After a long 11-hour drive, which culminated in a snow squall, and checking into my hotel.. I needed some good, hot and healthy food fast. A quick Yelp search found this spot not too far from my hotel and right off RT 81. Pasta primavera with chicken - great fresh vegetables including asparagus, summer squash and mushrooms, with fresh chicken cooked just right. Not over-cooked! A huge plate I cannot finish and a side of delicious crispy on the outside, soft in the inside, baguette slices with a wonderful herbed butter. (Just with the butter had been soft and not directly from the fridge). The service was quick and friendly. A very good choice for a last-minute one!!

Ordered a Roast Beef Sub with no mayo for delivery. They gave me an empty bun in plastic wrap. I've attached a photo, and then also included the famous #FyreFestival sandwich for reference. The Fyre sandwich still has one up on what I was delivered as it is TECHNICALLY a sandwich. Anyway, I got a salad and soup, which were decent so I'm not going to give them one star. They're also sending me a new sub eventually, which puts them up to a three. I just had to share this photo because it is HILARIOUS.

We occasionally order take out and it's really good! If you call early enough/with enough notice they will deliver to certain locations. I always get (and have only gotten) the Citrus Salad with dressing on the side. If i bring it home I'll bake some vegan chicken to put on top of the salad. Delish! The salad consists of tender spring mix, craisins, mandarin oranges sugar walnuts, cucumber and house citrus dressing. I did eat in there once years ago and didn't love the dining experience. We felt like we were nonstop being watched. But i would try it again since it's been quite some time.

The best spot for great food. Every dish is made and prepared with love. Everything is always fresh and delicious. Perfect size portions. Great prices. Great food. Very professional staff, owner is always around socializing and making sure his guests are happy. I would recommend this place to everyone and anyone.

Seemed stale. For 42 dollars I had 1 shrimp stuffed with crab meat. No lumping crab meat. Very mushy. A small bundle of vegetable with 2 carrots and 2 slices of squash. There was a crab cake that was mushy. The 4 ounce lamb chop was cooked nicely. Very pricey for mediocre quality. Also, there was a plastic like leaf on the plate that was inedible. Not many diners on a Saturday night. I have used to love it here. Prior to the pandemic it was awesome. I have tried 3 times since and it never improved to the prior standards. I will not be back. One of my friends who is in the restaurant industry told me she heard poor reviews, so, guess what, we went to try without those friends!! We went with a group and happened to go for their valentine day special. Most got their special of "surf and turf", which was a very small piece of fillet and 4 shrimp. First off, I will say, the food itself was very good. No one was a fan of how this dish was presented, all on one large dish to be split by the couple. Once split, it cooled off quickly and looked more like an appetizer or tapas (small plate). My biggest recommendation would be quantity. For example, the salads were very, very skimpy. The "sides" with the surf and turf special were also, very skimpy. Now, we have dined all over the globe in very high end restaurants and understand quantity does not equate to quality, BUT, in this instance, it seems Isabellas is trying to make or remake their name in the local restaurant scene. They are doing so much right, just increase the quantity of a few of the items. For example, the special surf and turf dinner for two, had there been an ever so increase in the potato au gratin side and the spinach (which, I would also say, needed a bit of help, not bad, but one more like Ruth Chris's renowned creamed spinach) would have been better. So, I don't think making those servings just a wee bit larger would increase the cost of goods significantly, but would certainly go a long way in making the average diner feel more satisfied.

He had a great personality, being super friendly and letting us know what his favorite dishes were. We ordered the French onion soup, have tray of old forge pizza, and a hangover burger. The French onion soup was honestly really delicious. It was so flavorful and not overly loaded with onions. It was a perfect soup. The old forge pizza was really good, I'm not the biggest fan personally of PA pizza but this one was pretty tasty. The burger looked and tasted amazing. It was cooked perfectly and was ginormous. Mike made the meal that much better with his great attitude even tho you can tell this dude was definitely exhausted after an insanely long work weekend. Thanks for not rushing us out and for being super friendly, we appreciate that. We will definitely be back in the near future since it's hard to find decent food in the area.

I called the hotel around 9:30pm and informed the front desk that I would be arriving very late. The woman I spoke to said that is fine and we can check in whenever we get in. My husband and I arrived at the hotel around 3am and were told our room was canceled because we didn't confirm the room. The man at the front desk, Kai, was extremely rude from the beginning and just kept telling us that because there was no note left from his coworker, our room were canceled. There was no trying to see what he could do for us or try to resolved the issues. It was just "yeah, your room was canceled". I asked him how could the company cancel the room when I called and spoke to an actual person who confirmed they put a note in my chart? He said I'm supposed to call the hotel twice to confirm there is a note. Why should I call twice to confirm when I already spoke to someone?? He was very dismissive and he lacked customer care. We went back and forth for a while because I felt everything he said was untruthful. He said your room was canceled but you'll be refunded on Monday. At this point, he still didn't say would you like to book a room tonight although your room was canceled or let's see what I can offer you? It was just very dismissive. I said how would I know if I'm going to be refunded? He said I'll just need to be have patience. I've never heard of a hotel refunding money when you no show. They charge a no show fee/still charge you for the room. So to tell me that I will receive a refund on Monday did not seem truthful. I feel it was just to push us out of the hotel. I asked for his information so I can call on Monday. I asked for his first and last name and he says " now you're getting too personal. Why would I give you my last name? I don't have to give you my last name". He was overall rude and lacked professionalism. I was shocked. It was 3am, the lack of compassion and concern was truly astonishing. I never thought I would have to endure that.

