This was a one night stay for us as we headed south. We arrived around 430pm and reception was easy and friendly. The room was very clean and updated. I like that they finally use luxury vinyl opposed to carpet for a dog friendly hotel. The room was clean. Good lighting. A comfortable bed and pillows. TV worked. It sufficed. They have a breakfast that is included. Not great but you can certainly get a start to the day with what they have. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. read more

Friendly, Clean, and Relaxing! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The staff went above and beyond to help us get checked in by letting us know our room was ready ahead of time. The breakfast options were yummy and hot and the area was clean. The room was comfortable and clean. Way to go LaQuinta Cullman! read more

Last minute decision to stay at LaQuinta after being turned away at a different location - we had a clean comfortable room and enjoyed our stay. We were traveling with a 25ft RV and trailer with motorcycles - and there were wonderful large parking spaces in front of resort - made us feel a bit more confident that our vehicles were safe. read more

Avg cosmetically redone hotel. It was clean, spacious, and the staff were very friendly. Bed was comfy and breakfast was yummy. Love the online check in and check out process. Close to lots to eat! Pet fee is super reasonable at $25. I would stay again! read more

Strong "4/5"! Friendly staff and easy check in. Quiet, comfy, and clean. Only thing that I would downgrade is the hot water...seems that they have the maximum hot water you can get at a low temp, so a nice hot shower or bath can't happen. It ends up being just warm. Also, there's a limit on the tv volume which was too low. Guess I don't want to hear the neighbors' show, but I didn't like the limits that were mandatory, between the hot water and the tv. Otherwise, terrific stay! read more

We had a nice stay. The room's were well decorated and comfortable. Breakfast was good and fresh, they had many vegetarian options for my daughter. The staff were friendly. read more

do not stay at this hotel. I stayed two nights with them and they charged me $445 in two separate debits from my checking account and they will not reverse any of the charges. I don't know about you but I don't usually pay that much money to stay in a La Quinta in Alabama. I looked up the reservations today and it's $119 a night so be careful because they're in trouble. They've been hotels that have been built around them in the last few years and they're feeling the competition and their losses out of YOUR POCKET!!!! read more

Clean and comfortable room! All staff welcoming and pleasant! Had king sized bed and room very clean Saved $50 staying here instead of another hotel nearby! Breakfast was hot and delicious. Had sausage, eggs and potatoes. My husband had that and sausage biscuits and gravy. Save your money and stay here! read more

This La Quinta is approx. 2 years old and checks all the boxes! Clean, new feeling rooms, super cozy beds, hit breakfast, microwave in room, medium fridge in room, clean nice pool area, (although smallish) and super accommodating staff! I arrived about 15 minutes before my best friend. She was working at rock the south. We wanted to maximize our time and get to heritage Park. I called BF and put her on speaker with the check in lady (Peggy? DARN I wish I remember her name) who was incredibly sweet. I had my RTS press credentials which may have helped but despite not having BFs full credit card information Peggy was sweet enough to give me two room keys and let me unload and get settled which really helped us get to the event efficiently and Peggy did it with a smile and the sweetest disposition! BF remarked that she loved the room and hopes to book it for next year's RTS. Only slightly dings (and one is just me really) is the walls.are a little thin but not awful! Reminded me of being in an apartment when the floor above started kicking and stirring, again not a real problem. Yes it's the in room coffee pots that annoy the heck out of me. Those where you slide the plastic tray in with the tea bag like coffee in it? Grrrrr! Happily I was prepared with espresso roast Starbucks in my Mr. Coffee 5 cupper! Some mornings it's just hard to be pulled together in time for a group breakfast and this does the trick! Thanks to Peggy for being so accommodating. And before leaving I heard her say "have a blessed day" to a guy who's family was enjoying the pool. It doesn't get any more Southern than that! Thanks La Quinta! read more

