I tried quite a variety of items. The crispy pork belly was perfectly crispy and delicious, and the smoked pork belly was also very flavorful. The smoked Hmong sausage was good, and the ribs were tender, flavorful, and definitely something I would recommend as well. My favorite, though, was the brisket with mac and cheese. That dish leaned more toward traditional barbecue with the sauce and mac, and the brisket was incredibly tender. I needed to order Christmas gifts (wine gift baskets), so I created an account on gopuff and bevmo (even though they merged you have to create seperate accounts. I tried placing an order for the first wine gift basket, and it wouldn't accept my credit card (nothing wrong with it, I checked)...after hours of trying I contacted customer service chat, and she said she'd submit a ticket and they should call after 24 hours. The next day, no one contacted me, so I went back to my cart and tried again, but didn't work. In the meantime the products were going out of stock fast. I chatted with a customer service rep, and I asked him if would have better luck on the app, he said you might, because "there's less bugs there than the website" ! I finally was able to place my order with a different credit card, and it went through. I went in to place my second order, the $10 doesn't apply......after giving it some time, and having the items I wanted go out of stock, all because their website is a total mess full of bugs, I found one and placed it in my cart, and the coupon appeared magically, the order went through. A few minutes later I get a text stating that the item went out of stock, even though on the website it clearly showed in stock and they gave me choices 1 through 5, 1 being a replacement for $39.99 wine basket....I called customer service and get this, even though it was their fault that they didn't have the item, she said that if she replaces it with the more expensive one, the $10 promo will NOT apply because "website is different and customer service can't apply codes on alcohol orders! I was so angry, then I asked what else can she do to honor their offer, she said nothing, and then told me to call in the morning to try to catch an manager(escalation) because now they are busy and they can't come to the phone and she said you will lose the $10 when you cancel and place an order again. I was so angry I said "do you think after being treated this way I would place an order again?! The nerve of these people (and by the way, gopuff's customer service is based in the Philippines) This was supposed to be a Christmas gift for my husband's boss, now not only we couldn't buy the wine gift basket I lost the $10 off offer. I'm not sure exactly how with this kind of treatment of their customers this company grew, clearly their business practices are shady, offering a deal just to hook the customer but not honoring it later on. A company's customer service reflects how they owners really are and clearly the owners don't respect their customers. I'd say gopuff is headed where other companies like Toys r Us went and had to shut down their business. Good luck, you're going to need it!
