Greek and Italian salad w/ house dressing. So good!!

So good! Salads are amazing! Get the house dressing. We get a pizza every time we're down it's that good. The hot subs are also delicious.

    The ranch in question.

Went on my lunch break with co workers. I ordered the chicken tendies and fries. Gotta say, great food. Easy wait time. I could imagine when it gets busier it would be a long wait time, but honestly who cares. Their waiting room is an arcade! Nice people, local! Which is important. Locally owned! Would have gotten 5 stars but their ranch isn't the best! LOL

The Breakers Arcade is the perfect afternoon stop if you're looking to spend a little time out of the sun and find some cheap entertainment. Their arcade selection was great for a small beach town and I found myself taking long walks into the town center and always stopping by for a game of pinball (they've got Adam's Family pinball for $.50/game) or air hockey. Their selection also includes some ticket winning games so adults and kids can enjoy the fun. If you're looking for the old school "ski game" or to dual a friend in guitar hero, look no further. They also have several pool tables and skee ball. The Breakers also has THE BEST ice cream I had on the beach. TONS of different flavors although nothing "over the top", very nice employees and great prices (much better then the creamery in town on all of the above!) You can park for free and they have free bathrooms. This might not seem like a big deal to most, but if you're visiting OIB for a day trip, this is a great fact to log. The Pier/arcade next door charges you $1 to "use the bathroom" (since you have to pay to go out to the pier). I would definitely recommend The Breakers Arcade if you're looking for an afternoon activity or some delicious ice cream.

Their pepperoni pizza is so good! Extra cheesy and saucy. They don't usually answer the phone so we go the restaurant to order.

Terrible service. Didn't even finish ordering. Couldn't handle the disrespectful workers. Two young ladies. Not worth your time.

My original review at their first location still stands, and the icy treats are still as good as ever. Friendly and quick service as well. The Deets: On this recent trip to OIB, I found that Sunset Slush at yet another new location on the island area of OIB, this time on Causeway Drive on the way into the main part of the island (replacing the one they had at the OIB Fishing Pier, apparently). And as I have said before in other location reviews, it still is a good frozen treat no matter which location you choose. Still liking my mainstay flavors of lemon, lemon-lime, and tangerine Italian ice as well as the Sonic flavored slush/Italian ice (lemon-lime and cherry together), I love them just as much as when I had my first one here many years ago. You can still get the small, medium, or "coozie" sizes as like all other locations and the cart that goes up/down on the beach sand itself. It definitely remains a "gotta have" when at OIB. This location appears to be shared with a dessert shop as well called Sandcastles Sweets and Treats that has ice cream and other sweet delights but I have only sampled my favorite Italian ice/slush treats here. Service each time on this trip has been friendly and quick to fill each order. Still two thumbs up for this chilly treat!

The service was okay, not the best. They were also being racist because I'm a bit brown, so I was a little confused, and they charged me extra for no reason. I think it's because it was the spoon, but it didn't make sense!! never coming back. I also found a fly. A FLY in my frozen yogurt, and when I was putting my frozen yogurt in my cup, I swear it was a bit brown for vanilla, and once I was done, I saw a roach. Also, the atmosphere was very moist; it did smell a bit funny, and when I put some hand sanitizer on it, it smelled horrible. TERRIBLE. It smelled like a dead animal!!

Traveling from out of town and decided to swing by for some ice cream…read more They have the Hershey's glass cased ice cream which looked great but unfortunately did not get. We went for the frozen yogurt machines where they had a few good flavors. If you are familiar with Sweet Frog, the concept very similar. 2/5 star rating because the toppings were not fresh tasting or quality like. Oreos were not actual oreos but alternative like Oreo branded cookie. Brownie was super hard and dry and eating into it crumbled immediately. I got hot fudge and the pump seemed to encounter some issues as the worker said she just filled it but after 10 pumps of air, I received maybe 1 pump worth. I gave up on the hot fudge. The environment itself was great. Very kid friendly, colorful, and had a lot of heart to it. It was roomy and looks like the host birthday parties there as well. Again, unsure if I came on a bad day but it was not enjoyable and wish I had saved money and got the Hershey's scooped ice cream instead.

The avocado toast, the veggie breakfast burrito, the coffee cake, the smoothies, and the iced black amber are my go to's and they never miss. The service is quick, even though I know they get crazy busy during the summer. As someone who understands service/cafe biz, I will always give leniency to workers who are busting it during high volume seasons. The people who don't understand that a wait will be expected when you have one good coffee shop on an island that hosts thousands of people every summer are dense. Be kinder to your service workers, people. The most recent time I visited Drift, I was excited to try the Acai bowl. After I ordered, I was told that unfortunately they were out of Acai. They refunded my money and I ordered a smoothie instead. I was ready to pay for my smoothie when the employee told me the smoothie was on the house since they were out of Acai. Great customer service. I've been visiting Ocean Isle since there were rinky-dink water slides in operation across from what is now Drift. It's been wonderful to see a successful, quality coffee shop on the island.

We chose Drift based on Yelp reviews and the menu choices available…read more It's a little coffe shop with a limited, but thoughtful, menu. The coffee was a good, bold brew. Mr. And I both ordered the market bowl. Quinoa, sweet potatoes, avocado, tomato, and a spring mix w a fried egg on top. It was beautiful! Then we bit into it. The sweet potato was barely on the brink of being frozen. The Quinoa was also cold...not just room temperature, but ice-cold! Avocado was way too cold as well. So, you can imagine what this did to the beautifully cooked egg... yep - turned it cold in a heartbeat. Really off-putting to bit into. Mr. went back inside and asked if they had a microwave to heat it up and the 'workers' just said that was they way it was supposed to be. Mr. tossed the entire thing in the trash and simply said "well, it's disgusting". You would think there would be a simple offer to heat it up, or some kind of remedy for the situation. They didn't give a crap. I'm pretty sure they flipped us the bird on the way out. Nice.