We chose La Quinta because it's relatively new and had the best reviews for hotels in the area. It did not disappoint as it is family-friendly, relatively quiet, and clean. This hotel has an outdoor pool, but we were disappointed to find out it was closed for maintenance during our stay. A nice swim would have been refreshing after a long day of driving. The beds were extremely comfortable and we had a great night's sleep. The walls were a bit thin, however, so around 10 p.m. we turned the air on constant so as not to hear the voices from the room next door. The free breakfast buffet was satisfying. The selection included eggs, sausage, potatoes, waffles, cereal, biscuits and gravy, yogurt, coffee, orange juice, fresh fruit, and a coffee bar with regular and decaf. The kitchen ladies were very diligent about cleaning up the area and making sure everyone had everything they needed. The front desk employees were all friendly and helpful. read more

Not a 5 star hotel but a very very nice 4 star hotel we stayed one night and we slept great the only down side is there is no outdoor entrance like motels. It was very clean read more

We spend a lot of time traveling across the country with dogs and finding nice hotels that are good to our dogs makes us happy. Walking was easy and there was a designated pet space with poop bags. Parking was easy and there seemed to be enough room for most vehicles, we drive a full size GMC Yukon and it was easy to get into the spaces. Rooms were comfortable enough and we were right by the door to go outside so that was easy. Breakfast had good options and coffee was tasty too. I would stay here again if we were in the area. read more

We had a great experience at this hotel! We were traveling through and read reviews and chose this based on other reviews. The hotel was clean, towels smelled good and the water was hot! The beds also were very comfortable. I am disappointed that they were having a technical problem when we checked in and we weren't able to have internet or cable while we were there. That made things difficult. The breakfast was good in the morning. Check in/out was easy. I also wasn't happy there wasn't a freezer available in our room. The staff was pretty awesome, too. read more

My children and I stayed on the 2nd floor in room 206 very nice room, clean and smelled nice. The house keeper was a dear . Nancy was her name. She and my mother share the same name. Only thing that will keep me from booking there in the future is the 2nd housekeeper. She had the loudest and filthiest mouth . This girl had tattoos covering the tops of her hands and her mouth was horrible. She smelled like she did not use antiperspirant. Awful. My children heard her say the f word numerous times as well as taking the Lords name in vain. Sorry to say we wont book that hotel again. She and the boy who was assisting her appeared inebriated. Such a shame. Maybe management should be made aware of it. Anyway we are traveling to that area again for Christmas and we already have rooms booked at another hotel. This time my mom and dad are coming with us. Cant wait. And after I will give a review of the hotel we chose. God bless you. read more

I was blown away with the level of customer service I experienced. Check in was quick and so friendly! On top of that, they didn't have a pet deposit or pet policy. The whole inside is modern and very well done. Breakfast was fun and easy! I really don't have any complains and the La Quinta in Cullman really exceeded my expectations! read more

My husbands work picked this place for us. Check in: We are here for business so it might be different for us. My husband had a hard time checking us in due to them not being able to find our reservation. They also got a new computer system as well. So that might make it difficult as well. The staff were all super friendly about it and apologised for it. It really wasn't that big of deal. Check out: simple. Though we had to wait for someone to get to the desk (right before breakfast was being served) Hotel does have free wifi with password. Closed for the season (arrived march 31st) outdoor pool looked incredibly small. Breakfast is 6-9 (on weekdays) which is early and short. But it works out for my stay. It had a small selection for the most part it was good basic breakfast needs. If something was out you could get staff fast to refill it. They were friendly bout it as well. I will mention that my long stay the breakfast sometimes smelled burnt and the potato squares were crunchy and over done one morning I didnt actually finish eating it made my stomach upset.. Coffee was always hot, and they had tea and coco as other hot beverages.. A couple juice flavors, milk and lemon water. Side note. The waffles you make dont fit on the plates they have lol Fitness room is small with about 3-5 machines for working out.. Random fact. You can see the sunset and sunrise from the windows in the hallways and slightly in your room as well. Its a plus its not in my room so I dont see it peep in the curtains. But its really nice to be able to wake up early and see it outside if I happen to want to walk down the hallways.. Cleaning staff came and knocked around 10-11am asking what I needed and were very friendly and stocked me with extras of everything I wanted. They also have a chute near the elevators that I used daily to toss my old towels. If you are like me and HATE having them just laying around or hanging around this was a big bonus. Staying long and waiting for cleaning staff isn't always ideal so I loved it. In my room: One of those locks where you put the keycard infront of the door and the light turns green and gives you 4 seconds to get inside. Everything looked very white and clean. The photos on the wall were really cute with a nature aesthetic. Part of the drywall was cracked where the chair in my room sat. Another funny side note that bothered my ocd husband and son the lights in the lamp on the bed side were two different shades. A warm tone on one side and a cool blue tone on the other. Not a problem for me. But if you are like them. It can be a bother. They stocked me with a few makeup remover sheets i thought that was an amazing little plus cause I am a girl who wears a LOT of makeup. The tub no slip mat is breaking and kinda feels like sand grains under your feet. It chips away if you shower too long or take a bath. Water did stayed hot/warm for all 3 of us to shower And water pressure was never a problem. The toilet flush is very noisy and prolonged.. The safty lock was not a typical chain or bar lock. It was a metal piece you just moved infront of your door. It worked but I've never seen something like that before so I thought I would say something. Its just interesting is all. Everything was shut off in my hotel room to where I had to figure out how to turn them on and even plug in the mini fridge. All in all. I liked my stay. Everything was simple. Nice and cozy. Staff was friendly and the place was clean and affordable. read more

