I wish I could give them negative 5 stars because they make your experience absolutely unpleasant. It's been a month and a half since I purchased a washer and drier and a dishwasher. First of all, dishwasher came with dents in it, and not little ones. They were only able to knock off 200$ on a 1000$ dishwasher for 3 big dents in the dishwasher. They screwed up the order on my washer and drier, went in to cancel the order and ended up purchasing a completely different brand, to find out, they don't have them in stock. How do you sell stuff you don't have?? Everything they have is floor model, and nothing is in stock. Been waiting 2 weeks to receive them, and finally, when they come, the stack kit is not with it. So now, I have to wait i don't know how many more days to get the kit, but I hate the management here, and good luck getting the manager involved, because he/she is always in hiding. I be you, the store manager has no clue what's going on on their sales floor. I wish I could have them shut down, because as far as I'm concerned, they don't deserve my money or my time. The Brick has been my go to place for home furnishings. I never have an issue with high pressure sales people, in fact, when I went to purchase my bed the sales person wasn't pushy at all. Part of my deal was a 42" television. Granted it's not a name brand plasma but it does the job and I have not had a problem with it. I did purchase the warranty which was about $240 for 2 years and if it's not used in that time I can use the money toward another purchase from The Brick. I don't think that's such a bad deal. read more

We purchased a reclining sofa, reclining chair and 2 tub chairs in January, 2021. We were told by the salesman that it would be delivered in March. The tub chairs were in stock at the time but we were told if we wanted them we would have to pay 2 delivery fees so we opted to wait. We called in March and were told the delivery would be delayed until May. The tub chairs were still in stock then and nobody offered to ship them to us without additional delivery charge. I called today to follow up on our order and now they say only the sofa has been shipped so that "should" arrive sometime in May but they can't guarantee anything. Now the tub chairs aren't available until approximately June and the reclining chair isn't anticipated until July. Now I found out there should have been no extra charge to ship the tub chairs in January. THIS IS OUTRAGEOUS!! They have been holding on to my $5,000 for 5 months! I recently told a friend not to purchase furniture from them if they actually want to get it delivered. Also, we ordered furniture from Structube and it arrived in 3 weeks, exactly when they promised. read more

Purchased a Panasonic microwave identical model to the one we own already own. The receipt says clearly 3 day customer satisfaction guarantee from the Brick. We tried it the next morning and the motor makes a high pitch sound. Called Brick to exchange as faulty and supervisor/manager said they considered it fine as it still heats and they would not help us. Where is the customer satisfaction guarantee in that response?? We purchased useless garbage from the Brick and their customer satisfaction is false advertising . We will be contacting better business bureau as well regarding this incident. The Brick Coquitlam is full of incompetent people. I purchased the top of the line mattress and box spring from them. The sales person advised me that I had to purchase one of The Brick's mattress covers in order to uphold the mattress warranty. The mattress cover was almost $300 and I purchased it! The Brick called me to arrange delivery. I picked a date and the call was over. The next week they called to arrange a delivery date. Apparently the first call was not noted. This time the woman told me they did not deliver on my previously chosen day so we set a new date. The Brick then called a 3rd time to arrange my delivery date. When I gave them the arranged date from the 2nd phone call they advised me that they did not deliver on that date! After this call I was annoyed and asked to speak to the manager Gilda. Gilda was of little help - basically telling me that she would return my purchase - due to my unhappiness. I asked Gilda if that included the $300 mattress cover to which she replied - "yes as long as it has not been opened" (it had not). I repeated my question to her twice. Today, while attempting to return the mattress cover, Manager Gilda actually lied - stating she had she had never made that promise. Disgusting!!! read more

Bought a bedroom package from here. On delivery I found the cabinet of drawers was so poorly pre-assembled it wobbled on our hardwood floors. Then when I assembled the bed the supporting side frames would not slot into place...another fault with the design. I called to complain and eventually got a manager to agree to a replacement on both with the bonus of having the delivery men set up the furniture in case of other mishaps. All seemed fine until I tried to attach the mirror to the cabinet (as intended) and found the screws they provided were too short to hold it. The bed fit together ok though second time around....just a shame that it squeaks loudly every time I move in it. Lesson learned.....the Brick sell cheap furniture with a no refund policy because they know their products are garbage. I will never shop here again. I will pay more for better quality next time. read more

