The Now Youse Can't Leave IPA from the Bronx Brewery.
    Alden C.

I have tried the beer from The Bronx Brewery's other location but this was my first experience with this location. This time out Steve and I had the Now Youse Can't Leave which was an Imperial IPA. It was good, robust and lived up to it's IPA type nicely. Flavor features with this beer are juicy, sweet with a slight presence of honey. As I already mentioned it's strong and in body it is smooth. A good IPA and a fairly memorable one which I can't always say because they sometimes blur together after a while.

Great spot for a beer when u need one.... Quick service and usually a great vibe. Ambience is not lacking here for sure! Cheers. Performance space and room for parties don't be shy with the server's there. Bathrooms usually have a wait.... Besides that, good to go! PRO TIP: leave a review on YELP, show the bartender, get a free beer..... you're welcome. :)

I tried the Jolly Pumpkin Ale, Cigar City Brewing Imperial IPA, and the Southern Tier Harvest Autum IPA. the jolly was not bad for a pumpkin ale, the IPAs were great though, especially the Harvest Autumn IPA. Not just because it's from NY but had the perfect amount of hoppiness. every pint is just under 10 bucks, which is standard in this economy, so not bad. definitely easy to get a pint here, so service is great. Bathrooms were really clean too, prolly one of the best I've seen at a brewery

(beer garden review) I came on a hot afternoon, planning to scope out the space for a potential event. Unfortunately, I was not able to get someone to show me the space - busy-ness plus set-up for another event. The space is really unique. Being by a train track being many stories higher than the beer garden makes for some pauses in conversation. I love the greenery and art throughout the space, which makes it feel more enchanted. Everyone working here seemed a bit... panicked? Maybe it was just ensuing party they were taking care of. I eventually got my pour and found some shade. Only port-o-potties available outside, but I assume there are standard bathrooms inside. Parking was pretty easy at 3pm on a Friday. The traffic around the area, though, was maddening, so be prepared when you leave.

Can't believe it's my first time here, what a vibe and experience! I will definitely be back. Can't wait for the backyard to open, this shall be my new home Azul was the bartender while I was here and it was a great experience. We tried the Noche Buena and Black Truffle Shrimp Empanadas and OMG, SO good.

Great staff, quick bites and great beer choices for every season! Garlic parm fries were delicious we ordered them again! Pizza was delicious and food came out quick!!!

The boogie down Bronx has a fantastic brewery. I've never been a big beer fan, but decided to try a flight and it wasn't bad. The interior is small but nicely decorated. If you are hungry, they serve empanadas, fries, sandwiches, and pizza. I highly recommend the fried chicken sandwich with the truffle garlic Parmesan fries. 5 stars. Great ambiance, tasty food, friendly staff...

Bronx Brewery located in the Hunts Point section of the Bronx is a nice place for some casual eats. If you're familiar with the area, its pretty industrial but once you arrive they have a very nice backyard with a resident food truck called Empanology that makes miniature empanadas, sandwiches and just in the last year added a new pizza oven. I've been a few times and I will say that they have a nice space that different from many other establishments in the neighborhood. They pay homage to the Bronx culture which is pretty cool. There are so many details to see everywhere you look even down to the graphics on the plastic water cups. They have two other locations located in Manhattan (East Village and Hudson Yards) but I've only been to this original location in the Bronx. The pizza was pretty tasty, nicely charred with good flavor. If you're looking for a typical thin NY slice that we have in the neighborhood -- thats not what they serve. I would get the Pizza again though. The Chicken sandwich is made with a thigh which I didn't love since I really only enjoy white meat but my friend LOVED it. They obviously like dark meat and said it was very juicy. SO if you like dark meat, this is for you! I tried it and I did enjoy the bite but I couldn't get over it being dark meat (I guess I'm weird ) The empanadas are consistent in size and really stuffed. I enjoyed chopped cheese empanadas and the red velvet empanadas. They switch up the flavors and run empanada specials. I also love that they make sweet ones for people who crave sweets. I think they also had a brownie flavor. The boneless chicken chunks were indeed white meat and I enjoyed them but if I had to be picky, I found them to be alittle dry. Thats an easy fix with less cook but I just used up the sauce to eat them. It wasn't anything offensive to complain about. I like that they have so many different craft beers made on premise and it's just a different food experience to try out close to home! Any staff that I interacted with were very nice. Would recommend.

We sat in the outdoor area and met up with friends. There is a sign that says where to go to the patio if a cab drops you off in the front area. I brought my dog and son. They both enjoyed their time there. The outdoor area was spacious and a place to relax and catch up with friends. They have a bunch of their craft beers and offer beer flights. There are lots of IPA selections, and I was told that they try to excel in their pale ales. A limited selection of wine, hard seltzers, and cocktails are offered for those who don't want beer. Try their spicy watermelon margarita and their rose beer if they have it. They played a mix of music and hip hop, which my son loved. For food, I got the boneless wing which were bone dry even with the sauce. It was a shame since the sauce was good. The empanadas from Empanology were good. The best thing I had were the truffle garlic fries. Be aware that on weekends, they don't serve their whole menu. The facilities are 3 port-a-pottys in the back.

Stopped by this Brewery during our walk downtown didn't have anything to eat but people were ordering out bartenders were busy going up and down with food so for sure next time will have a taste. Other than that their PILSNER so fresh and refreshing loved this beer-will be back to taste their flights. Ambiance not sure if it was because we stopped by early but it was cool everyone doing their thing eating, drinking, conversing, music was nice. Overall nice hangout enjoy it.

