The most appalling service, we waited 45 minutes to be served and when we complained the manager was abusive and told us not to come back!!!

This White Horse Inn is located a few miles from central Cambridge in Barton. It is also an iconic Cambridge landmark. As a former student at Cambridge, we would make the trek to White Horse Inn for warm greetings and delicious food regularly. While it's undergone renovations since I was settled there, it maintains the traditional vibes of a British inn with its original charm & old tavern details. At this Inn, you can book a stay, or just drop in for a bite. The owners are still welcoming and ready to serve up a pint. What may surprise visitors expecting traditional pub food is the traditional Thai cuisine that makes up the menu. But stay with me even if you were expecting to read about traditional pub goodness because the menu and food was delicious! It hit the spot after a few hours drive through the English countryside. It was also filled with locals enjoying an early dinner by the fireside. It's common knowledge when in London, Cambridge, or surrounding areas, you find the closest Indian restaurant and enjoy the next 2-3 hours of food bliss. I can say the same for Thai cuisine at The White Horse Inn. We ordered the drunken noodles and some amazing, authentic curries (and of course, a pint of Guinness). It was a lot of food, served up in British portions that can rival what we're accustomed to in America. We took leftovers to our VRBO and they kept us satiated for days. If you find yourself meandering across the British countryside and start feeling peckish, this is an excellent stop on your way in or out of Cambridge (an absolute must visit if you're visiting the UK) Just go. Eat amazing food. You won't regret this adventure.

We went in, it was a rainy day so we sat inside, a corner table on the sofa, ordered our drinks and food (opted for Samosas & Spring Rolls for Starters, then a bowl of chips and Prawn Salad for Bettina, and Cheesey Chips and Goats Cheese Salad for me), we sat down, starters came out shortly after, we ate our starters, finished our drinks, waitress / barmaid was really lovely, cleared our plates, got us fresh drinks and then brough out our food. Frustrating and very disappointed on our day trip to No Hurry in…read more Arrived there at 13:00 with our person supported 2x wheelchair user . Serving food only at the garden which is great because its sunny. Found a bench we can seat on. GOT IGNORED multiple times and no signs for what to do when you want order. After 20 mins seating and looking like a thwat we manage to ask where can we order. She told us that they are not taking orders for the next 30 mins, then proceed to walk away no explanation after that. Sooooo rude!!!! Eventually we catch the attention of one of the young waitress, ordered drinks and she kindly explained why can't we order food. She said to wait for 15 mins then hand us the menu upon my colleague request. After waiting for 1hr and 30mins and finishing our drinks we decided to just leave. Felt ignore, discriminate at and very hungry. Within the times we were waiting new costumers coming in and staff are accomodating them, asking for their orders and bring out FOOD. We visit and eat here a lot before the pandemic start because of the scenery, food and staff accomodating dietary needs. This might be the very last day that i will take our person supported.

The pub is really cosy, the staff welcoming and friendly (very important) and the food was excellent - will definitely be stumbling upon this delightfully hidden establishment again!
