The peppercorn sauce was yummmmmmmy with lots of flavour and my dinner companion loved it too. It was her birthday so I went to settle the bill sneakily and the friendly staff informed that I should have told them in advance and they would have offered something on the house and brought candled desert etc. Very nice and would totally go back to get my steak hit! :)

I'd add a special recommend for their bread and delicious marinated olives as choice for a starter. As for wine, they have a good selection of Malbecs. It would be perverse to drink anything else with Argentine steak, but other options are available. Service is friendly and efficient and the place has an overall very comfortable feel even though it's quite a big, high-ceilinged room. Overall pricing is pretty reasonable for the quality. Don't forget to have coffee, that's excellent too.

However, I found myself being thrown out with the rubbish after finishing my meal, and although I keep hanging on, still there's no real explanation for such a measured response to the student exchange and optional extras people can't wait to order. London has become a brewery for once-in-a-lifetime retreats and if you enjoy the revolution of gastronomic culture, you'll most definitely enjoy this concrete halal restaurant which offers the best in a thriving burger industry. I am obliged by the good service.

It was nice to be in another country and find a little piece of home. What's interesting about this place is not only the name but the memorabilia plastered on the walls throughout. Pictured that showcase Millennium parks famed "Bean", The Blues Brothers, The Chicago Flag amongst other things were really cool. It gives the people in Hammersmith a slight glimpse into one of the best cities in the world. This place was within walking distance from our hotel and one of the only places that stayed open late. Our first night finding it, they were closing. Once we told them we were from Chicago, they were pleased to service us. They fired up the grills and got to cooking. There were 4 of us total and they made sure to live up to our cities great name by serving quality eats. We tried just about everything on the menu, seeing us how we ate here 4-5 times throughout the duration of our stay. Being from Chicago you become spoiled when it comes to dining out and cuisine because there are so many great options. London, ehh not so much. The food here at several restaurants was bland and disappointing. Burger and Lobster was great. Outside of that this place saved our asses or else I probably would've just had to survive on fruits and water for the remainder of our trip.

Everything is cooked fresh in front of you and the portions are pretty good for the price. Thank goodness for quality chippies!

The restaurant is impressive, a large…read moremodern open plan restaurant and large bar with conservatory overlooking the river Thames at Teddington lock, welcoming you to a friendly, decorated interior. If anything it is off the 'main beat' of the High Street, but certainly not out of reach, although it maybe suffers from 'out of sight, out of mind.' The staff are equally friendly and welcoming. On the dot our waiter, introduced himself to us and shows us to our table. The menu reads well, offering a good choice without overpowering you or using foodie 'jargon'. For starters, we had Shetland Island Mussels "Marinière" and had Roasted Rump of Lamb & Rib Eye for our main course which, was done as per our request medium rare. The food was truly out of this world and is a "must have" when visiting this place and goes perfectly with Argentina (Pinot Noir). Overall, food and service was excellent. Our request for a waterside table was graciously accommodated. Service was attentive without hovering. Excellent service!

Not usually one to give a Restaurant a poor review but after the afternoon/evening we had at The…read moreWharf I feel it's my duty to warn people about it. Let me start by saying the food was 'OK', nothing to shout about but nice. The small portion size was a a bit of a problem. I was left still hungry after their Roast Rump of Lamb, there were no side dishes. The location of the Wharf is really nice. Just by Teddington Loch so you can watch the boats on the Thames. The dining area is floor to celling glass so everyone gets a good view. The service was absolutely abominable. For want of a better word the waiters were 'snooty' and very unobliging. We were a party of five. Myself and three others arrived first. We were asked weather we wanted to sit at the bar or go straight to the table, so we opted to go to the table. The Waiter then proceeded to put the menu's on the table, walk away and never come back. No offer of drinks while we wait, it took me to get up and get a waiter to be served some drinks. When the rest of our party arrived, exactly the same thing happened. After we finally had our drinks we started browsing the menu. The Waiter then appeared again to tell us the kitchen was closing in 15 minutes so we needed to order now! I enquired later as to why you would take a booking for 5 at a time when the kitchen was about to close and the received the response of "most of our patrons order quickly"....... The final nail in the coffin for the evening was the fact that we were offered no choice of desert and then were rudely ushered off the table so they could clear away. We headed down to the bar and an hour later I noticed the same table was still unoccupied. So avoid the Wharf like the plague. The location at Teddington lock is lovely but you will be treated like you're a nuisance, not a paying customer. I hope this review has help steer you off the idea of having dinner at the Wharf.