Solid spot for beer and good vibes. I love supporting my local eateries and this one did not disappoint. Their backyard seating is pretty ample, we went early when they opened around 12:30pm and snagged a nice shady table. However, the place already started getting busy around 1:30pm on a Sunday. They play great music, the usual mainstream hip-hop which was awesome because I thought this would be one of those places that plays Spanish music all day. Our bartender was soooooo friendly. We're not avid beer drinkers so he gave us great recommendations -- try their hard seltzer if you like White Claws or Trulys! We all got pretty tipsy after a few. We also got their 4 for $11 empanadas. They were yummy but really tiny, probably the size of your palm. Their OG chopped cheese fries however, we're HUGE. We couldn't finish them. It was too much going on with the toppings and sauce. Nonetheless, if you want a nice place to just chill out with your friends this summer, this place is where to be. They have great murals all around and their security keeps everything in check. Do yourself a favor and come through cause I'm definitely coming back!!

She had suggested Marlowe as she had heard good things about it - I had never been (or heard) of this spot before so I thought it was the perfect opportunity to check out a new spot and catch up, so off we went. Marlowe is located off Mamaroneck Ave, in a semi-isolated area which is on-brand for a brewery. The space isn't too large - it's rectangular-shaped with a lot of light pouring in and a variety of seating available. They did the place up nicely - it definitely gives off brewery vibes with tasteful decor such as hanging string lights and plants. I am admittedly not a big beer drinker, so I opted to a cocktail. I had one of the mule selections which was very good. It almost goes without saying when we go out, but we also had some food. They have a good selection of bar-esque fare like sandwiches, burgers, apps, etc. I also noticed they had a selection of tacos so I went with those. We were able to mix and match so I went with a shrimp and a chicken. Both were good - generous with the fillings with accents that really complemented the flavor of the protein. The chips that came on the side were house made/kettle style and were good as well. We also ordered some eggplant chips to share - I wasn't a big fan of these. They were too thick and kinda greasy - I've had fried eggplant chips at other places which do them better. Service was great - the bartenders were really friendly and we got some great insight into the history of the place. Overall, I had a great time at Marlowe - it was wonderful catching up with a friend, and the overall experience memorable (even for a sporadic beer drinker like me). If I found myself back here I wouldn't be disappointed.

I either read about Marlowe's on Hoyt Ave in Mamaroneck in my Westchester Magazine while living in White Plains or it was somehow swirling on Yelp. In any case, the food caught my attention and mayyyybe their only 2 cocktail offerings. Plus it was wonderful coming to Westchester after living in the county for 22 years and meeting my friend Jason M. over laughs, life and of course, gossip. With two entrances leading up to their sit down area and large bar, we decided on hi-tops to somehow get a nice scope of Marlowe's- especially an eye-catching floral black and white wall on one side. The food menu is tempting and fierce and when the manager(?) repeatedly told us the cook makes tasty food- that was good sign. The Eggplant chips with a hot honey drizzle my friend and I shared were on thick side- but good. Somehow, I felt these would be on the thin side like the ones he introduced me to at Polpettina in Eastchester. My Portabella taco with corn, cauliflower+other veg was delicious. So was my shrimp taco with red cabbage, cilantro+other veg. Being that I'm not a fan of creamy sauces on some foods, I didn't even mind the crema on each of my tacos. Needless to say, both my tacos were filled to the brim with substance. My only qualm is that one tortilla was used and didn't hold much. Because of the single ply, I was in a bit of a mess- so a second tortilla would be perfect for added strength. Service was fantastic though. Since my friend and I aren't beer drinkers, there was no pressure to drink it.

SingleCut Beersmiths is a craft brewery that opened in Astoria, Queens, New York in December 2012…read more It was founded by Rich Buceta. The Queens native began homebrewing in his apartment in 2004 and eventually was hired to work at the now defunct Greenpoint Beer Works in Brooklyn. A huge music fan, Buceta decided to combine his passion for craft beer and music and open his own brewery. In order to finance his dream, Buceta sold off his collection of vintage guitars. When the brewery finally opened, it was the first production brewery to open in Queens since Prohibition. The name "Singlecut" was chosen in reference to the luthier term for a guitar that is crafted with a single cutaway, or a notch cut into the body of the instrument on one side to provide easier access to the upper frets. SingleCut quickly became a popular New York brewery and by 2017 it had reached capacity. In 2018, the brewery purchased the former Shmaltz Brewing Company facility in Clifton Park. Dubbed "SingleCut North", the secondary taproom fully opened to the public in September 2019. A third taproom, dubbed "SingleCut Barn & Lodge", fully opened in Manlius in April 2023. I visited SingleCut Beersmiths this past summer while I was cycling around NYC. I was trying out a number of Brooklyn and Queens breweries and pizzerias and this was my fifth stop of the day. The taproom in Astoria is spacious and inviting. I really liked the back room which was loaded with a nice selection of pinball machines. I pulled up a seat at the bar. There's a big stack of vinyl records on shelves and the staff were spinning a great selection of tunes during my visit. Throughout my visit, I enjoyed short pours of "18-Watt" (Session IPA), "Big In Japan" (DDH IPA), "Full Stack" (Double IPA), and "Heavy Boots of Lead" (Imperial Stout). Every single beer that I tried was fantastic! Great craft beer, vinyl and pinball?! I could have spent all day here! I thoroughly enjoyed my visit to SingleCut and I hope to be back!
