People either love shark coast or hate shark coast due to the owner. I've only ordered one gun and suppressor from them, the shark puppy but my experience was great. I watch some of their Facebook lives and get their daily emails and maybe I'll order something else from them at some point. I do have two of their Glocks I bought at local gun stores. I'm lucky I don't live in Florida or I'd be broke going to their store. read more

My father recently purchased a custom Glock from Shark Coast Tactical and when I went to mount a Trijicon RMR on it the mounting screws stripped preventing me from getting the optic back off. I emailed them and told them my problem and they took the slide back removed the optic and provided me with more mounting screws at no cost to me. These guys care about what they do and they fixed my problem quickly. Better customer service than most gun manufacturers nowadays. 5 stars read more

I purchased a new suppressor and upon receipt it has all this residue or wear or something at the base. I sent Shark Coast photos, but they just keep stating the item is new and SilencerCo test fires them first. That doesn't explain the condition this item is in. Either exchanging it or returning it will cost me an additional set of fees ($180), which Shark Coast is unwilling to cover. They aren't even willing to provide a partial refund if I keep it. There's nothing I could have done as the customer to prevent this. read more

Recently purchased a Sig magazine for my brothers Sig 365XL in which I could not mail. I thought I might exchange this Item, as I was wanting to purchase a Trijicon scope when I walked into the store. I was approached by a salesman (black glasses, chrome chain necklace) who stated, in a loud voice, that all sales were final. Then I asked him if he could apply a credit to the purchase of the scope, now he's raising his voice so loud that everyone in the store is listening in as he said no. Then he's asking me for the receipt to point out All Sales are Final and this isn't a Walmart. I stated that I wasn't trying to be difficult, as I didn't know the stores policy. At this point everyone in the store is looking at me as he continues berating me. Perhaps the Shark Coast Tactical shouldn't hire staff with anger management problems. Shark Coast is family! I know the owner and staff for many years now as we worked the Gunshow's together in the past. As a business owner myself I admire their 1st class customer service. They were honest in that it would be complex and take 6 months. Admittedly, I was getting a little impatient after awhile, but Will took the time to reassure me that I initially made the right choice. Next, Lori contacted me and helped me to really refine it. She was the main artistic driver with this project and was devoted to making it right, but also will guide you on what works and what doesn't. I took the concealed weapons class with Brian Gordon on Sun, June 7th, 2020. My experience in a single word is - AMAZING! Brian's teaching method is a mixture of passion; compassion; understanding; patience and the uncanny ability to make everyone feel encouraged in a situation that is new for most of us. I have never held a gun in my life. In fact, up until taking Brian's course I was afraid. As a non-violent person, I was mistaken that guns and gun ownership was equivalent to violence. What Brian taught me about was being educated about guns and gun ownership. NRA safety rule, first and always and how to feel comfortable operating a weapon responsibly. I encourage anyone that is interested to take his course. You will feel empowered. You will understand the laws. You will be able to protect yourself and your loved ones. Have lived in Sarasota for 19 years. Decided to get my conceal carry license. Did my research and found the gun I wanted. I was excited to have Shark Coast be my local gun shop because a couple friends suggested it. It turned out to be the worst gun store experience of my life. Do not give this place your time or money. I joined as a member of the Shark Club thinking it would be good to keep up on the latest deals and info - turns out it's just a marketing scheme. I purchased a handgun package as a club member, and specifically asked if this was a regular price, club price or anything. I was told to my face in person at the store that, it's the same price all the time. I then responded "Oh OK, so it won't be going on sale tomorrow or anything will it?! Haha!" The guy said "Nope! Same price." The VERY NEXT DAY the owner was doing his Facebook live show and was showing the exact same gun and package that I just bought THE DAY BEFORE... and was offering the same exact package for $80 less than what I paid. I was a little miffed but thought I'll just go down and explain and they'll no doubt honor the sale price. Nope. Went in with the gun and receipt and explained what happened. The first guy said "you have to talk to the manager." Re-explained the whole thing to the manager, and he said "you have to talk to the owner." Both guys so far were cocky, overly aggressive, with major attitudes. Then I got the owner, who came in at me with jacked up attitude and asked what I wanted. Had to explain the whole situation a third time, AND explained I would be happy to even just have store credit if that was better for him - and he wanted to do nothing about it. I told him I didn't think that was right since I specifically asked if it would be going on sale and was told no. He was ticked off, and in a loud aggressive voice in front of a few other customers "So what, you want me to give you $80???" I said "That seems fair to me but I'm happy to take store credit." He then took out $80, slammed it on the counter and said "Here's your money. You can spend it wherever you #^%**#@ want!" Well, you can be sure I won't be spending it at Shark Coast, that's for sure. They lost my friends' business now as well after I told them what happened. I have to believe there are others out there with similar experiences. Terrible customer service. read more

Drove 40 min to stand in the lobby for another 20 min waiting for the gun smith only to be told the part might be across the street in their other store. Then he just walked away! I won't be back! Horrible customer service! A total bro dude staff, they must work on commission because they are not willing to help on small sales. I was talking to a sales person when a customer cut in and asked about a gun and the employee left me for a gun sale without helping me or getting me to someone who could help. Once again I went to Shark Coast to pick up a gun. WOW with the new store I was blown away. If you haven't been you need to go. You now can see the merchandise they offer. I didn't get out with only one gun. I got two. I live 80 miles away and it was well worth the trip the second gun I got I have been looking for over a year. Will and the guys are always so nice and helpful. I am in Lakeland and Don't mind the drive. They always have some thing to drink hell even a clean bathroom. Awesome shop! Stopped in to get a microtech knife and I can't remember the guys name but was very helpful. They had just what I wanted. He even gave my 3 kids one of their patches when he found out we drove 3 hrs just to get that knife. I will definitely be going back to buy more. read more

They are a rip off. Don't take anything there to be cleaned or fixed, you will get the whole song and dance of why your gun is beyond repair and why you're better off buying a new one from them. I watched them do it not only to me but to someone else. I had 2 of my guns sent in for cleaning and got the whole sales pitch/scheme when I went to pick up the first one then when I went back to pick up the second one he was literally giving the same freaking speech to someone else. They have gotten too big and lost their way, focusing on the money rather than their customers. read more
