We loved the wine--every tasting was delicious, and we ended up taking a few bottles home. The charcuterie board was fresh, generous, and paired perfectly with the wines. We also stayed in the Airstream on the property, which made the getaway even more memorable. It was cozy, peaceful, and the perfect place to unwind after an afternoon of wine tasting. If you're looking for a romantic date spot, a weekend escape, or a new winery to discover in North Georgia, Kerith House is definitely worth the visit. We can't wait to come back!

They had live music and almost every table was taken. We walked up to a young lady who was serving wine in a cart. We told her it was our first time. And she explained that if we wanted by the glass, we can buy from her or go inside and get a tasting or a bottle. We decided to get a tasting first to see what we would like. We were greeted by a woman who gave us some good recommendations. However once she poured the wine on the carafe, we were not given wine glasses to pour them in. As a first timer, we just thought we were supposed to drink from those. It was only until a very nice lady who works there walked by and asked us where our glasses were. We said we were not given any. She went inside and got us two wine glasses with a little bag of oyster crackers each. It was a lovely day! Can't wait to come with my friends and family.

They offer private farm tours, carriage rides, a bed & breakfast, a wedding chapel and lots of flowers to enjoy. My family went on the carriage ride with Brian and Barbie. They use an original carriage from the 1800s which has been updated with fiberglass wheels and hydraulic breaks. The carriage is drawn by Moses and Aaron (Gypsy Vanner Cross horses). The ride takes about one hour along a mountain gravel road. For portions of the ride, Brian & the horses kick up the speed to around 40 mph. It's pretty cool and exhilarating. A fun family friendly experience. The kids enjoyed petting the animals. They have a donkey, a pony, fainting goats, chickens and pheasants. You'll also find daffodils, tulips, hyacinths, a type of cherry blossom and other flowers.

Mercier Orchards was our first stop during our fall family trip and it was such a fun experience!…read more We started our visit by heading up to the orchard for some apple picking. It was my first time apple picking so I was really excited to experience it with my family. We rode a tractor up to the orchard and along the way our guide shared the history of the orchards and gave us some fun information about the different varieties of apples that grow in the orchards. We had the best time walking the orchard and picking the apples right off the trees and getting to eat them on the spot. After apple picking we stopped by the bakery to pick up some items to take back to the cabin. We picked up one of their locally made peach wines and their famous apple cider cinnamon donuts. They were delicious. Mercier Orchards is definitely a must visit if you're taking a fall trip to Georgia!
