We got floats with netted bottoms to keep them from trying to take a ride with us. Fishing was far more enjoyable. We caught catfish, alligator gar, sheepshead, little bass, and more. The lady that runs the place is VERY hateful, they told us about the military discount being 10% off and then changed it to 8% without telling us, nothing is handicapped accessible, the ONLY bath house is next to the office/fun room that when they play karaoke they play XXX rated songs about sex and eating pu@@y, the restrooms were never cleaned and we were there for 4 days, our neighbor had his grey water drainage running down the hill INTO the river, quiet time was supposed to be from 10:00 pm to 7:00 am but every single night there were fireworks until midnight AT the campsites ( even though managers were contacted), the tent campers only had a port-o-John to use without any hand washing station, they kept saying that the shuttle ran on tips only but the drivers REQUIRED you to tip EACH time they shuttles you back to camp, and you have to sign a waiver that says no alcohol on the property but I couldn't count how many drunks were hooping and hollering every single night! My daughter also made a post about them and BIG WILLs CREEK CAMPGROUND deleted it and reported her to Facebook.

I went over to another bathhouse in another loop and was given a courtesy ticket of the way I park. I was parked in a parking space. Then they complained I could not park in another loop as over flow. It was explained that was not the case. The lack of communication between the staff and campers is terrible. Another thing that the staffs does is drive around our loop almost every 15 to 20 minutes. They patrolled our area so often that when we drove to another loop to use the restroom, that restrooms didn't have any toilet paper for that whole day. This was a lovely camp site, however, we will not be back due to the staff.

They so NOT have a playground so If you have little kids, bring your entertainment and toys with you for them. The water spots do get crowded and loud so if you want quiet get higher up on bear or fawn. They do have hiking trails but lots of spiders and I got eaten alive with mosquitos despite using "off" so make sure you are prepared!

It is very cool for sure. Also, the last thing we did was hop on that little train( which I didn't care to do at all without little kids with me) yet it was a shocker how that man driving the train who shares about all things throughout the event that you get to see again from a different view on that train...he was super awesome. I actually would have ridden that train and listened to that man over and over and over again. He was fun to hear from. It is not super expensive so do not resist to do it. Gather up your group or just you and your spouse or for take your kids if they are still young. This is for sure a fun enjoyable thing to go see.

A mile off I-65 exit 291. Easy in, easy out. Gas and diesel located at the exit. Gal who greeted us was very pleasant. Directed us to a pull through site with water, 30/50 amp, and sewer. Great spot for an overnight! Peeked into the laundry room which had several washers and dryers. Ladies restroom looked like it has been updated with nicely tiled showers and new curtains. My husband said the men's needed updating. I gave it three stars because I feel it's still a bit of a diamond in the rough. However, I can see work is being put into the campground and facilities. For an overnight, it was perfect!
