I stop by here because it is very close to my house. Parking lot is always filled with glass. This place is easy to spot. They have a large selection of wine, beer, and spirits. The selection is all low level cheaper items. Don't come here expecting exotic. I am always able to find some thing I like. The good stuff is behind the glass. They usually have multiple cashiers working so the wait to pay is not long. read more

This is probably the busiest liquor store I've ever been to. I have seen some crazy stuff, but the staff and owner have always been nice to me. They have a great selection of wine, beer, and spirits. It's a great place to shop and if you're lucky, you get a floor show too. The location and clientele is part of the experience. You get what you give. read more

I went to this store to pick up a large order and walked to my tiny car with a basket. At that time None of the employees asked to assist me with my order to my car ( I was later told by a black male employee that the white employees always offer assiatance to white peolple with large orders). I left the basket in the lot and proceeded to deliever my order. Upon returning a few days later I was confronted outside of the store by a black male employee and was asked about the basket. I informed him the basket was left in the lot. I didnt know it was my responsobilty to return the basket. A few days later I entered the store again to pick up another order and was confronted by a hispanic woman who ran in after me. She walked up to the counter and turned around to tell me that the black male employee told her that I placed the basket in my fiat and would be bringing it back. I told her that statement was not true and asked her if she rewinded the cameras to see the truth and she stated "yes". I knew that was a lie because you CANNOT put a basket in a FIAT (tiny car) . She then placed her hands on her hips and said, " My white husband and I own this store. Yeah my white husband, and you are NOT ALLOWED IN HERE ANY MORE"! Wow looking at other reviews where people talk about HER RACISM is really true! How can you serve black people and NOT LIKE US! Her hatred SHOWS! Rewind the cameras and then lets see who the liar is! I've dealt with The Bottle Shoppe through Drizly, so I never had contact with them in person before. Wish it could have stayed that way. This morning I placed an order, again through Drizly. Originally, the order page said the order would arrive within 45 minutes, which was fine. However, once the order was placed the order page said it would arrive between 11 and 12. Unfortunately, I have a major medical issue, and have an appointment with the clinic at that hour, so I called the store to ask that the order be rescheduled. A woman answered my call, and explained that deliveries start at 11. I told her that I wouldn't be here. She said I'd have to call Michael. So, as I'm trying to find and dig out pen and paper, I had the audacity to say, "Oh, God" to the pen that was evading me. The woman at the store said, "Oh, now you're going to say, "Oh, God," " hung up on me, and blocked my number. I guess they don't need any business. I guess I'll take mine elsewhere. Heaven forbid that any pens should elude me while I'm trying to follow instructions. I'm not entirely sure why I'm supposed to be taking care of her business, either, but that's another issue. read more

Normally I've had no issues with their wine. However, This time I purchased wine and it had an off taste like cardboard. I returned it and purchased another brand but that wine also had an off taste like the previous one. They refused to let me bring the second one back. I spend a lot of money here & I know when wine isn't good. I won't shop here again because of the poor customer service. Be weary that you'll end up with the same issue I had with them refusing to switch out bad wine. read more

It is the closest liquor to my neighborhood that has a variety of liquors and wines, I like that. But what I did not like was the service and treatment I received at 9am in the morning. The customer service at this location is awful. I understand that things happen and people are not always in a good mood early in the day, but there is no need to be rude to paying customers. I was purchasing items for a large tailgate that I was headed to that morning. The cashier asked me if I wanted a receipt before completing my purchase and I stated yes. Well I stood at the plastic window bagging my purchases up for a few minutes. The bags are located outside of the cashiers window. You would think he would have passed the receipt to me while I was bagging my purchases, nope he did not. I got to the car and realized I don't have the receipt, so I went back inside and asked for it and nastily the cashier said, "I threw it away." The entire experience was one that I was not prepared for on a Saturday morning. I will not be returning to that establishment ever again. read more

Best liquor store in Memphis. Great selection, they have EVERYTHING, and the attention is great too, the owner of the store is really cool, and he knows a lot about liquor, so he helped me picking up come wine. Love it. Highly recommended. And pretty good prices too. read more

Not huge selection but lately they've been steadily adding more to their stock. I only come here because it's the closest liquor store to my house, but my girlfriend loves it because they give her deals when she buys multiple bottles of wine. They usually knock a few bucks off per bottle. They finally started selling Woodford Reserve, which is my favorite bourbon, so I'm sure I'll be coming back more often. I've never had any issues with people being rude or anything like that. read more
