When I moved to Valencia I needed a new brow and hair salon. Brow Spa came highly recommended by many so I gave it a shot! Best place in SC! I'm here for everything... waxing, makeup, hair, facials, etc. they do it all, always on time, bare with my hectic travel schedule and always find a way to work with what times I need, I actually bring my laptop in and work there during hair apts and they always ask and ensure I'm connected to their wifi, and always make me feel a little prettier than when I first walked in :) The crew is fantastic and I feel like I've made such great friends with Angela, Steven, and Tash. Angela, the receptionist, could not get me in for another 2 weeks because she said they sold so many discounted deals. I agreed to the rescheduled time. Loved this place! A little tiny hole in the wall and you will miss this place if you blink. I made the appointment with Natasha. She was fabulous! She listens to the client about what they want. I was looking for a place to get my 2 year-old. I have been to the place in Newhall and it was okay... But the Brow Bar is so much better! I made an appt that same morning. When I got there they were ready for my daughter and there was no waiting...and no screaming kids (unlike other kids' salons). The place is decorated in a whimsical way...check out the silhouette pictures! Amanda listened to exactly what I wanted and then proceeded to make my daughter feel comfortable. They have a little TV for the kids to watch during the cut and a cute 50's style car for the kids to sit in. Amanda created a cute style (see pic) & took the time to make sure it was perfect! Afterwards she gave my daughter a lollipop (she even asked if it was okay first!) and a balloon. All for $15 (for kids 12 & under)! literally the worst place ever. I came here to get a light copper color, my hair wasn't dark, my roots were obviously in, a coworker recommended Rachel. she decided to bleach my roots and parts of the hair. I have no idea why she would do this...bleach is soo bad for hair it obviously kills your hair, I was opposed to this but figured, lets see what the end result looks like... I told her I didnt want my hair red and it turned out dark red.I asked for a copper orange color and showed her pictures, she was soo confident it would turn out the same color and it did NOT.. It doesnt make sense how you bleach hair to lighten it up and put color and make the hair dark. It looks nothing like what i asked for, I never told her I was happy with the hair nor said oh you did a good job because she did a horrendous job. when your roots are in, its virgin hair and virgin hair grasps color better so there was no need to bleach the roots, that's why you can use a different developer for the roots from the ends, like any hair person knows this, she clearly has no experience in this field... I came home and washed it so it wouldnt be so dark red, it looked like Ariel from the little mermaid. Definitely don't recommend this place. she didn't even add anything to my forehead or skin so the color wouldn't stain it. the bleach was obviously left in too long that it burned my scalp and its turning into like a blister...such a shit hair dresser. BEWARE DO NOT COME TO THIS PLACE THEY ARE THE WORST.. I was lucky I got my money back the next day.. the owner said that Rachel was crying the next day, yeah right, if she felt bad, she should fixed it or even apologize at least...any way I got my money back and the owner gave me some tiny little sample of Malibu to lighten the hair, you would think she would have given me more than one tiny itty bitty sample lol read more

Went to get my brows, lip, & chin done yesterday for the first time in about 5 months! Obviously COVID-19 emerged since then and the salon closed like everyone else did. They have just reopened recently and the health and safety precautions these ladies have put in place are 5 !! Angela will meet you outside and take your temp , ask you the formal questions businesses are asking about health before coming inside, and has you sign a waiver ensuring if you do find out you test positive you will call the salon. Masks on, you walk straight to the back and wash your hands , 20 SECONDS LADIES! Then come back and hang tight a moment while she sanitizes her station with cleaning wipes and then a UV light!!! Im sorry to have to do this because the people who work here are nice but I can never come here again. This place is hit or miss, sometimes my eyebrows look good, other times they look awful. For this reason this was my back up place to get my brows done when my normal lady is too booked. Last time I went here was just awful. My eyebrows were plucked to death even though I have repeatedly said I dont like my eyebrows pencil thin. It is so horrible for me because I have spent over a year going to great brow waxers who have made my eyebrows perfect and now they are ruined. They were plucked so hard I had a cut and a bruise on my orbital bone. They are having trouble growing back properly and that has never happened before. I am scared my eyebrows will never be the same..this is actually really upsetting for me. I feel like I have to start all over. I only gave 2 stars because they turned out ok a couple of times. I went to this place because my regular lady was unavailable. The owner was very nice and gave me an appointment with very short notice. It was all downhill after that. The waxing was painless which I appreciated. I was done in 5 min! Which I thought was very fast. The lady said to me when she finished " oh you seen to have some thinning in your eyebrows". Well when I got home and looked at them she had taken off half my eyebrow over the right eye and thinned the eyebrow over my left eye to pencil thin. Luckily I know how to fill in my brows. The end result...brows that did not even match in length (who does that?)...mis-matched arch, and a hole in one of the brows from over-tweezing. My daughter noticed it in the car ride home.
