I hosted a birthday party for a toddler at Busy Bee. Would definitely recommend! A couple of things that stood out: - Booking/ planning/ prepping all went without a hitch - The play area is great, fun, and spacious. The party room where you would have food/ drinks is right nearby, so it's super easy to monitor kids and transition from one are to another (unlike other places where party room is more disconnected from play) - the center is located in a large shopping area. Which meant easy parking for guests and tons of options to order snacks/ food etc nearby so you wouldn't have to lugg stuff from home - I called several similar places in East Bay, and Busy Bee was by far the most uncomplicated wrt managing guest lists, number of attendees etc. Most importantly: kids LOVED it and were super tuckered out after that! read more

Love having an indoor playground open during the holiday (new years) We paid $15 but I was happy that my kiddo has a safe DRY place to tumble, climb and play. The gym is pretty small, no shoes and apparently you can drop your kid off for a few hours and pick them up. They have weekday camps and other sessions as well. read more

Had the best experience! During this past weekend, we rented the center to celebrate my daughter'a birthday party! We had 20 + kids and equally the same amount of adults and we were able to fit comfortably. In other photos it does not show how spacious this location is. The studio space and play space are separated by a wall with a look-in window which is amazing to peep in and watch the kids play if needed. Booking this location was easy you go on their website and I believe the owner Anna will coordinate it all with you, which is helpful. She informed me that they provide (6) 4ft tables and seating stools (FOR KIDS! So they're tiny and short) which ended up very useful for our event. Day of the party, there were two women that help manage the party and LET ME SAY THEY ARE AMAZING!! Boomy and her daughter were the highlight of this location. They were super nice, helpful and made sure we had everything we needed for a successful party. I can't emphasize HOW MUCH I TRULY APPRECIATED her and her daughter for being there and making this such a memorable experience. I will be back again many more times just because this was truly the best experience I've had! read more

We did day camp and I was not impressed with the teacher at all. In fact, I hope my three year old wasn't traumatized. The kids were belittled ("did you really just sit down and pee your pants?"), punished ("there will be no movie tomorrow because you didn't earn it with good behavior", wtf it's camp!), yelled at and she truly seemed to loathe the existence of the children in her presence. A saw a small child around 3 yrs, crying at drop off and she did nothing to soothe him or help him adjust, just ignored him. Why is it that this woman has no help? Is this even legal? Seems like way too many kids for one disgruntled person to manage. I will never send my child back here. Highly concerning behavior from the teacher. Pretty annoyed I spent money on this experience. Also weird that they advertise two snacks but I witnessed her deny kids snacks saying YOU STILL HAVE FOOD IN YOUR LUNCH. Just give them all a snack. Unreal. Not a good camp for three year olds as their needs exceed what the teacher is able to provide. read more

Attended a birthday party there and though it's a nice space, the staff member present was absolutely not attentive at all. 3 times I had to interrupt her to request garbage bags, and requested that she pay attention to the kids unplugging the jump house. Staff noted to be writing letters entitled dear boyfriend, and had noise canceling earbuds in as I had to yell multiple times to get her attention for assistance. Now yes the parents with the kids messing with the plugs should have been more attentive 100%. Though seems off to me to have an employee working there who was so checked out. We've attended other similar type birthday parties around the island and beyond with much more helpful and involved staff members. Overall the space is likely more geared towards like the 2-4 or 5 year crowd, definitely for younger kids. Lots of food crumbs on the mats and around the edges. There's virtually zero adult seating so until kids moved the balance beam over to the mattress a few of us sat on that. Decent experience to see the space without having to pony up our own money, but wouldn't bother going back. There are better options with more things to do for similar price of day admittance. read more

My 3 year old spent two weeks here during his daycare summer break and he had a great time. The supervisors all seemed very caring and gave us good updates on how we was doing. After a couple days he was so excited each morning to keep going and kept asking to go over the weekend he had so much fun. read more

