One simple but thoughtful gesture was a staff member positioned at the front door who always opened it for you. The rooms have balconies, and I would suggest a higher floor room because you'll have sweeping views of the Tennessee River. The hotel decor definitely pays homage to the music scene that has been long associated with Muscle Shoals area. As we entered our room we were amused by the ceiling light that was a "recording studio in use" sign. On the walls were gold records and other music memorabilia from the area. There are two restaurants/bars on sight. Swampers has live music and typical bar food. We had appetizers there one evening and really enjoyed them. The drink prices were very reasonable. The second restaurant is the 360 Grille. It is atop a revolving tower. The 360 grille is an upscale steakhouse. We did make reservations and eat there also. That was a great decision. On the property is a large swimming complex, complete with a water slide and waterfall. There are numerous pool lounges available as well as a few private cabanas. There was poolside drink and food service on the weekend. The property is near a Robert Trent Jones golf course and I noticed a significant amount of golfers staying at the hotel. A large hallway gallery is located on the main floor. When we stayed it had a huge collection of all things Rolling Stones. Trivia fact- The stones recorded 3 songs in Muscle shoals. All in all it's a great property if you plan to stay a couple or more days- so you can take advantage of all the hotel has to offer. It's not a budget conscious hotel but definitely worth it for the amenities.

Adorable music decor throughout. Turn on the overhead light as you enter your room and it's a "recording - studio in use" sign. Lots of appropriate decor featuring music and the Shoals location, even the nightstand drawer pulls are volume knobs (that go up to 11!) Room can be kept dark and cold, there's a small fridge, and a good bathroom with walk in shower. I thought the bed comfortable, but it hurt the wife's back, so you'll have to decide on that one. We'll definitely be back. It's an easy weekend trip from the Nashville area, and a lot of the drive can be done on the Natchez Trace Parkway, which is a very pleasant and relaxing drive. We didn't take advantage of the pool, but it looks very nicely done. Book yourself a dinner at the 360 grille while you're there. They go a good job, and it's a fun splurge - not a lot of revolving restaurants on towers in that neck of the woods.

The hosts provided us with a comfortable, enjoyable and informational expeirence that we will always treasure. Not only was our time memorable but our sleep was fantastic which I find rare when traveling to new climates. I will certainly return with my family and have already told my father to make this a destination next time he is in the area. Thank you again Johnathan and Polina. My son told everybody about how yummy your breakfast was. See you next time.

It was a joy to see the paintings and civil war artifacts up close and have the opportunity to discuss the collection with Polina. After the tour, we settled into the Jenny Lind suite with the jacuzzi tub. It was great to soak in the tub and relax after a busy day and enjoy the complimentary wine and refreshments. Our room was so beautiful, quiet and comfortable. We woke up to a beautifully presented breakfast that was healthy and bursting with flavor. Our favorites were the sorbet and fruit, crostini and the lovey and delightful cheesecake. The small plates of deliciousness are sure to please any foodie. We highly recommend staying at the Shiloh Chennault Estate when you are visiting the area. Polina and Jonathan are great hosts who have a tremendous wealth of knowledge of fine art and military history. Shiloh Chennault Estate is very special treat that you don't want to miss.
