I was checked into room 8 and found it absolutely charming. I had a comfortable night's sleep and my room had all the amenities I needed for my one night stay. The building is over 600 years old, and the style of the room compliments the sloping wood beams and floors. As the building is so old, they are limited as to what they can do with it (understandably!) so be prepared for some stairs (nothing major) and small corridors. I ate at the restaurant that night and had the hanger steak, some red wine, and the cheese board - absolutely delicious! Would love to come back again another time on a leisure trip.
