My fiancé and I were planning our destination wedding in Miami from our home in California and had no idea of where to look for vendors. Fortunately, my wedding photographer, who is based in Miami and has worked alongside BC in other weddings, highly recommended this company to me. After looking at their portfolio, I was obsessed. You can clearly see that they love what they do and are phenomenal at it. I immediately knew I wanted to work with such a joyful, talented and loving couple. We shared our vision board with them, with the help of our planner, and we were able to find the perfect arrangements within the price point we were aiming for. I was blown away by the set up they produced. Every detail down to the fresh floral hair piece for me to wear above my veil. Highly recommend wearing one to all brides. My fiance and I had an April 4th wedding date and though pleasant, Chris Plaza and Jeremy Mason proved to be the worst and most inflexible vendor we could have imagined. Here's our nightmare of an experience - Withheld Deposit; We had to cancel our wedding date due to stay-at-home orders in the state of Florida (April 2nd), and though we could not legally gather or them actually work to service the wedding by law, they have kept our deposit of over $3000. We notified of a rescheduled date, but did not sign given the circumstances. - Deceptive Claims; We asked to compensate for their time and efforts (includes discussing the wedding vision, a visit to the site, we shipped some trinkets for safekeeping). They refuse to provide a $ figure for these efforts, and have actually said that the following services exceed a 40% deposit for outrageous line items (design & mood board, multiple date reschedules, CALLS (?), package receiving, monthly storage, and disposal). None of this is quoted on any invoices or ever discussed for cost. They also have changed our contract to reference a postponement date which we had not signed. Chris and Jeremy have taken advantage of a deposit in partnership to support a small business. They will not discuss on calls (probably in prepration for a legal standoff). I'm sad and disappointed that they took such a nasty route, and though I understand the difficulty caused from COVID, it is not our job to pad their business during a hard time. They are to date the only vendor that has withheld funds unfairly. I would not recommend Chris if you are seeking flexibility and partnership a wedding can require. They are far too early in infancy to understand partnership or a scorned customer. If you still see this post, that means they still have not budged without legal discourse.
