I had a great experience at The Browtique in Bexley. I grew up in the area so it was convenient to a lunch date with my mom, which is a bonus. I typically do my brows myself, but with a big trip and two weeks of wanting to spend zero extra time on my makeup, I decided to leave nothing to chance and opted to have them tended professionally. I paid the extra fee to have the owner, Destiny, do my brows herself. No messing around. I walked in and she was ready. The space was clean, and I dropped into some casual conversation with her and her coworker with ease. They were both free when I walked in, but both chairs filled within a few minutes. I explained where I was going/my needs, and she did her thing. My brows are a little uneven as far as thickness, so for the first couple of days I added a little fill to the one, but after a couple of days they evened out and still looked great. The shape was perfect, they were the right shade, and gave me the POP I wanted. I went in the ocean multiple times, salty hot springs, hiking in the Mexican sun, endured a myriad of pillowcases in hotels, plus had my sleep mask and several different hats on, and we're still looking pretty good now that I'm home from my adventures. I would definitely consider microshading there in the future. Destiny's vibe might not be right for everyone, but the Browtique was it for me. read more

I have been debating writing this review as I used to love the browtique, however, my last visit was so disappointing. I used to come to browtique a little over 3 years ago and would always get the brow wax, tint, and lip wax. I always had a positive experience and during my waxing they would ask me how I liked my brows and what type of skin I had and after the waxing they would use tweezers and scissors to shape my brows. I decided to visit again as it was almost my birthday and I wanted to treat myself. I made an appointment online for the three services I usually got and was expecting the quality of service I was used to having. When I showed up on time to my appointment there were only two workers who were both in the middle of services with other people. I am fine waiting for a little bit but no one spoke to me when I came in and I immediately felt unwelcome. I signed in on the paper and sat down. My waxer told the lady in his chair that he would just be a second and then told me to sit down and acted as if I was inconveniencing his other services. Other than telling me where to sit he never spoke to me about what I liked my brows to look like or asked about my skin. I have very sensitive skin and not all wax works on me and it can leave me very red. He immediately started waxing and and tore some of my skin off. I also have very light and fine hair, some of which he completely missed because he did not take the time to look. He also did not trim any of my hairs, which I feel is unfair considering I paid for a wax AND shaping. For my lip wax he missed a large chunk of hair as well. He did not even remember I had scheduled a brow tint and I did not care to mention it as I was already upset with the services I had received. The only thing he said to me after the services was when he laughed about how red my skin was and then took me to cash out. I had to come home and use my own wax strips and fix the job that they had done. Not to mention I had a crusty patch of blood under one of my eyebrows that took over a week to heal. I am so disappointed as I used to love this place and would come frequently, however, after this experience I don't think I will be able to come back again. read more

The lack of professionalism and customer service the owner (Destiny Ward) of the establishment provides is insane. I should have took heed to the red flags at my 1st microshading consultation. An hour before my consultation that was supposed to be located in Bexley, I received a text, not call, but a text to switch to her other location in Reynoldsburg. Which was an additional 20 mins. It's just a small closet in the back of a nail salon. I go in the room and am welcomed in this cramp room with herself and her mother. Her mom stayed there pretty much the entire time advocating for her daughter's work and being a cheerleader. It was very weird. I had sat down at this point and was told by the owner I could wait while she opened a new box with a ring light so she could assemble. That took an additional 20 mins. About 45 mins later she then proceeded on "starting". Her mom finally left while she worked. Prior to it ending her mom returned with food and the owner asked if she could eat her chicken sandwich in front of me while she was still answering my questions and setting me up for my 1st appointment. For a $550 procedure All of these events should have stopped me and resumed my business at a better high quality location. March 18th arrives and I go to the main location in Bexley. She began her 2-3 hour process by outlining, numbing and then taking me to the basement to began the procedure. She completed the work and my appointment was ended and I received aftercare products and my 2nd appt in 6-8 weeks. Unfortunately later that evening our governor closed all salons so it was unknown when this order would be lifted. It was lifted 2 months later May 15th. I did not receive a call or follow up email about how I was caring for my brows and if I had any questions. Anyone that has had the procedure knows it's very drastic in the amount of peeling that occurs a week later and that the ink done looks invisible now. I finally get an automated email the week of salons reopening across Ohio and I email back with a time and date Monday, May 18th at 4:00 pm. I rush there from wfh and walk in masked up to see the owner and another lady sitting on the couch with no mask just chatting. I said my name and that I'm here for my scheduled appointment. Mind you no other customers were in sight. The owner then said she did not have me booked for the day. She walked over to me with no mask while I backed up and I pulled up my email showing her confirmation email. She saw it but then said she can't do it today but could do it the following day, Tuesday at 3 pm. I was in shock like why could it not be done when threat is what she scheduled and I had drove 30 mins to get here. There were no customers! I then said that this is not making sense and that I would call to reschedule with this inconvenience. She said nothing. At this point I did not want to communicate via phone I needed it all to be via email so that I could have a paper trail of what she is communicating. Glad I did!! I emailed her my concern on why was my appointment not done and to work around my schedule because of her inconvenience and lack of timeliness. She came back via email full fledge wining and complaining about herself being overwhelmed right now with life and that she has to train her staff on safety procedures. ALL of this someone like myself, a customer, should not know or care about. She then said it's up to her if she wants to schedule me for 2nd treatment or not. Mind you this package I paid up front includes 3 treatments before it's complete. I'm glad I didn't return because I was told she is still traveling and taking trips to different states right now in this pandemic. And the returning back to the salon and working on people. I'm sure she did not quarantine for 14 days nor got herself and her staff covid testing. Take your dollar to another safe, clean environment where the staff is conscious and professional with their customers. read more

I was having a really bad day so I decided to get my eyebrows Micro blaze. The lady was very nice and explain every detail to me. Very gentle tatting my eyebrows. It has been two years and I still get compliments on how beautiful my eyebrows look and I will recommend this place for anybody who looking for beautiful perfect natural looking eyebrows. read more

It was easy to schedule online and I was very excited to try out this salon because I had been following them on social media for a couple years. This was my first time getting my brows waxed or dyed in a salon so I was a little nervous. I have naturally blonde eyebrows so I brought my Anastasia dipbrow pomade in to show the color that I like... dark brown. The stylist said no more than a few words to me the entire appointment, despite me trying to be friendly and talk to her. It felt like I was inconveniencing her with my appointment. When she revealed the final result I liked the shape, but the color was a medium blonde. I know I should have said something but again, I felt very uncomfortable the entire time and could tell she wanted to rush me out for her next appointment.
