    The Bowl

This place is still pretty new. I like the layout and the splash center for the kids. I would love to see it when there are more restaurants available and would also like to see an event here. Love partitions for a little group privacy but I don't know how that would effect views on a full event.

This is our "view" from the lawn, a bunch of picnic table specialty seats; you absolutely cannot see the stage from the lawn!

Absolutely Unacceptable!!!! We bought tickets for tonight's Collective Soul concert at The Bowl at Sugar Hill. The problem for everyone like us that bought lawn seats? It is completely IMPOSSIBLE to see the stage from the lawn. Lawn is set up behind the picnic specialty seats, and no where on line did it say that lawn seats cannot view the stage!

I'm giving this venue a 3 because I'm reviewing from two points of view. The venue gets a solid one for the lawn seats. However, the reserved seating section gets a five. First, let's touch on the lawn seats. If your idea of lawn seating is Lakewood or Verizon, think again. Their lawn area consists of a few patches of AstroTurf sitting behind the suites at the top of the bowl area. Hence, there is absolutely no view of the stage. I expected there would be a video system or at least speakers to allow you to hear. Wrong on both counts. If you don't want to pay the full price for reserved seats, I suggest just taking a chair and sitting outside the fence near the food trucks. You will probably see and hear better from that elevated point of view than you do from the lawn. When people would try to go up to catch a glimpse of the band, security would quickly (and sometimes nastily) hustle them back to the lawn. Only during the last few minutes of the show did they give in and allow people to actually see the band they were there to listen to. These seats shouldn't even be offered since you can stand 50' further back and have the same experience from the street. Just use this area for groups that have reserved seats to mingle in. The reserved seating area, however, is a completely different story. In my opinion, there isn't a bad seat in the house, as the venue only seats 1750 people. It's very reminiscent of the Center Stage Theater in Atlanta. Definitely an intimate venue. However, their seating arrangement is a bit odd. Each row is on a separate tier, but each tier actually has two rows of 18 seats each. The people in the front row on each tier have plenty of room, but the seats on the rear row are a bit tight. I would not suggest getting tickets in the middle of a rear row on a tier. I do like the fact that they allow in and out. There are usually food trucks nearby and long seat patrons get a wristband, and reserved seat patrons get a hand stamp. If you are expecting to pay a low cost for lawn seats to see your favorite band, you will be sorely disappointed and I suggest saving your money. On the other hand, if you're willing to fork out the extra dollars this is definitely a venue to check out.

A Truly Spectacular Wedding Experience…read more Our daughter/Son-in-law's Wedding on April 17 was absolutely beautiful, and we cannot say enough about the incredible team at Ashton Gardens. Ty'Asia and Elizabeth were phenomenal. They were on top of every detail from start to finish, and anytime we needed something, they were right there making sure it was handled quickly and with care. The Food was fresh, flavorful, and enjoyed by everyone. Since we (the parents of the bride) couldn't be everywhere at once, we checked in with several guests afterward - every single one of them said the venue was stunning, the service was excellent, and the waitstaff was attentive and professional. Whatever guests needed, the staff provided without hesitation. Most importantly, the Bride and Groom were thrilled with how their special day turned out. We are truly grateful for the dedication and professionalism that made their wedding unforgettable.

Beautiful venue, but unfortunately our experience after the wedding completely changed our opinion…read more First off, be sure to get any request or agreement in writing, for ANY little thing. Even if it is just bringing a bottle of wine in for yourself. The sales person you initially meet with Will make you promises than the wedding coordinator will not know what you are talking about. They will nickel and dime you for every little thing. Our wedding coordinator was friendly, but they will ALWAYS prioritize their vendors when an issue is brought up. We chose the all-inclusive package expecting professionalism, coordination, and accountability. Instead, when multiple issues happened with one of their preferred vendors (the DJ), management and the wedding planner immediately defended the vendor rather than genuinely addressing our concerns. Important moments during our wedding were mishandled, including incorrect announcements, poor coordination, timeline confusion, and even the wrong versions of songs being played during the ceremony. Afterward, instead of accountability, we received a long response full of excuses blaming apps, timing, and "live event conditions." My advice to future couples: if you use this venue, strongly consider bringing your own outside vendors instead of using the inclusive package. Once the wedding is over, it feels very clear where the venue's loyalty lies -- with their preferred vendors they continue working with, not with the couples who paid thousands for their special day.