Do not stay here. I…read moredid not really like this hotel. The only positive thing was that they let me check in early since I was ahead of time for my travel. The rest isn't very good. I see another review with some of my issues (I have more), part of which is that the renovations underway are a total mess and it smells like loose drywall dust. It wasn't immediately clear where to check in. When I did check in they informed me I'd get one of the new renovated units, which I was delighted to hear. However, when I got to the room I found that the door did not shut all the way without force being strongly applied. There was already a ding in the wall too (just funny I thought). It kind of smelled like drywall there too. It's a nice part of the state and lots of potential great scenery from the 5th floor, but the view out of my window was the parking lot with all dumpsters and such from the contractor. I guess that's expected but it was pretty bad. I see that from another review as well. Place was basically empty - why not give me a better room? I was tired so I laid on the bed and tried to turn on the TV and I couldn't really get it working until I fiddled with it for like 10-15 minutes. I think the battery was low or dead. Batteries were not renovated I went to use the bathroom and found that the toilet paper dispenser was right next to the toilet and situated so far back that I could not really reach it while on the toilet. See image. Hilariously bad contractor. Turns out the plumbing wasn't quite done since my toilet kind of flushed on its own about every 15 minutes and every time another room flushed theirs. Ghost toilet. So, whatever, the bed was good and the room was warm so I headed down in the morning for some breakfast and they asked for my voucher. I told the front desk I needed mine, but no. No no no you silly fool, you do not get a voucher with your bargain basement room. I had been naive! I guess for $125/night bagels and coffee are not free. I had to pay for breakfast. Uh, no. I did not...I went and got a gas station muffin. It was delicious.

TERRIBLE place to see rock shows. I'm not 95yo I want to stand, clap, cheer...not sit silently during a show like I'm catatonic. The Opera house in Wilkes Barre was absolutely beautiful with friendly staff and reasonable prices. It sucked that everyone HAD to sit the whole time. Not a very good rock vibe at all just sitting watching. Every time anyone stood up to get a drink or go to the bathroom it ruined your view because we were made to sit. Devour the day was great. Sleep Theory was absolutely AMAZING! They were the real stars of the show. The crowd went absolutely amazing for them! The sound and vocals were just as good as on the radio and YouTube. Daughtry was just okay. So many people got up and left when Sleep Theory went off stage. More people got up and left waiting for Daughtry to set up and take stage. After the 2nd Daughtry song even more people left obstructing our view of the stage even more because we were seated like we were watching a band in a retirement home. We left after 4 songs because our view was so obstructed by so many other people leaving. We gave up. I'd go back yo watch an opera or a play, but NEVER for a rock show again.

This place is not only the most beautiful dining establishment in all of northeastern Pennsylvania…read moreand the Poconos, but also has the finest dining service, selection, and quality of food and drink, as anywhere I've ever been. From being greeted by the parking valets, Stanley & Dwayne, (who actually ran ahead of me to be able to open the door for me), to the host being extremely accommodating after I realized I was an hour early for my reservation, the bartenders, the servers, the food runners, several managers stopping by to see if everything sufficed. The amuse bouche was absolute perfection! My Caesar salad with boquerones was as good as I've ever had anywhere. I ordered the salmon as my entrée. I considered not ordering it because it came over risotto, but was assured by one of my servers, Angela, that I would not be disappointed. I've never had a great risotto served to me in a restaurant other than at Cafe Rinaldi in old Forge. I was gladly mistaken. This risotto was perfectly prepared and perfectly flavored, it was incredible. Their cocktail selection is perfect. Annie takes the classics, and makes them her own, with homage to the spectacular gilded age surroundings, right down to the rarely seen ingredients and glassware. There's a libation for everyone's taste and a great wine list as well. The Mansion Manhattan was as good a Manhattan as I've had anywhere. Their level of service is unsurpassed by anywhere in the northeast. This certainly has a lot to do with the leadership and the training program (not to mention, their hiring process must be impeccable!). The only place that could even compete with it service-wise is the French Manor in Sterling. This is one of the only two fine dining restaurants in all of northeastern Pennsylvania. I noticed that every party that walks through the doors is treated like they are the most important guests of the evening. (THAT is another component of fine dining). When you go, take a minute to walk around and see the different rooms and compare them to the original pictures from the early 1900s that were used in the restoration process. Amazing!
