I want to patronize my local businesses instead of big box chains when I think I am going to get…read morebetter quality even if I pay a little more. I have personally seen and purchased some of Hibriten's lumber and can tell you it is good quality. But, with that said, one day I needed more lumber then I could transport myself and got them to deliver. The day it was delivered I started to use it. And let me tell you something, only four of the boards were fit for anything! All others were twisted, chunks missing, big dents, huge knots, dry and cracked like it was left outdoors for a few years. On top of this, one board was cut in half to make two boards I wanted. The bad thing of this was that they didn't cut it straight nor get them cut to the right length. One half was longer then I needed and the other was shorter. When I called Hibriten and told them what I got, the response was a very calm southern "Sorry, would you like to bring in the one that was cut short for a replacement?" To this I was thought, "Wow, really!?" I get the same customer service at big box stores! And let me tell you, if I had went to a big box store I would have paid less money. So they have lost me as a customer since they can't treat me better then this, I will get the same quality and cheaper somewhere else.

A Tractor Supply Company? Huh? What is this, you ask? It is a hardware store, a farming store, a…read moreclothing store, a pet store... It is aisles of all the things you didn't know you needed rolled into one! Ok, to be honest, I only come here for the extensive selection of dog products (food, treats, toys). There are aisles and aisles of products just for dogs, not to mention for other animals such as horses, birds, etc. I also like to look around for small gifts for others (read: stocking stuffers for Dad). I suspect, however, that those who own or work on farms like this place for a whole lot of other reasons beyond my current understanding. This Tractor Supply Co is a little off the beaten path in that it is not close by many other businesses. It is on Old 421 headed East from Boone. I come here with my dog because it is on our way back from the dog park at the Watauga Humane Society. We love to stop off and walk around (he's allowed inside, as are all dogs) and pick out a new toy or treats. 5 stars for me for this place! Love the uniqueness of the items here (including the cute baby chicks omg aw), the friendliness/knowledge/non-annoyingness of the staff, the cleanliness of the facility, and the fact that my dog is allowed. I hate that I've never stopped by a Tractor Supply before. I will now be visiting all others!

I had lost their number (which is 828-295-0899, by the way) and Google has the incorrect phone number. I had to call another plumber which had no idea what they were doing and made matters much worse, even with 2 people and 3+ hours. Fortunately, I saw the Labonte truck in town a few weeks later and snapped a photo of the truck which gave me the correct phone number. Hunter came today and finished the job to perfection in LESS than the time we had calculated (under 2 hours). I'm thrilled above and beyond at the service and professionalism that Labonte provides. I can't recommend them enough. From beginning to end, they are the BEST without a doubt!!! Thank you Roy, Anita and Hunter. I'm a fan for life!!! Call Labonte at (828) 295-0899. You will not be disappointed!
