I'm always leery to rent pet-friendly because not everyone has a "four on the floor" policy, however, cleaning beforehand should take care of things. This was not the case with this property. My parents arrived to the cabin on time but we were delayed a day and did not get to the cabin until late Christmas Eve. My parents are too nice and noticed a lot of cleaning issues (glasses put back dirty, fridge cleaned with gross rag, dirty floors, dirty surfaces) but didn't want to complain and also didn't check our bedroom on the second floor (mobility issues). When we got in to go to bed the sheets looked like they had not been changed and had dog hair (or lots of human hair) all over the sheets and pillow cases. The floors were disgusting and definitely not vacuumed as well as the side tables were filthy. I reached directly out to the property to let them know my boyfriend and I would be leaving to a hotel in town but that I wasn't going to uproot my parents and that they would be staying. I never asked for a refund but wanted them to know that whoever is cleaning did a horrendous job (Lorie according to the note) but I received a response from them that we could all go to a hotel and that they were ending our reservation the next morning at 10 am on Christmas morning. My parents are in their 70's and so we had to rush Christmas morning and miss spending it with my brother and his family in order to pack back up to vacate. I have never experienced such horrible customer service and unless you want to be kicked out for reporting something - do not rent from these people. They did credit us back for the night that they kicked us out and I was luckily able to get my parents a room as well (at a premium and more than the cabin). But this cabin was costing us $500 a night...so there was no excuse for a dirty property and bad customer service. Shame on you Mountain Escapes.

I used Chrissy at Premier Properties Management to rent a vacation home in Murphy,NC. I arrived at…read morenight to pick up my key to the house from the company, and it was dark. She didn't leave any of the lights on for me to be able to find the property (there is one small sign almost impossible to see at night). It was raining heavily, so it took us about 30 minutes to find the business. When I finally arrived, found the lock box to the property and put the code in, there was no key in the box. Another 20 minutes later and she finally responded to my texts, saying she forgot to put the key in the lock box. She showed up 10 minutes later, and when we discussed it she promised me she would take some money off the rental. I just receive my $200 deposit back, and she didn't take any money off the rental as promised. Poor business, I would not recommend using her.

We had a few gluten free people in our group and he still made an absolutely incredible meal that was 100% gluten free and I didn't even know until he told me. The rice was cooked al dente and the truffle was dominant. Loved it. Salad was intermittent course and was dressed beautifully with a nice balsamic vinaigrette Entree was sous vide finished grilled pork tenderloin. There was one terrible thing about our stay at Eagles Perch -- it was WAAAAYY too short! Normally,…read morewe book places like this for a week, but due to the peculiarities of our summer schedule, we only had three nights here. Particularly sad, since this is possibly our favorite cabin rental ever. The Eagles Perch is the best-equipped, well-designed cabin we've stayed in (and we've stayed in many). Our family is the get-away-from-it-all type, and this cabin is perfect for that -- isolated enough to totally chill, but close enough to drop into nearby towns when the urge hits. Again, the Perch has just about everything you could need, and the cabin is exceptionally well-maintained. To say there is lots of deck/porch space would be an understatement, and during our early August visit, the outdoor fans were greatly appreciated. We particularly enjoyed meals and games on the extended covered outdoor deck area, enjoying the scenery, including those early-morning foggy vistas and late-night starry skies. The owners were totally helpful, friendly and communicative. We hope to return here as soon as next year and "finish the job." Can't recommend the Eagles Perch enough.

The cabin was complete with linens and towels being of high quality; beds were king size and comfortable; kitchen well stocked with dishes, pots, utensils, and coffee maker; appliances are high end. More than expected in a rental.