We stayed here two different nights as we passed through going from stlouis to Florida. Both times the checkout process was a mess. We had three rooms both times. The first night as we went to check out one of the rooms was already payed in advance from credit card rewards. We had to dispute the charge as they would not admit that they made the mistake and would not resolve the issue at the front desk. Our second night as we passed back through when we went to check out they confirmed our credit card info and which of the three rooms was to go on what credit card. Then just put all the rooms on one of them. While trying to resolve the issue at the desk the woman who was "helping" us told my sister to shush when she was trying to explain the issue to her. The other issue I had with this hotel was it is not secure. The doors from the outside that you were supposed to need a keycard to get into were open all the time. It's not like the latch was malfunctioning. They had physically removed the striker plates. Anyone could just walk into this place unnoticed and do whatever they wanted. They also seemed to know they were like that because they said they were having "problems with them". Other than that the hotel rooms were clean and the breakfast was pretty good. The rest of the staff seemed nice and helpful. Just watch out for the lady at the desk and the management. read more

Very good customer service - from the front desk to the housekeepers. If they saw you, they acknowledged you with a smile and said hello. The rooms were very clean. The beds and pillows were very comfortable as well. The free breakfast was just okay and the pool was very small which reduced my rating a bit. But I also stayed at the holiday inn express during this trip since the hotel was not available for the other days I needed, and I can honestly say that Laquinta was the better hotel out of the two. We would certainly stay here again. read more

I am dissatisfied with my experience as I expected a lot better customer service out of a "4 star hotel". I needed two nights at this hotel location as I was away for work. During my stay here I had a bad experience due to the people in the next room over to me being loud and their kids screaming and being loud until midnight for the duration of my stay. These children were not only loud in the next room over but running up and down the hall screaming until midnight each night disturbing the other guests as well. I attempted to call the front desk to resolve the issue a couple of times and nothing was done on the matter and after much frustration the gm called me about an hr later when I was finally trying to attempt to fall asleep waking me up aggressively asking me what was going on. After I explained everything she accused me of banging on the wall of the neighboring room next to me of which I never did. It did not end there with the accusations of continuously telling me I was banging on the wall of which I did not do. I expressed that I have autism a couple of times to the GM of which my disability was invalidated by her on both occasions to the point I was trying to be diplomatic and explain that with autism my sensory overload can be a lot and overwhelming with sounds. The GM kept coming up with excuses for the next family over about how they are just children etc etc etc almost to the extent of siding with the false accusations of the family stating that I was banging on the wall. I don't think the GM understands the magnitude of what she did nor understands autism as this is now a bigger issue than it would have been if she had listened and validated my disability. If you have any type of disability I would encourage you not stay at this hotel as your accommodations will not be met as well as having your accommodations invalidated. When someone comes to you with needing help it is never a good idea to continuously accuse them of false allegations to the matter of which they are explaining their needs. read more

This is the cleanest Hotel in Cullman. The staff is so friendly and greet you with a smile. I wouldn't stay anywhere else!

