time out of their day to show up work.
