And without a doubt, they were the right realtors for us. More than anything, we needed someone to hold our hands through the process of selling our first house. I think it was Julie who said the experience was more like a marathon than a sprint. One of the things that we found the most appealing were the duo's stats. The ratio of sales price to asking price, and the average time of their listings on market, were fantastic. But what is it they always say? Past results aren't a guarantee of future success? It took a little bit longer, and we didn't quite get as much for the house as we had hoped. But there were a lot of unexpected bumps along the road. Like a tree falling onto the house, and puncturing a hole in the roof, while it was on the market. But Patrick and Julie were always a reassuring voice of calm. Plus, they were able to connect us with people who could help shore up the house to get it ready for going on the market, even when our long time handyman wasn't able to get us onto his schedule. While part of me wishes the couple might have been more aggressive at marketing the property, I don't regret the decision to pass on the more aggressive agent we considered for the listing. With an impending move on the horizon, and the inherently stressful proposition of selling one's most valuable asset, the calm and peaceful disposition of McSharry and Associates was just what we needed. Thanks again to Julie and Patrick for working with us, and even answering our questions after the sale was complete. They never doubted that it would turn out okay in the end. And indeed, it did. Plus, they donate a portion of their commission to a local charity of the seller's choice, which is just the icing on top of the cake. The home we purchased was a foreclosure and the seller left a house full of garbage. We were…read morepromised by Paul Fontane at the closing and prior to the closing, that he would have all garbage removed from the property at his cost. We thought it was a nice gesture and we're appreciative at first. We tried to knock down the pile as much as we could by having a garage sale. We made $60, which later went towards paying someone to take the rest away. His garbage guy took less than half the pile and left the rest all over the driveway. In the end, we paid another $200 to get rid of the rest on our own... which any new homeowner will attest... isn't an expense you need when buying a home. To top it off, we had to hand deliver a sellers incentive check to the seller ourselves because Paul was too nervous to do it himself, because of a smaller check than promised. Paul got his money and it's all he cared about... the deal was done and he washed his hands of it. Sounds a lot like a politician... nothing but empty promises.

But they only prime painted most of the walls and left nails in the walls and never cleaned up...but she let agents continues to show the house?? When I finally began to wonder what could be going on, I traveled to Albany to see for myself and could not believe she would conduct business like this. Very unprofessional.. we had to hire another company at a cost of $2-3K more to fix the work. NEVER use her recommended contractors as they appear to be working the numbers together.