The main manager of this place is very very rude. Not only is he rude to his own customers and employees, but he's even rude to the employees at the Walmart across the street. He's just an awful man in general, and the employees here deserve better, just as the customers do. I'm not writing this because I worked here (I did not), I'm writing it because it needed to be said. He needs an attitude check. Majorly. read more

Had a wonderful one night stay. Both the receptionists were awesome and accommodating. Had asked for a late checkout and they let us checkout at 1:00 for free, but my mother needed an extra couple of minutes to shower and they were okay with that as well. Breakfast was pretty good. The scrambled egg and cheese and potatoes were a good morning pick me up. Pricing was also cheaper than the holiday inn right next door so that was great. This place was also built in 2016 so the place even smells new. Honestly a really good stay. Walmart is also right across the street. A two minute drive. Overall, if you're looking for a place to crash for the night, this is probably your best bet amongst the other places here. read more

I was on my way to Ohio and happened to stop at this small town. I wasn't sure if I could find a decent place that would accept my cat. It's hard to find places that accepts animals and isn't a dirt hole. I walked into the lobby and so far so good. They had a room and my pet was fine with them. I then went to my room, opened the door and I was so pleased! It was clean and lots of room. No more carpet everywhere, there was plank/ tile type flooring. So animal owners don't have to stress. The staff were also amazing, friendly and helpful. I wish I could replicate this hotel everywhere I go. Not only was I happy here but my room didn't cost a fortune. I've been meaning to write this review for a year now. I'm hoping it hasn't changed because it was next to a perfect stay. read more

From the moment we walked in the door, we felt welcome. This place is clean, the accommodations are great, beds are comfy, and the staff is amazing!! Heather at the front desk was so helpful, friendly, and sweet. And the ladies serving breakfast were just as wonderful! They've made it possible to still serve a hot breakfast through Covid regulations by allowing guests to come up and order what they would like on their plate. So impressed with this place. If you're traveling through and trying to decide which hotel to stay at, let me save you some time. This is the one! The employees here are top notch! read more

I found La Quinta in Cullman through TripAdvisor and read the reviews. It did not Disappoint! Everyone I had contact with was helpful and pleasant. My room was immaculate. And the complimentary breakfast was all I could have wanted with biscuits, pancakes, bacon, sausage as well as a variety of muffins, bagels, etc. Since I was staying a couple of days in Cullman, I only wish the breakfast had been served longer than 9 am. But understand most guests leave early. Again, a truly wonderful experience and will stay there again when I come back to Cullman! read more

My wife and I were in town for one night. We had a wedding to go to in the afternoon but our flight landed at 7am. We called and spoke with Peggy. We asked for an early check in and explained the situation not expecting at all to be able to get the room before 3pm. Within a half hour Peggy called us back to not only tell us our room was ready but that she also upgraded us to a suite. Peggy was amazing and extremely accommodating. She went out of her way and showed true customer service and was so kind to my daughter. If we are ever back in town we will definitely book with this hotel again. read more

Great staff. Wonderful mural behind front desk. Hotel is new and is very clean. Breakfast was okay...the whole milk was sour, but she gave us a fresh bottle. Bed was comfy. Much needed brand new hotel in Cullman, AL. Felicia was great from the moment she answered the phone. The modern look is great. The showers are wonderful without the typical tubs. We stayed for 7 days and the experience was wonderful. The breakfast is good, they actually did an expanded breakfast on Thanksgiving that was really good. If you're coming through the area and looking for a great place to stay, this is it! We have stayed at the "other" hotels in town and always left feeling not so great about the experience. Kudos to Peggy, Felicia, and Mr.Patel for your outstanding dedication which made our stay second to none. Keep up the great work and we will be back soon! read more
