They offer private farm tours, carriage rides, a bed & breakfast, a wedding chapel and lots of flowers to enjoy. My family went on the carriage ride with Brian and Barbie. They use an original carriage from the 1800s which has been updated with fiberglass wheels and hydraulic breaks. The carriage is drawn by Moses and Aaron (Gypsy Vanner Cross horses). The ride takes about one hour along a mountain gravel road. For portions of the ride, Brian & the horses kick up the speed to around 40 mph. It's pretty cool and exhilarating. A fun family friendly experience. The kids enjoyed petting the animals. They have a donkey, a pony, fainting goats, chickens and pheasants. You'll also find daffodils, tulips, hyacinths, a type of cherry blossom and other flowers.

Driving up the long driveway, you don't really appreciate the location until you reach the top and are able to look down on the pasture and river below. Ocoee Creat is located in Polk County Tennessee. The barn is a built barn for the wedding and event industry. The barn has garage doors facing the mountains which can be fully raised to allow a perfect view to the east. The inside of the barn has rooms for bride and groom and although I did not go inside the rooms, they appear to be able to be used for an overnight stay. All in all, this venue was beautiful and my wife and I had a great time. We do wish there had been some horses in the pasture though.

It is a working farm and the storefront is well marked. We rang the bell and a lady came out to help us. We selected some hanger steak, strips, and a sirloin. They offered a discount on frozen steaks while we were there, but also had a large selection of fresh steaks. We found the prices to be very reasonable. For the next three nights we had steak for dinner. I was truly impressed with the flavor profile of this grass fed beef. I am normally a grain fed guy, but these steaks were incredible. I eat hanger steak regularly and the hanger steak we had was the most flavorful hanger I have ever tasted. It was so good, that I went back and stocked up on 10 lbs to take home. We also found that you can purchase their beef online and have it shipped. Highly recommend if in the area and I will definitely be ordering some more steak once I go through this beef that I brought home. Awesome resource.

Yet once we parked, a gentleman in a golf cart was waiting for us, to take us to the main venue. Nicer than walking. We talked to other guests in the forest setting, under the trees' canopy, before sitting on one of the benches for the ceremony. Photos on the website show a wedding by the river, but that would have meant climbing down and up stairs, before and after the wedding. Since most of the attendees were over 50, the forest setting was better. The ceremony here was beautiful & like a fairy tale! While the wedding party was photographed, wedding guests enjoyed appetizers and drinks by the river. My only complaint was the lack of covers for foods. It was unappetizing to see flies enjoying the food, too. The young woman serving wine, beer, and water was pleasant & knowledgeable. No hard liquor was served as it is not permitted at this venue. I believe the food and drink was NOT part of the venue - it was catered. The reception hall was beautiful - from the long table in the center for the wedding party to the circular tables for guests on either side. The organization of the night was perfect - the entry of the wedding party, food service, first dances, open dancing, cake cutting, and sparkler send off. The food was very good - served outside, and we were called by table to get it served to us. The cupcakes were delicious: blueberry, red velvet, white cake, and others. Not sure how much of the event was provided by venue and how much was catered or rented/brought in. If you don't mind a barely two lane road into and out of the venue, and you don't need hard liquor to have a good time, this property is beautiful for a wedding or large event.
