Unfortunately, I didn't receive a response until about half a day later, only a few hours before the expected appointment time. If the service had been listed online, I would have booked directly and avoided the delay and uncertainty. When I arrived, a staff member named Lasisi (la-cee-cee) began working on my hair, but the experience quickly became disappointing. My hair was not detangled before being washed, which is basic care for this type of service. During the wash, my hair was handled very roughly, rubbed together in a way that caused significant tangling and damage, rather than being gently cleansed. My scalp also didn't feel properly cleaned. I even provided my own conditioner, but it was left on for only a few minutes before being rinsed out. The blow-drying process was just as concerning, my hair was not sectioned or detangled beforehand. Instead, it was blow-dried all at once, which only added to the damage. She was requested to section off my hair and blow dry it by sections. She separated the very back nap of my neck area blow dried, and then continue to blow dry the rest of my hair as a whole. Overall, there was a clear lack of care and attention to the health of my hair throughout the entire process. I left extremely frustrated and disappointed. Despite the shop being very convenient to my home, I will NEVER be returning based on this experience!

When I was enroute, Dee texted that she was going to be an hour later than our appointment time. I was not greeted upon arrival and when Dee was able to start my hair, she immediately mentioned to me that the style I was getting was supposed to be 180. I said ok, but you texted me 160. She said 'show me', which i did and she repeated that it was supposed to be 180. I said ok. She didn't speak to me at all while there, but she did speak with all of the other stylist for 5 hours in French the entire time I was there. Didn't ask about part preference, tightness, sensitive spots, whether im tender headed or anything. She was rough with my hair and i felt rips and pulls. She did my edges WAY too tight. She does work fast when she focused on my hair and completed the style. When people in the salon started remarking about how pretty the style was, Dee leaned in and said to me if you want this style from us again, it will be 200.00. In my heart, i thought to myself, there are hundreds of great braiders in Houston--i won't be back. I absolutely hate greedy stylist. Quote your price and stick to it. If your style is nice/do great work, you will get referrals and people will come and pay. Dee made me feel VERY uncomfortable. I hated this experience. Upon arrival, I wanted to leave while I was waiting for her. I feel like Dees actions puts this salon in the category of being a money grab. I felt hustled. They do NOTHING to 'keep' business, there focus is to rob each customer for as much as they can get in the moment. I'm usually a great tipper but after that treatment, and the 200.00 comment in my ear, I paid the 160 and promptly left. I will NEVER go back to this place.

I've been going to this salon for 4 years and I'm very surprised at the lack of customer service I…read morehave experienced in the past couple of days. They are very quick to blame and not listen to their customers if something does not turn out right. I've experienced some green streaks in my hair and left a message asking to give me a call back. When I received a call back the first thing the receptionist says is well you took a call during your hair appointment ( I'm sure I'm not the only person that has taken a phone call or work call during their hair appointment) and that might be why you are seeing the green streaks. She doesn't sympathize and say oh no , I'm sorry you are experiencing this let's see what we can do. Instead they jump to conclusions and very quick to blame the customer. My hair dresser Ashly never gives me a call back directly to gather more information (3 days have past since I left a message) and to see how we can fix this. Instead she has her sister Amy call me back again blaming me that the treatment did not go the way it should have. After several minutes of her arguing with me she finally scheduled me to come in to get the toner fix. The next day my hair dress again doesn't call but text me that I'm not taking responsibility and putting the blame on her (by the way I have yet to speak with her over the phone). I explained to her I'm not blaming just want to fix the green streaks. She then says she is canceling my scheduled appointment and I can go somewhere else to get it fixed. I've been an easy customer that has spent a lot of money with this salon ($335 for cut, root touch up and toner touch up) and when my hair dresser Ashly wants to move my appointments around to accommodate her schedule I do so with no complaints. When she is working on 2 clients at the same time and not giving me that full one on one experience, again no complains. The first time I've ever reached out about green streaks in my hair and then blamed from the start by the receptionist, Amy and Ashly. Then to top it off I was asked by Ashly to no longer go to their salon. I was never asked to come in to take a look at my hair or let's see what we can do and work with me. It's very hard to get great customer service and I was hoping this salon would have been able to provide that to me. I would say if you are looking for a salon for great service, that will spend one on one time with you during your scheduled appointment time and not bouncing around to other clients, and has fair prices then this salon unfortunately does not have these qualities. I hope they learn from this experience and next time listen and try to communicate in a positive way and compromise a solution that everyone is happy with instead of losing more loyal customers. The below photos are the texts messages I received from my hair dresser Ashly three days after I left a message about seeing green streaks. This is so you can see how they talk to customers.

My experience with this salon was truly heartbreaking and extremely disappointing…read more I came in asking for an all over highlight. Not a huge fan of the baby light technique so I asked for chunky-er pieces. I've never had issues in the past as I've had money pieces, etc. I was under NO impression that it was a "color correction" or that it needed a multi step process. I know little about color so I followed who I thought was the "expert" For almost $400, I received a five hour gruesome appointment, two hours which I was stuffed at the wash bowl and when I went to the bathroom I saw my hair was actually orange, where my stylist told me "it's not done yet". I'll post photos, but the after was not at all what I was wanting. The salon light was super deceiving and I was trying to be nice and respectful so I even shared a filtered photo to make my stylist feel better. After I washed it I was absolutely horrified. I genuinely don't think my hair had ever looked so bad. It had a weird yellow tint with a little green and there was patches EVERYWHERE. It looked rushed and honestly like I tried to do it at home. After trying to be nice, I went to the owner to fix it. After an in depth conversation, we agreed on a darker color to blend the yellow on top. After I drove (almost an hour there and back - spent a whole tank of premium gas on this experience) and getting dirty looks from the other stylist on the way to my second appointment, it looked the same if not worse and more washed out after. And I paid almost $400. After missing one of my good friends birthday on a Saturday after crying all day about how bad my hair was, I reached out to the owner politely asking to fix it. She refused unless I paid for MORE bleach and then ghosted me. No refund, no nothing. Now I have to pay even MORE for a color correction after my hair has been completely ruined. I really tried to be as nice and respectful because I completely understand that things happen, but I was beyond screwed over on multiple levels. I would highly recommend against this salon and will be sharing my experience within my circle.
