Fresh, juicy, flavorful burger and the onion bhaji truly was the cherry on top. Fairly quick service and pleasant experience from the stall at Camden Market. Will definitely be trying more of Baba G's menu next time we're back in London!

AH Baba G's, you are a street food dream. Indian-inspired food made into American-styled meals…read more They serve up burgers, sandwiches, fries, chicken nuggets and more but with Baba G's unique flare. Today I opted for the Tikka chicken nuggets (£5) and the Masala fries (£3). The food is made quickly and fried fresh in front of you. The chicken is rolled in a tangy tamarind and plum sauce, it is, in a word: delicious! They are large, tender pieces of meat, slightly crisp and full of moisture. Now to the fries, oh the fries! This has to be their signature dish. Again they are fried and mixed with spice. They are then topped with mint-cumin riatha and mango pulp. I am an absolute sucker for mango chutney and anything that goes with it so for me these fries were a dream - crispy, fresh indian infused goodness! I wouldn't recommend if looking for a healthy snack but if you're looking to indulge in something high fact and fully tasty this is your stop in Pop Brixton! The only reason I have docked them a star is due to the server. Sadly he was rather rude and grumpy - it costs nothing to serve with a smile and a bit of enthusiasm but I received nothing, not even with my Friday glee. A shame but the food is fantastic so food stars well deserved!

I'd noted that there was a Wahaca on the way there, and so was pleased they were involved as well. So naturally, being a total Wahaca addict, I went there. You can tell it's a former pub, as there's a lovely long bar on the left and the seating layout is great - I often find that Wahacas either have no lighting or there's some really funky and uncomfortable chairs - none of that here I can gladly report! I was seated quickly, and the service was spot on. It's a shame I've forgotten the waiter's name as I would have praised him publicly here - he was polite and friendly, but not bothersome (and remained polite while I was talking with my mouth full at one point!!). I got the gauc and chips, which I don't normally have but the gauc was terrific and the chips were really good too - much better than I expected. I then had both the pork pibil and the chicken tinga tacos. I desperately wanted the sweet potatoes - they're like the best thing on the menu, but I couldn't decide between the tacos and I thought I had one plate too many for just little (ha!) old (true) me. So in the end it became a fight between the pibil and the tinga to decide who is the king of the Wahaca tacos. Pibil went in as the favourite - mostly because they're like my favourite Mexican food from anywhere ever. Round one went to the pibil, when piping hot, they're like the best thing ever. Luckily I caught the juices with a tissue before they hit the sleeve of my white shirt. Round two went to the tinga; as the tacos cooled, the chicken held it's flavour better than the pork. The final round was a bit of a draw as when cooled, both the chicken and the pork were both great. In a push, I'd give it to the pork on points, but the chicken was so good that it pushed it right to the wire. I'm just going to have to come back for the rematch.

I love this little find, and it certainly wasn't a secret to any theatre or art lover in the South Bank area. The added bonus is that there is a lot of space around the lobby and by the bar to sit down and catch up with a friend, or better yet, do some creative writing and discover your inner artsy self. The menu is simple: Americano, Latte, Mocha Hot chocolate... Hot chocolate with Bailey's! You know, the basic stuff you'd find on a Starbucks menu. If you don't see anything you like, there's an actual bar right next to it. The seating is a public space and you're free to move around. But that being said, the public space element is also the downside of this location. Anybody from a sea of audience standing around for intermission, to seedy people can loom around your table. Still though, I would definitely go again.

I think Caffe Concerto is one of the better places in this part of the shopping centre, it's centred inbetween quite high end places like Cote brasserie, Loch Fyne, Carluccios, zizzi's and uh. waterstones. i think there is a Byron coming soon too (I.WILL.BE.ON.THAT) Anyways, Highly recommend lunchtime, two course meal for £9.95, or three courses for £11.90. No supplementary charges on meals too. My Chinese mother totally raves about this place, Why? They serve lamb shank which fell off the bone as soon as you touched it, amazing dish. I ordered the Duck Confit which was okay at best, the duck was really salty but there didn't seem to be a depth of flavour. Both dishes came with a mountain of mash, when i say mountain, think himalayas. (I even made it look like himalayas!) I'm not too keen on mash so I left most of mine. I actually think their sandwiches are much better made. The teas and coffees are also stellar. (Once upon a time, before I was caffeine free, i drank their iced caffes, the ones here are a bit lousy compared to westfields ones, think they put too much milk and I wanted more coffee so they put an extra shot of coffee in it for no charge because they're nice people!) It's actually the perfect place for mothers day afternoon tea, apart from the fact it's in a draughty place so mothers may complain about being cold. You know how they are!

You have to understand one thing: when it comes to breakfast, Finchley Road is the equivalent of a 12 hour drive across the Nevada Desert. So when this placed opened, I honestly thought it would deliver on the promise of decent coffee and suitable Saturday morning food. And for a while, it did! The staff was amazingly friendly, welcoming, warm. They would make recommendations on the food, sell artisan bread and make you want to come back. But then, something change; the staff was no longer the same. Subsequent visits proved that the staff was changing almost as fast as the double-dealers driving up the main road. This morning, we finally hit rock bottom. You l know when the person attending you treats you like she's doing you a favour? Looks upset and bothered the whole time, gets your order wrong and THEN argues with you that you ordered something else? This place is now cluttered, chaotic and the opposite of what it once was. Tables wobble with the remains of the previous customer still on them. Eat-in food is served in boxes. They don't even offer to heat up what's available and every time I come here there seems to be less focus on customer service and more focus on profit. Good luck, Remon. We had a dream. It was nice while it lasted.
