Although we came here on Memorial Day lots of restaurants were closed. This had nothing to do with the holiday but because they were listed as "coming soon". This eatery looks fancy on the outside but the inside is just ok. There were only three restaurants that were operating and none of them piqued our interest. We decided to leave and head over to Sonny's Cheesesteaks.

I walked through here in the morning and in the evening and not a whole lot was open. It was on a Sunday though so hopefully it has more foot traffic on a weekday or at least a Saturday. It is a great concept and in a great location with all the historical sights right on its door step. It is not as big as its competitor but the lighting is a lot nicer with the taller ceiling. The food options are decent but not much was open when I walked through. I could not tell which shops were still open and closed or abandoned. Hopefully with more people out and about, school trips picking up, and people travelling business will pickup. Walking down Market St, I did see some signs advertising them which was really nice. I happened to discover them by accident which let me to stop in as my hotel was close by. Definitely worth another stop when I am in the area again and see what is new.

Visiting from California. Dont bother coming here. Only like 3 food options and everything else was closed or shutdown. We visited @ noon on a Monday. Go to Reading terminal instead.

A very large food hall once you enter this industrial old school architecture building that felt like the Bradbury Building in La. When we went at 11am on a weekend many stalls were still not open and going upstairs was closed.

This place is a dump these days. Years ago when this first opened, while I worked down here I often came here for lunch and it was great. I came back today to grab poke, because I was in the area and the decline is clear. The women's restroom had multiple clogged toilets, and the tables are dirty. There are also people loitering in the dining hall, who are clearly killing time or have food from restaurants not in the Bourse. For the prices here, I was expecting it to a least feel a little nice here. Next time, I will be going to chinatown for poke, felt like sitting in a dirty Starbucks.

First time in here for a yelp event. Beautiful place and a nice chill out place to grab a meal with family or friends. The only upsetting thing to me was not all food shops were open when I was there. There are a few shops I actually wanted to try out. Hopefully next time when I stop by there, they will be open for business.

All decked out for the holidays!

Fun fact: The old Bourse food court was the first place that I ever had sushi as a kid. Not as fun fact: It was also the first place that I got sick due to eating sushi when I was a kid. Beyond that one occasion I never really had to many memories of the old Bourse other than seeing and confirming how it was in need of an significant update after awhile. And when I first got word of that update I was easily intrigued. Especially when I found out that places like Grubhouse and Chaat and Chai were going to be moving in. As other familiar spots like Scoop Deville and Menagerie Coffee set up operations, and they confirmed an onsite distillery and beer spot, it became inevitable that I was going to enjoy it. And while I did encounter a couple question marks with each visit, overall it does deliver a whole bunch of incredible things. For food I usually find myself defaulting to Grubhouse and The Dribbler slinging amazing meat dishes like Nashville hot chicken on waffles. But I've also been easily won over by regular tacos, Korean tacos, mega fries with all the fixings, chiecken soup for the soul from Remedy, and other options. While I've enjoyed some awesome cocktails from Bluebird, It's been pretty hard for me to pass up visiting Tap Fills Station for the awesome beer cred that they bring with their versatile selection and reasonably priced crowler program. Like most food courts I have seen a couple snags overall, most recently with seeing potentially game changing spots like Chaat and Chai and their chocolate themed bar just up and vanish. When I first read on Yelp that they were open on until Midnight on Saturdays I walked in super excited on an evening, only to find over half of it a ghost town and the few vendors still open closing up just after nine. But overall I do see good things coming, especially when Escape the 80's moved in after they escaped East Passyunk Ave, and Art Star setting up a pop up art market. It's also pretty awesome that they have Penzy's selling their fresh and incredible spices on a regular basis. Add in new things like a First Friday art market setting up shop just this week, and it has more good than bad.

Abundant with its variety of food choices and much, much cleaner than reading terminal. Great tourist spot in olde city, next to the independence hall 5th street subway stop. You can find a bunch of stands ranging from korean, cafes, bars, pizza, tacos, desserts, chicken, soup, etc- some being popular restaurants from center city. There's also small philly related gifts you can purchase there too (t shirts, cards) and the inside is decorated very nicely for the season, as well as philly themed quotes filling the white walls. Nice food hall to check out!!

The Bourse is on a path to be a Philly must-do. Location, variety, and use of space is what makes this more than "just a food court." If you crave it, you can find it at The Bourse, and it's an ideal spot for large groups. Unlike the famed Reading Terminal Market, the Bourse's open concept makes it easy to maneuver and explore your options without getting lost or claustrophobic. Due to the endless variety of food options available, I've never encountered long lines. The Bourse is all about efficiency and quality. Every vendor I've visited has been positively memorable; I've indulged in TaKorean, Chocodiem (espresso martini is a must!), Managerie Coffee (oat milk and cold brew ! !), LaLo, Prescription Chicken, and Rebel Taco, and I have no bad things to say. The staff has always been quick, the food has always been tasty, the value is great, and location is bomb! The Bourse is a huge perk for tourists, located just steps from the historic epicenter of Philadelphia, but I'd encourage locals ake a visit as well. One of the best perks of the Bourse? Huge, clean, public restrooms.

Entrance & no ramp for easy access

There isn't as many inside the food court as there use to be since Covid. Opted for shrimp & fries with bottled tea. This place is big without much to choose from.

I was also constantly rubber necking to take in all the food stalls and vendors. I could have spent an entire day there exploring and would have seen maybe a third of what's there. As it turns out, everything is available. Cheeses, meats, donuts, ice cream, candies, desserts, coffee, and everything in between to include small rocks and crystals. Realistically you can spend a good 3-4 hours in this market alone. Wandering the aisles, ordering various food options from various vendors and then finding a seat to sit down and enjoy your food. That last part, finding a table to sit down and eat your food could be a bit tricky. When we first arrived at the market it was 9:30 a.m. and we were able to find a seat without much trouble. When we returned to the market for a second time, around 1:30 p.m. it was noticeably more packed inside and I had to do two loops before a table cleared up. There are so many vendors inside you really can't even come close to trying them all in one visit. I would like to come back and try some more places next time. As for parking, I was told to park at the Convention Center parking structure, but when I arrived there was a large sign stating that parking was full. I ended up finding a public parking lot at Commerce & N. 13th St which I parked at, but after 4 hours or so I think it cost me about $50. To be expected, unfortunately, for big city parking.

The veggies were a bit sad. Not too many vendors selling greens and the selection was nonexistent. The other side was lined with tents selling like pasta, protein, premade, packed goods. Maybe my standards are high since I've gone to many farmers markets in California but it's very much not a market were you can go and buy all the ingredients for the week. Philly Foodworks is unique among csa-type distributors because they have a full online grocery store you can shop from, whether you're getting a produce box or not. I was able to get almost all of my groceries each week from Philly Foodworks with their numerous options. If you shop around, you can find really affordable items as well. Subscriptions for eggs, dairy, and meat offer further discounts. In general, I ended up spending as much, or a tad less, than I would for the same items from an actual grocery store. I only ever shopped online, but I believe they also have a store front you can go to if that option is better for you. They deliver right to your doorstep for a small fee and the actual process of getting groceries/subscriptions was always a breeze. The quality of the food cannot be overstated. Once you go direct from the farm, it's hard to go back to the tasteless big-box grocery store produce. The eggs and milk were also amazing, as was the beef. Last but not least, they're a great organization with increasing access, sustainability, and regenerative farming practices at the root of everything they do.
