A newly installed and substantial kitchen makes onsite food preparation a breeze. The lakeside view and private parking lot shaded by large oaks make for relaxed ambiance. The seating capacity is 90. The DAY OF the wedding, the worker/coordinator from the venue, this blonde lady, had another party come in and she asked one of the bridesmaids when we would be done doing our last minute set up bc the otparty wanted to rehearse like REALLY!?!?!?! Rude and unprofessional. The worker had the audacity to ask us not to put the petals on the side of the aisle because the other party didn't want it there. My sister paid for the venue to be used for a whole day and we did NOT Get THAT. My sister's now husband, also emailed the owner about the inconveniences and unprofessional behaviors of the staff at the venue and they never received a response. It has been exactly 1 week now. If you're thinking about renting this venue for your event, expect the owner and workers to be unprofessional and rude. It's all about the money they get for this place. Expect double bookings and other people coming in and out while you're trying to set up, rehearse, and expect others to come in THE DAY OF your wedding, asking when they can rehearse. This place in simple words, sucks.

There are several tables/chairs outside for guests. The parking lot holds about 80 cars. The reason it's called 550 Trackside is bc the train runs right next to it:). At the time of the wedding no trains were on the track. I'm not certain if they have caterers on site but the caterer that prepared the food was awesome! He prepared stuffed fish with shrimp/spinach/peppers/onions. Delicious!!! The yellow rice was perfectly seasoned and fluffy. The Mac & cheese was delicious - 3 cheeses! I didn't try the grilled chicken but I'm told it was good. I'm considering having my birthday party here:). If you're in the area or just looking for a nice reasonable venue check them out.

The pasta bar was a hit, with options like stuffed pasta, chicken pasta, and salmon pasta...all delicious and well prepared. Staff did remove the food rather quickly as there was enough for seconds but there were folks that didn't even get their firsts. They did accommodate me with a plate to give as one of the groomsmen didn't get one in time. So they made a few huge plate options to make up for it. The bar service was also top tier, thanks to the bartender Roxanne. She made sure the drinks kept flowing and wasn't skimping, which I appreciated and after all, it was paid for. The venue itself made for stunning pictures, and I especially loved the open outdoor area, which sparked so many ideas for a grand entrance. Everyone we met was very friendly and welcoming. I wish we lived in the area and could visit more regularly.

She choreographed the rehearsal perfectly and was even better on our wedding day. She made me not regret hiring a wedding planner because she seriously did it all for us. In the end, I did turn into the bride I never dreamed I would be - personalized aisle runner, flowers I never wanted, a candy buffet and cute little signs I thought I could DIY and ended up hiring out. And even though my then-fiancé made the mistake of actually calling me BrideZilla a few times (he obviously has never seen the show with the REAL bridezillas), our wedding was absolutely PERFECT. All of the girls are taken into a dressing parlor filled with what looks like 100 gowns in every color. They are sorted along the wall by color and size. Under them are princess shoes in every color too. The girls pick what they want to wear and then go tot he jewelry box to find jewels, boas, you name it. The super friendly staff the does the girls hair, makeup, and nails. They then put on a fashion show and walk the red carpet. Next, it's tea time at the heart shaped table. They eat get individual teapots of pink lemonade, crudités and tea sandwiches, pizza, and other snacks. For dessert,they get a plate of sweets. It was a wonderful experience and worth the drive!! She also assured me that she would be ordering superhero costumes for girls immediately. I appreciate her prompt attention to the matter and the fact that she was so open to hearing the feedback. We'll definitely be back!!! ******* I have now had the pleasure of attending two birthday parties at this facility and have several recommendations to improve the party going experience. As the mother of a 6-year old daughter who adores superheroes, I am saddened that they have no female superhero costumes. Instead, each time I have come to this facility, my daughter -- who doesn't like princesses -- must make the choice to either "grin and bear it" in a princess outfit or wear a superhero outfit designed for boys. This needs to change. It is 2018 and we should be empowering our girls by not limiting them to these choices. My other major recommendation is that they forgo the outdated "boy vs. girl" treasure box. This is another unfortunate ritual that furthers the stereotypes. I watched in disbelief last week as my daughter was informed that she could not have a sword because it was from the "boy box". So, instead, she settled for a consolation prize -- a tiara and wand. Again, I am all for children expressing themselves and do understand that many little girls love their princesses. I'd just like to see them further diversify their costume offerings for girls... especially given that they have so many examples to look up to now, whether princesses or superheroes.
