We'd given up and we're going to go back to just using clips ins for volume. We went to Vanity hair Supply off Rayford and found a few products. While we were there I asked the lady helping us if she did hair. She said no, but Desiree at Crownz and Tresses did her and her daughter's hair. We ran over there around 11am on a Saturday. We went in and Desiree came over to help us. She listened and understood what we we're looking for. She told us exactly what she could do. I loved that she was conservative and didn't try to do more than what my daughter needed. We ran home and grabbed the extensions and Desiree had them in and finished within and hour. Which was amazing since my daughter was leaving the next day. I just really can't say enough about her and the salon. Fairest prices we have found anywhere. Please check her out. She makes her own wigs as well.

Hello, I am disappointed that I feel I need to write this review. I found Margo on Groupon. She…read moreasked me not to purchase the Groupon for a full head of highlights, cut and style. She said Groupon charges too much and she won't make any money. I agreed and made the appointment with her. Groupon stated that a full head, haircut, and style was $101 and partial highlights, haircut and style was $66. She told me she only had time for partial highlights and would owe me the haircut. She was already foiling my hair so I agreed. My biggest issue was with payment. I am not sure if she pulled the bait and switch routine with me or not. I would hate to believe this is what she did, but I will let you be the judge. After she finished, I gave her my credit card and she swiped it but said she made a mistake and would need to charge it again. I asked her if she was positive the charge did not go through. She said she was absolutely positive. She swiped it again. It was chaotic and she had a nervous energy. At this point, we were both in a rush too. I noticed on my credit card statement a charge for $66. and a charge for $138. same day at Hair By Margo. I sent Margo a text message about the additional charge and I told her that the total should be $79.20 which would include a 20% tip. I sent a screenshot of my bill showing the two amounts. She responded and said "wow, that got really messed up, I'm sorry about that, I will fix it right away," ( the extra charge) I asked her about the total charge too, she said we ended up doing partial and the toner was $30, so you got a better deal at $115. I had no idea I was being charged $30 for the toner, which is a bit steep. Then there was a 20% tip added. I should have asked how much I was being charged but assumed it was the $66 and she said the toner was "not much". I have had highlights for 25 years and the toner was only used when there was a mistake, which was 15 years ago. My sister said her hairdresser doesn't charge for toner and another friend said she pays $15. Either way, she said she would correct the bill. About 15 days later I had not received a credit and contacted her. She responded and said that she has been too busy and was not able to follow up but will look into it. A few days later I had not received a response and called the credit card company. About a week later (now over a month since I had my hair done by her) requesting that she does have confirmation from glossgenius that my card was charged the extra amount and they advised for me to drop the dispute and go directly through her and that it would take longer for me to receive the refund. I wrote back and explained that they already refunded me and they will verify this with her. Then about three weeks later I receive a letter from my credit card company with a copy of a letter she submitted telling them the charges were VALID and I was not overcharged. The credit card company reversed the credit. I sent Margo a text message telling her that I received the letter with a copy of what she submitted where she stated that the charges were valid. She responded and said she did not do that! I also sent her the letter. Then she called me and offered to pay me cash. I think she knew I wasn't just going to go away. Per the credit card company, they asked me to submit all the text messages, etc. I spent 2 hours gather all the data and submitting per the cc company instructions. At this point I really did not know what to think. Was she really making these mistakes and did not know it? She did offer to give me cash. The credit card company said they are closing the case. When I contacted her to come by and get the cash she did not respond. I waited 5 days before contacting the credit card company again. Now 3 months later they reviewed the information I sent while I was on the phone. I spent 2 hours on the phone with them and they are finally re-processing the refund again and said it will be final. The credit card company told me that Margo could have made this easier and she could have refunded the money, which I know and made the whole thing very frustrating. Because she could have refunded me and did not and asked me to come get cash and then when I said I would there was no response........she did not have any intentions of refunding me and wanted to keep the money.

I've been going to this salon for 4 years and I'm very surprised at the lack of customer service I…read morehave experienced in the past couple of days. They are very quick to blame and not listen to their customers if something does not turn out right. I've experienced some green streaks in my hair and left a message asking to give me a call back. When I received a call back the first thing the receptionist says is well you took a call during your hair appointment ( I'm sure I'm not the only person that has taken a phone call or work call during their hair appointment) and that might be why you are seeing the green streaks. She doesn't sympathize and say oh no , I'm sorry you are experiencing this let's see what we can do. Instead they jump to conclusions and very quick to blame the customer. My hair dresser Ashly never gives me a call back directly to gather more information (3 days have past since I left a message) and to see how we can fix this. Instead she has her sister Amy call me back again blaming me that the treatment did not go the way it should have. After several minutes of her arguing with me she finally scheduled me to come in to get the toner fix. The next day my hair dress again doesn't call but text me that I'm not taking responsibility and putting the blame on her (by the way I have yet to speak with her over the phone). I explained to her I'm not blaming just want to fix the green streaks. She then says she is canceling my scheduled appointment and I can go somewhere else to get it fixed. I've been an easy customer that has spent a lot of money with this salon ($335 for cut, root touch up and toner touch up) and when my hair dresser Ashly wants to move my appointments around to accommodate her schedule I do so with no complaints. When she is working on 2 clients at the same time and not giving me that full one on one experience, again no complains. The first time I've ever reached out about green streaks in my hair and then blamed from the start by the receptionist, Amy and Ashly. Then to top it off I was asked by Ashly to no longer go to their salon. I was never asked to come in to take a look at my hair or let's see what we can do and work with me. It's very hard to get great customer service and I was hoping this salon would have been able to provide that to me. I would say if you are looking for a salon for great service, that will spend one on one time with you during your scheduled appointment time and not bouncing around to other clients, and has fair prices then this salon unfortunately does not have these qualities. I hope they learn from this experience and next time listen and try to communicate in a positive way and compromise a solution that everyone is happy with instead of losing more loyal customers. The below photos are the texts messages I received from my hair dresser Ashly three days after I left a message about seeing green streaks. This is so you can see how they talk to customers.

I want to preface this by saying the people in this shop were so sweet and incredible. They made me…read morefeel very welcome and excepted. That is not what this review is about. I purchased a wig for 2,700$ for full human hair, it started off fine. After three months the lace began to unravel. Badly. Way passed usual wear and tear, as lace fraying is normal. The hair came out in droves when I would care for it. Having dealt with wigs before I followed, all necessary care instructions to keep my wig at its best to no avail. The wig now is unusable, with several bald spots as pictured. I took very VERY good care of this wig. This was a lot of money for me to spend, and I am expected to get what I pay for in terms of quality when I spend that amount of money on a human hair wig not to have it collapse, after only five months of daily use and wear. I am upset this is how it turned out, but it is what it isI suppose. I did call the shop last month and asked if they did wig repair, to which they told me they do not do but to send it to the wig doctor online, and when I looked at prices, the repair of the wig would be about the same as my purchase of the wig. I feel bad writing a review for such lovely people, but the quality isn't there.
