My 1999 7.3 F250 affectionately named the old Ferd !

I called today looking for some parts for my 1999 F250 . I knew they would laugh at me as other ford dealerships had . I was pleasantly surprised I got a hold of Chris Cobb ! He was more than happy to help me along the way with my project. Instead of trying to sell me a brand new truck . Nice to see people at a dealership that care about people instead of there bottom line ,it was refreshing. Keeping this truck on the road means a lot to me . Thanks chris I appreciate you and the team.

The tire that blew out when I was driving. The tire that was on the car when we got it.

There are quite a number of really negative reviews on here. I rate their service a 3 (neutral) …read more I bought a used truck from them in 2019. The truck has served me pretty well, with the only issue was it began having extremely noisy leaf springs. After replacing them with new GM leaf springs ($900) at Dewey Barber Chevrolet the noise came back in a few months ---- no difference. $900 down the hole. I learned online this is a common GM fault the company will NOT fix. I fixed it myself eventually with some Spring Things I bought for $45 online. Quite as it should be now. The 5.3 engine started having lifter "tick" sound at startup, then went away. I've pretty much solved this issue by changing oil every 3k rather than go by the computer on the dashboard. The real issue I had with Bill Smith service dept was I was in Arab, AL and the motor started the loud ticking sound and the oil pressure went to almost 0. I limped it in to Bill Smith in Cullman. They told me "it has little or no oil in it". Surrre..They told me the engine could be damaged and could possibly need a new one. I drove it home. I changed oil and filter myself the next day. That was about 6 years ago. Still driving it today and does not burn oil. What happened?....and why?....I'll never know. So...I have very mixed feelings about the service department. I've used Dewey Barber Chevrolet just down the road from them and an independent mechanic I trust ever since then for routine service things with no problems from them. Would I let them service my vehicle if I had a serious problem? Probably No. Would I buy from them again? Probably No because of the above issue.

Don't bring your car here unless you want it broken…read more Don't buy a car from them. Don't come here. Period. We bought new tires and only put 17 miles on them have done service and alignments and fixed everything with them they refused to warrantee the old tires , told us it was our fault for picking our the tires they sold us and that they just got voice mail on the Kumho tires and so we wound just have to buy a new more expensive set. When I came back after having them put new tires on all the sudden it needs a brand new $500 "at cost" because now it won't even crank or hold a charge. While we were in the waiting room the couple across from us had their brand new 60k Jeep in for its first oil change and they forgot the plug , ran it out of oil, making a clanking sound and they are going to rip the engine out. They spent 3 days here. We've spent multiple days here , and every single time we come it's another something wrong. We actually had to take the 2020 Chrysler van to get headlights but they didn't have them in stock and Guthries did a great job and my car still worked after that two weeks prior and they are the ones who told me my tires were bad so I went back to the dealership where we bought them from to remedy the situation and instead end up with $863 for tires and $500 for a battery when it should have been a free replacement on their warranty. DO NOT COME HERE.

After only a couple thousand miles, the engine malfunction light came on, and they couldn't figure out how to fix it. The tailgate was out of alignment, and after taking it to a body shop, they confirmed it had previous damage--yet the dealership did nothing about it. Then the sunroof started leaking, and again, nothing was done. It was one problem after another until we finally traded it in for a brand new Honda CR-V in Decatur, which has been dependable and backed by a reputable company. Do your homework before buying here. If you must buy a Nissan, go to Birmingham or Huntsville instead. Save yourself the headache and go somewhere that actually stands behind what they sell.

It'll be a day or so till it's ready. I said that's fine. Scheduled an appointment to go see it. It was eight days until it was ready when I went to go view the vehicle it was not advertised correctly online they said it was a third row that it had all these features and it did not have any of that. It had damaged interior with holes in the seats worn seatbelts no third row but a third row delete. When I asked how far they were willing to negotiate as what was advertised on mine is not what I'm seeing in person. He said this is the best we can do. I'm trying to go to the beach tomorrow. I said I'm unable to do anything along those lines then unless you can get the payment under a certain amount. The sales manager came over asked if he could run both mine and my husband's credit I said that's fine no issues against that. He ran Syd credit and it was three hours. We had no updates so I asked for my second set of keys back they said oh wait a moment and I said no my kids are ready to go home and eat. It's late. We've been here a while thank you for your time but we scheduled an appointment and this is taking a while. We'd like to head home. He refused again, so my husband took the kids out to the car with our primary set of keys loaded them up and then they finally gave my second set of keys and said they would contact us. It's been four days and enough still yet to hear anything. I don't need to trade in my vehicle, but it's still frustrating to have had such wasted time for a large purchase. I will say hands-down every day go to Mitch Smith Chevy and they will treat you right they've done me and my husband while there we should not have appeared and looked at a car elsewhere.

AVOID! AVOID THIS SERVICE DEPARTMENT! By far the most unprofessional and unconcerned dealership…read moreservice department. Had a recall on my 2016 F150, door actuators and power supply. Had minor issues with only the driver door. Make the call and take the truck in. Pick up at the end of the day and everything seemed right. Arrived home and this is on a Friday. Well I go to open the back right door and it will not open. Key fob will not unlock the door so I try to pull the lock itself and it will not move at all. Go to the passenger side and try that door. It will not open nor will it unlock. Monday comes and I call back she says to bring back on that following Friday. I take it back and she say it will be ready in a few hours. At the end of the day she calls and tells me that they got to order "two" cables for the back doors and will not be in until Monday. Finally on Wednesday the truck is ready. I am out of town so I have my dad pick it up. I arrive home that Friday and guess what. Yelp, you are correct! The passenger rear door will now open from the inside but will unlock with key fob or manually but will not open from the outside. So I call once again and they tell me to bring it back on Monday. Take the truck back for the 4th time and this time they can not fix it unless I pay $400 for a door latch. How does a door latch get broken unless it's being worked on? These things don't just break. Speak to the service manager and he said nope we aren't covering it and just leaves like it doesn't matter to him. Unless you want your vehicle having more issues after you get it back than you did before you took it I would AVOID THIS DEALERSHIP. They apparently will break stuff and try to make the consumer pay for it.AVOID!