I wouldn't recommend this center for kids under 2. No one was rude, everything was clean, on the whole the experience was just ok. I took my daughter to the littlest class six months ago and I don't think the price is worth it for what we got. For starters, the woman who ran the class didn't seem to know much about toddlers. Most of the kids were 15months old and the first thing she did was ask them what their favorite animal was. She actually waited for them to respond... This and a few other things indicated to me that they added on a toddler class for the extra cash but they didn't have experience with the age group. Another thing is that my daughter wasn't always interested in doing the things the kids were instructed to do. (Which wasnt much). She's a runner and there wasn't much space to run. She also likes doors so she wanted to run to the front door and open and close it. She wasn't crying or distressed, she was just curious! The woman running it asked me THREE separate times in the same class "is she okay?" in a very concerned tone. I kept saying yes, she's fine, she's just exploring. Again, this demonstrates to me a lack of understanding of toddlers in general. We switched to Ruby's Tumbling which was much better suited for her age. It's more spacious and the instructor is more familiar with the age differences in kids. I think this center is perfectly fine in a lot of ways and I can't speak to its quality for older kids. I just can't recommend it for the littlest ones. read more

A gem in the bay! Busy Bee has been our go-to spot for a few years now. Our kiddo was enrolled in a preschool, now TK - but there are so many teachers in-service days and holidays where his school is closed. We are 2 working parents so having a place to turn for support like Busy Bee is a must. The staff are friendly, caring, and thoughtful. Kids have room to be themselves and have fun, and their days always have fun activities sprinkled in with flexible/free play time. It's also extra great for rainy days, as they have a great indoor setup for little kids to go wild and get their crazies out instead of being cooped up on the long cold winter rains! Our kiddo loves the mixed age environment, we love the reliability, price, quality and peace of mind. They're highly responsive anytime I call, text, or email. We're so grateful to have a place like this in the bay! read more

Went there for national bee day. It was not a good experience, it was more like a zoo with no structured activities. I didn't even want to leave my child because it didn't feel right. There were no instructions either of what to do and I had not been there before so that would have been nice! I had to sit there and play with her myself. We started taking my daughter to the honey bee tumbling classes at 18 months and she adores it! Always asks to go "Busy Bee?" Any time we drive near it. The staff are friendly and professional and go out of their way to ensure a great experience for all. My daughter has gotten better at balance, climbing, and coordination as a result of these classes, and she always naps great afterward! Highly recommend. read more

This is a great place to host birthday parties. It's one of the few places that allows you to rent out an entire place for a few hours of fun, a play area to burn off young kid energy, and a separate room for hosting and creativity to decorate for birthday parties. It's reasonably priced and Anna and her staff are wonderful. They help with decorating and cleanup. I've done two birthday parties here so far and I'm gonna be sad when my child ages out. I would recommend bringing a few extra folding chairs to any party so that the parents can sit. read more

It's been about 3 weeks since my almost 2yr old has been coming here to the busy Bee and he is still amazed as if it's his first time. He loves his aged timed classes as well as play time open hrs. I personally love the convenience of the location (shop, coffee, groceries, and activities all in one center and be able to find parking, wins!) Ms. Rad is super friendly and helpful and made my older guy feel welcome while waiting for his toddler brother. It made our day. We love coming here! read more

We enrolled my 3 1/2 year old in the Bumble Bees Fitness class and he enjoyed it so much! He loved the variety of activities, including warm up stretches, pretending to be different animals, practicing rolls, and doing obstacle courses. Activities differ from week to week, but class always ends with the giant parachute, where the kiddos help lift it up and down, shake it, etc. Then they're invited to sit underneath it as the adults lift and lower it (so magical at that age!). We decided to enroll my son for another 4-class session. Every week he asks when he can go back to Busy Bee and see Mrs. Rad. Such a wonderful center and we look forward to exploring other classes in the future. read more
