Many children in my daughters' 3 year old 1st year tap/ballet class complained they were yelled at often by the instructor. More than anything, though, the owners were so awful and rude to the parents during photo day and dance rehearsal for the recital it was truly one of the most unprofessional and chaotic displays of poor customer service I have ever witnessed and had the misfortune to personally experience. The students of Triple Essence Dance Studio are all very welcoming , seeing students from as young as 3 old build good social skills and support each other all the way to the teenagers who come in early and stay later to help newer students and lead by example by helping them overcome the challenges in training that they went through when first starting all point towards the amazing culture Triple Essence Dance Studio has created . Lastly I'd like to point out how great they are at age appropriate dances. The Nutcracker performance that the children dance in is such a special opportunity for them to experience dancing at a professional level with NY City Ballet performers and it's truly a magical show. I have done tai chi for most of my life and practiced recently with a wonderful group of Chinese people in the park. I want to say that the tai chi done in Body N Brain had advantages above that which was done in the park with authentic Chinese from Tai Wan and Hong Kong. It seems to accentuate the therapeutic aspects of tai chi and to get closer to the essence of tai chi which is of course chi energy. Some people have complained about tapping as being painful. That makes me smile. I wonder how old these people are. If you are twenty-five and in splendid health maybe you don't see the point. After all it's not "Swedish Massage." I found the tapping on the back wonderfully refreshing and relaxing. I was so excited about this simple form of therapeutic massage that I did it to my doctor and he enjoyed it too. I'm in my seventies and my doctor in his sixties. I suspect that a lot of the uneasiness about dahn yoga (which I share) may come from cross cultural lack of communication. People in Asia simply experience things differently than us Americans. I've struggled with this problem for a very long time and still have not found a comfortable resolution. I do find that the courses are too expensive and I have complained a lot about this. There is a very hard sell. They do try to lock you into a very long commitment and a big financial commitment. I have complained that the dahn master I worked with is like a car salesman and that I was subjected to "brain washing." On the other hand, they have given me help for my physical ailments I couldn't find anywhere else. So I have not come to any final determination about dahn yoga. There are a lot of other things in life and in society one can complain about, and singling out dahn yoga might be counterproductive. What about all the unhealthy and overpriced food that is given us in restaurants and stores. At the bodynbrain retreat I went to the food was amazingly good.

They were extremely welcoming and were very helpful identifying the right level for our daughter. We are now regular members and our daughter has made friends with the other students.