My mother is asian and doesnt speak English. So I went there with her and she purchased more than $4,000. She got their membership in order to pay later. So, she got some kind of credit and I also got that because the limit of credit is $3,000 and rest of it was paid under my name. Several month later, the payment day came and I got a phone call from the collection department 1 day after the date. So, I had to pay huge interest. Anyway, I got money from my dad and paid it. But... My mother were not in Canada and there was no way to pay the $3,000 BECAUSE WE NEVER RECEIVE ANY PAYMENT STATEMENT OR BRICK CARD. JUST NOTHING!!!!!!!! (Only receipt) 2 month later, I got a bill for my mother and she paid almost $4,000. including interest. lol. I called to the customer service and explained about the situation. But, they said that this is our reponsibility to pay the bill on time. They know that we still didn't get the brick card and any statement. One of the employee in Coquitlam brick store said, "how come person doesn't speak English can get the brick card??". They pushed customers to buy their stuff and don't concern after that. read more

Bought a Samsung home theatre from them. Took it home and the sound was fine but no picture. Brand new out of the box it didn't work. They wouldn't replace it. Instead I have to take it in for service on my time. Terrible customer service. I will be telling all about my experience and will never set foot in a Brick store again. read more

Very poor customer service at the Brick Westwood store, We purchased a microwave and trim kit for our new kitchen. Because it was a custom built kitchen we were very careful to get the dimensions of the microwave and trim kit printed on the invoice. Based on the dimensions provided by the salesman our cabinet maker built our cabinets. When he tried to install the microwave in the trim kit it didn't fit, because the whole kitchen cabinets were built our only choice was to return the microwave and get a smaller one, This was very upsetting as I was looking forward to my new large microwave and because I was having custom built cabinets I had the opportunity to have what I wanted, When we took the microwave back to the brick and explained the mistake they had made selling us a trim kit too small for the microwave I had purchased imagine our surprise when they said because we purchased it 2 weeks ago it was to late to return it. I explained to the manager again that it was their mistake selling us the wrong trim kit and we now had a cabinet opening to small for the microwave they sold us. The manager argued with us for over 30 minutes saying we just didn't understand how the trim kit worked and it did fit. My husband ended up having to go home and get the trim kit to prove that it didn't fit, no apology from the manager! The lesson is don't buy appliances from a furniture stores do don't expect any customer service from the brick. read more

I bought the pet pee warranty for my new 2400 sectional sofa. The Warranty staff came up with every excuse in the book when I tried to make a claim one year into the 5 year coverage. The conversation went like this - "When did your pet make the stain? Because it's only covered one for two weeks after the stain happens" -ok within the last two weeks then "How many stains are there?" - how many am I allowed? (Realizing she's trying to catch me in a word game where I can't possibly provide the correct answer) "One" -ok it's one. "But you said stains before, so is it more than one?" -you just said it the warranty is only valid if there's only one spot right? "Yes" - ok it's one then. Listen, my couch smells like cat pee and I bought the cat pee warranty. "The warranty doesn't cover the smell, just the stain". -seriously? The cat pee warrantee doesn't cover the smell. Ok, so what's next step to replace it based on the stain then? "I'll send out a spot cleaner kit" -How long do I have to complete this next step before I run out of time? "There's no time limit" The stain kit arrives in the mail a week or two later, I do the treatment, it doesn't help. I email back a week after that "Warranty issues must be dealt with in a timely manner and it's been too long now" -but I specifically asked you how long I had because I had a feeling you were going to say that and you said no time limit. "I never said no time limit. Please send more photos of the couch" I send photos. "I can send out a new cushion" The cushions aren't removable. I give the couch away for a song instead of dealing with the ridiculous hassle of dealing with the warranty staff (which I'm sure 90% of people do and that's what they're banking on). First time I do an online review of a business, but this store is so terrible, I just had to do it. What people say here is true: The Brick employees completely change their attitude once they get your money. My wife wanted a fancy refrigerator for Christmas, so I bought it at The Brick Coquitlam. The delivery guys were rude, and complained all the time about everything. Then oh surprise, one of the refrigerator handles came damaged from the factory and I've been trying to get the refrigerator changed. The result: I had the disgrace of having to talk to Erlyn from "customer service" who even more rude than the delivery guys. read more

Bought a fridge for delivery mid June...as it was special order was told delivery end of June or first couple days in July . As of July 8th no phone call no fridge. After phoning was told mid July . As of July 24th no fridge no phone call. After phoning again was told end of month. After asking to speak to manager was told she was training and not available. When it comes to selling you a product they are all over you but any follow up is abysmal. Have bought my last item at the brick. read more

