I was in the Brick On Nov 25 2022 and told the salesperson I wanted a 24inch TV on a pedestal. He quickly gave me one with legs and told me there was a pedestal inside (Of course LIED) I told him it was a Christmas gift and he did not tell me I only have 5 days from date of sale to return. Everything the Brick salesmen tell you is a lie! They would not exchange or allow return. NEVER shop at the Brick they are idiots and liars!! You should never do business with any brick store, Leon's or Transglobal (all the same company) They sell you defective merchandise, and will refuse to fix it even if you paid a lot of money for their extended warrantee. The extended warrantee is a cash cow, where they pocket a good extra amount of cash on every purchase they sucker someone into buying. They will not, however, ever provide the service agreed to in that warrantee. It's just free money to them. I have a $3000 paperweight sitting in my house. Thanks a bunch! To give you an idea of the thought process of this company, the manager from the Clarence/ Kennedy store actually told me (very proudly) that only 10% of their customers feel cheated by them. Great customer service from sales agent Jackie today. The sofa I purchased from the Brick on Boxing day, was too wide to pass my doorway. The delivery men told me to call the Brick and explain the situation. Super lady Jackie was able to find a suitable solution while I remain on the line. Although it's costing me a couple hundred$ more, the service negated the added cost. read more

2.5* Smaller Brick, stopped by while I was in the area. Tip: There is NO entrance off Kennedy Rd., so don't be tempted to make that turn! Only entrance is off Clarence St. Oh, The Brick. A necessary-evil for those of you who've been furniture shopping yet want to move beyond Ikea. In some ways though, shopping at Ikea is a better experience as you do not have to deal with any commission-hungry staff. Here, you hafta know what to expect and that is that you're gonna be accosted as soon as you step foot inside the store. You'll have a somewhat aggressive sales person ask if you're looking for anything in particular, what you need, if you need help, etc. and that's OK as long as you can see past that. For the most part, I've just come into these stores to check out their prices/quality first-hand. Sure, the sales staff can be in-your-face, but you can also use their eagerness to your advantage by asking them questions like, "Do you have a measuring tape?" Again, since I've never purchased anything, I can only go by feeling and I sense that the quality is OK. Not the best, but certainly not the worst either. read more

The Brick rectified the situation with calling me to advise that they would offer a replacement headboard. They removed the old headboard on February 21, 2020, and installed the new headboard. All in all I'm glad this was resolved and couldn't be more pleased. I'm also happy with the service from the delivery guys who were very pleasant to deal with and very professional. read more

I am appalled at the customer service this place gives. My daughter and son-in-law bought bed here early March. The bed was defective, which they found out first night. They tried to return it but had to go through the hoops to put in a claim. This was still within the 90 day return policy. The Brick refused to take it back, saying it was not their responsibility. Now mid April, someone came today to take a picture of it. They have to assess what the bed needs and will order a part for it. This claim person has 7 days to file that picture. Now they are at the mercy of this claims person to do his part. Then, an appointment will have to be made for them to come back to fix the bed, which can take weeks.. even months. This poor couple don't have a bed. They are both essential and frontline workers. They can't even get a good nights rest because of this terrible situation. I thought the Brick was supposed to be a good company with good customers service..... Up there with Leon's. I feel that people should really know this so you can go to a store that will honour the code of, "The Customer comes first!" Buyers beware!!!! You don't want to have to go through something so frustrating. read more

The manager was useless and accusatory. I will never shop at this Brick again. You know those times were you walk away knowing that you are right but they refuse to see it. Very frustrating. Unacceptable and very disappointing service. Ordered a sofa set, had it delivered 2 months later just to receive the wrong order. Customer service would not even admit to their fault and kept telling us there's nothing we can do, after an hour of arguing we had our order swapped. 3 weeks later we again received the wrong sofa chair. Very poor customer service and sales associate. They are just there to get their commission and will leave you in the dust. Save yourself trouble from going to this particular location. Would honestly never go to the Brick again after this experience, they do not care for their customers. Avoid yourself trouble people this store is known for their bad customer service. read more

This is my own personal experience, and unfortunately, it's been such an awful one - it's a shame that I can't give this location less than a 1-star review. Despite leaving numerous messages with staff, emails, and voicemail messages, I've yet to receive any assistance on a refund. I've forwarded complaints to Head Office - I'm hoping the head office in Alberta will be able to assist me further. The sales associate who "helped" clearly works on commission (money-hungry much?) - he's severely misinformed, has zero product knowledge (apparently he can't note down a customer's address correctly in their system, either) and has no customer service skills whatsoever. I purchased a sofa in October, and it was finally delivered mid-January. Items were missing from the order as well. I'm appalled at how this situation is being handled. Hopefully, no one else goes through what I had to. This store has received multiple negative reviews on other websites (Yelp, Glassdoor, etc) - I wouldn't be surprised if some (not all) of the positive Google reviews are fake. Do yourselves a favor, and shop elsewhere. read more

I have been a Brick shopper since coming to Canada, however my experiences were mostly with the Toronto (main) branch. This is my first time shopping at Brampton (Clarence) and for the love of nice but affordable stuff, I chose to be patient - I have been waiting for my item to arrive three months-to-the-date now and is still waiting!?...what a bummer. In fairness to the lady helping me (Vera)...she is so nice and sweet but it's not helping me get my stuff which was originally promised me 4-5 weeks, now it has been 3 MONTHS!!! How disappointing...super frustrated and all the superlative negative feelings towards The Brick right now. read more

I made a purchase on an inglis washer and dryer set. it was delivered, the washer worked great the dryer was defective and did not work. I called the 1800 number I was told becasue i didnt report the issue within 48 hours of delivery they could not do anything about it and i would need to contact the manufacter. "Why didnt you read the back of your receipt is what was told". I only had the dryer 5 days and had it installed on day five so the 48 hour deadline meant nothing to me as i didnt have an installer available until that time. The staf that i interacted with during my intial complaine were more interested in quoting policy rather than providing quality customer service. I made two trips to the store and five phone calls to the store and manufacter. FINIALLY, I interacted with someone who understood the meaning of customer service. Jackie, was an absolute professional and a true credit to the world of customer service. She listerned to my story, within ten mins, sorted the problem out and had me on my way. Had it not been for her the rating would have been one star if any! read more
