I felt invisible at first. No one acknowledged I was there for at least 10 minutes. I wasn't sure if I should use that newly acquired super power for good or evil. Eventually they saw I was serious about spending money and they ponied up. I do have to say that they know what their talking about. I've purchased many weapons from The Bullet Hole. It's always been a win/win experience and purchase. First off, the owners, Fran, Brooke, and Barbara know their business. There is no question about that. It's a family business. If you are are a first time gun buyer, or an inexperienced buyer, they will guide you into the best gun for your needs. They are honest, friendly and just plain nice people. That being said, what about their prices? Well, certainly I could have purchased online and saved the tax money. But then, you have to pay for the gun to be processed once it arrives at your gun dealer at home. That can be up to $50. Here is an example: I purchased a pistol from them for $450. With tax, it came to $481.50. Had I purchased it from Bud's Gun Shop (one of the biggest and least expensive online dealers) it would have been $440, but with the fee charged when you pick it up at your dealer's store, it would come to $470 to $490. If you need them to work with you, they will. As I mentioned, I've purchased many guns from them. I've paid perhaps $10 to $20 more than if I had purchased online. To me, it is a no-brainer to spend the extra and nominal difference with a local dealer and keep the money in my own community. Additionally, if you have a problem, they will jump all over it to make it right. Again, these are very honest and ethical people. If you are in the market for a gun or ammunition, go to The Bullet Hole. You can spend hours there. Bring a sandwich! read more

Fantastic Store. No matter how busy they are they take time with each customer. I recently traded in a Shotgun to upgrade to a new and better quality Shotgun for Sporting Clays. The Owner (Son) made me a sweet deal on my trade in and my new Shotgun. I anticipated having to go to 2-3 Gun Stores and maybe get a deal. They do size you up when you go in there. They do not value your business cause if they did then they would treat everybody the same. I have heard of this happening to people but I took it with a grain of salt and thought I would still check them out anyway. I was ignored the whole entire time I was in there despite standing right at the counter. They sized me up wrong because I took my conceal carry self right down to Fully Loaded Guns and Ammo on Tamiami Trail where they treat everyone with respect and spent my $1300.00 there instead. I've stopped by the Bullet Hole several times since moving to Sarasota County. Each time I found the owners to be friendly and helpful. I recently decided to purchase a Uberti black powder carbine and since it's not the kind of thing most dealers stock, I needed a local shop to order one for me. The folks at the bullet hole knew exactly what I was talking about and got a fair price quote for me in a jiffy. I am very disappointed with their customer service. I reserved a gun safe online and spoke with a lady who stated she would reserve it. We arrived to the store after traveling 50 miles with a trailer to pick it up and she states that she sold it. I can deal with that, it's a business, a poor practice but money is money I guess. She saw me looking at other safes, tells me she will check her computer for other ones that match what I am looking for then walks off and helps another customer, completely ignoring me from there on out. I waited because I found another one, which was $500 more than what I would have originally paid for the one I reserved. After waiting with my wife and our 6 month old for about 15 min and both employees in the store ignoring us I decided to take my business elsewhere. They didn't even acknolodge us leave when they were both sitting/standing right in plain sight of the door. Poor customer service. I would never spend a dime in that store due to their lack of willingness to help a customer. The woman also had a really poor attitude as well which is another turn off. Your best bet if your looking for a safe is just make the trip to Ft. Myers Koons LockSmith where they are actually willing to help their customers. I'm willing to drive another hour and a half away with my small child in tow (which is no simple feat), spend more money, and time than to buy a safe or any items from The Bullet Hole. read more