First of all they sold my landlord a broken EUROPEAN floor model of a laundry machine, then said they can't do anything to help him. After weeks of finally getting them to swap it for a new model and getting a reasonable time to come (they give u a window of 4-5 hours expecting you to take the day off work.) They finally come and bring a unit that has NO OPTION FOR HOT WATER as the place you need to plug it in has a metal circle covering it that hasn't been cut out. Currently it is HOPPING around my floor on a cold wash because the machine doesn't look leveled or needs something under it or something. i guess I'll have to look that up myself too. The manual was shoved inside dripping wet and smelling nasty. read more

I have mixed feeling about this Brick store (mostly bad though). I agree with one of the reviews on Google that the older man was probably the best sales rep we have dealt with at this location. We went there one year ago just to look around and he was helpful in giving advises. However, recently when we went back to that store, every other sale reps we talked to were terrible: 1) During one visit when the store was close to closing, we walked in just wanted to have a quick peek for the mattresses promotion. Then this one guy came to us to ask if we needed help, which was fine. But after that he asked us to come back next time when he's around, so he said something like this "DON'T COME BACK TOMORROW AND THE DAY AFTER (SATURDAY AND SUNDAY). I'm off on Monday as well, so COME BACK NEXT TUESDAY so I can help you." Well, it's understandable if we had a good relationship with him but saying this to customers when they just walked into the store seems ridiculous and unprofessional. Customers probably usually have more time to shop for furniture during weekend - why would any sale rep said that? lol Asking customers to return to the store next time when he is around without understand their need is just terrible. A few days later when we went back to check more furniture, this same guy asked us whether we needed help THREE times even though we told him we didn't need help each single time. He didn't seem to remember us at all. lol There's another guy who seems to know what he was talking about but after we did more research on the Internet, we found out we disagree with most of his recommendations. We realized he might be just trying to sell as much services as possible. Also, one time he called us to go back because that weekend has a HUGE discount for appliances but he couldn't tell us what the prices are on the phone. So we went back and it turned out the discount was the SAME as the discount the weekend before and during the week. The prices weren't even as good as Sears. Also, their so-called VIP event invitation was not as good as we expected. Overall experience at this store is terrible. If anyone is going to this store, we would recommend talking to the older guy. Or, if you want to get a good discount, maybe you can talk to the sale managers? We later went to another Brick in Coquitlam and we had a much better experience over there. We recently purchased a sleep set at the brick at this location, we are unhappy with the product and tried to contact with the sale person who helped us with the purchase at the beginning. We called so many times in a week , he either not working , with VIP , on lunch break , not available at this moment. We left phone number and messages for him to call us back , but we never hear anything from him. Poor and careless customer service. I hate to do bad reviews, but this needs to be said! Went into the Westwood Mall Brick store with cash in hand to make a large purchase the other day. There were 5 sales people milling around, and not one even acknowledged me! I knew exactly what I wanted to buy, but they were all too busy watching a game on the TVs in the store. Several customers were all shrugging their shoulders at each other wondering what we needed to do to get some service. NOT IMPRESSED!!!! So - it's either them chasing you down, or this. Bicast leather is the bottom split of the hide or the third cut. Good manufactures use the middle split of the hide which is more subtle, has a nicer hand, and tailors better to the frame. Most bicast leathersd have an additional final polyurethane top coating that adds excellent protection and durability. If you have kids or pets, this is the best. Full aniline which is the top of the hide is not as durable. The top is limited to the amount of treatments given. It needs the warranty. read more

Terrible customer service, will do anything to get a sale and then leave you chasing for a refund! Wouldn't refund me a $100 delivery charge, when earlier on the phone they told me I would get it back! We were worried about the couch making it into our living room, and the salesman assured us that he's never had it returned because it didn't fit! complete lie! Had to call several times for a refund, they never called me, even when they said they would. Then they had to call the manager 4 times to come to approve the refund, even though the store had no customer there. Worst service, don't care about anything other than making a buck... I will never shop there again! If they would have handled it differently they would still have a customer, but as long as I can I will deter as many as I can from shopping at the Brick in general especially the Grandview Hwy store! read more

Last weekend me and my bf went to go furniture shopping and this is probably our 3rd visit to the brick. We wanted to make sure the dimensions of the couch we were planning to purchase will fit in our condo. Usually we are bombarded with sales men coming up to us but I guess because it was the end of the day there wasn't many sales men. We were looking for a measuring tape and Taj a new salesman who started there about a month ago helped us. He was polite and friendly. He wasn't pushy but super helpful. I will definitely go back to him for future questions or help. We successfully purchased a new tempurpedic bed thanks to his help! read more
