Service was ok. They were out of items on the menu. Place could use a good cleaning. We almost left but decided to stay because it had some good reviews. We thought maybe the food would be good. Food was ok. Generous Portions. Onion Rings were a hit. Nothing else really was. One had BBQ chicken , Philly steak and Cuban sandwich. They said that they would never be back. My pork chop was decent. The sides besides the onion rings were not. Collards were huge leaves and bitter. Baked potato was old and cold. The "spread" wouldn't melt. I won't be back. We were just passing through and stopped here for lunch. I had a hamburger and the fried cabbage for my side. The cabbage was amazing - a little too salty but really interesting. The restaurant could use a little sprucing up - but it was a nice find on our travels. read more

Went to Arcadia to exchange grandchildren with their parents and my husband and I went on a short date. You can tell this is a old restaurant very cool details inside, but could really use a facelift. The food was pretty good. Waitress was on top of it though they were out of several things. Probably won't go back but glad we gave it a try. read more

We had such a great dinner here! The service was exceptional--our server was friendly, quick, and efficient, and to top it off she even sings country really well, which made the whole experience extra fun. For food, we tried the meatloaf plate with fried green tomatoes, green beans, and potatoes. The meatloaf was packed with flavor, though a touch on the dry side. The green beans were smothered and full of flavor, and the fried green tomatoes were absolutely perfect--tangy, crispy, and delicious. My husband ordered the Papa Bowl special, which was basically like a Southern take on a Hawaiian loco moco. It came piled high with fried potatoes, lots of different meats, gravy, and cheese. The sausage gravy was especially good. The portion was huge--he could only finish half! All in all, a fantastic meal with wonderful service and hearty Southern comfort food. We were visiting Arcadia today and found this little place on its Soft Opening Day for friends & family but we were welcomed in to eat. I got the Grilled Chicken sandwich with a side of fried green tomatoes, which were tangy and tasty. Partner got the Roast Chicken dinner with green beans and fries. Chicken dinner was solid. Our Server said the recipes were Grandma's. They have a breakfast menu until 11:00 am. The service was very friendly. We watched as a steady stream of friends and family came in to eat, it was a warm atmosphere. Prices are reasonable. We wish this restaurant great success. read more

We ate here a couple of weeks ago. Wait staff was very nice. place is really a little better than ok and a little less than good. My wife had the burger which was good. I had the bbq chicken, which was a baked chicken quarter with bbq sauce added. the chicken was good but truly not bbq chicken. read more

Jennifer was very nice pleasant person she was the waitress / cashier very clean person the appearance of the place is like the name of the business rustic with some modern furnishings The food I got a cheese steak sandwich the bread was so soggy on the bottom I had to pick it all off and the steak was so salty I couldn't eat it at all The fried green tomatoes which were not even battered they were over done black and I took a small bite and the grease just made me spit it out I ended up spending almost 20.00 on these two things that all got dumped in the trash I will not return to this place nor recommend to family or friends Jennifer is the only reason they got two stars read more

Awesome Awesome the Best and Tasty Style Country Cooking. the Specialty was Philly Cheese Steak with plenty of Steak Meat, Cheese, Onions and more. Sooo very good ! Then we found out they served Green Fried Tomatoes (my favorite dish !) my Heart starting Fluttering for them. So very good too. The Diner Menu has many different food items to choose from. Thought I'd try this new restaurant today and was a huge mistake. I arrived on my lunch half hour which is 30 minutes. I noticed that the waitresses or waitress was outside sitting on her phone when I walked in I was told to take a seat anywhere she brought a menu and I ordered water and ask her about her Good sandwiches. The menu stated soup and sandwiches. She said there was no soup so I told her I was on lunch and I just ordered something simple a BLT and an order of fries 25 minutes later I'm still sitting there waiting for my sandwich. There are four people in the restaurant besides myself so it's not a lunch rush. I walked up to the counter and I asked the chef I said is my order ready I have to get back to work. He didn't even know what I was talking about then the waitress so were you just placed the order? I said no I placed order 25 minutes ago. I don't need it now. I have to go back to work so some other people were walking in when this occurred and she actually screamed at me this is not a fast food restaurant get out and don't come back so trust me I will never come back !!!! Stopped in for lunch as we passed through town on a road trip. It was a great little hole in the wall- not too fancy but good food, nice prices, & a delightful server. We enjoyed our experience very much. My husband actually commented that it was the best breakfast burrito he has ever had and he has the experience to be an expert judge. What an adorable country setting we found at the Broken Spur Diner today. The service was excellent! We tried a Rodeo burger and loaded fries. It was delicious. We also had the baked chicken, mac and cheese and collard greens. I'm a mac and cheese snob so no comment, but the collards were lovely! The chicken, mac n cheese and collards were cold but still very good. We will definitely return again! read more

Waited an hour for our food with two tables (that includes us in the whole restaurant) No apologies or updates for when our food was coming out. Some of the food was cold but at this point we were so hungry we were not going to ask for anything to be remade or even say anything. It was very clear a manger wasn't present because the cooks did not have it together at all. It's a cute restaurant but unfortunately that's not what makes a good experience. We both had ordered steak dinner as a Friday night and she says oh we only have one steak left so I ordered the baked chicken and it was very dry for dark meat The steak I thought was very good The salad taste like it was old bag salad wasn't very impressed with the place their menu wasn't very great either I wouldn't even bother going for breakfast because I read that menu and I'm not interested in anything on it only thing I could say is I hope you make it at least I gave you three stars read more
