In addition to a great selection of well maintained used books, the shop shows artwork for local artists and has book readings regularly. Based on glowing reviews, we drove almost an hour to the town of Lafayette which I've never been…read morebefore and found this town to be quaint. The bookstore and cafe was clean and cozy surrounded by books and more books with lots of cool trinkets to browse. I was a little disappointed though with their limited selection of bakery items and opted for just a cup of coffee and relaxed at a small table. Employee Josie took my pile of used books to get reviewed for possible future credit towards books I can buy later at their shop. Another building on the premises had lots of whimsical items such as socks, jewelry, pins, mugs, etc. I met Deidre that was friendly and helped me pick up out a cat shirt that was so adorable that I just had to buy. The prices are affordable and there's a parking lot plus street parking. The town of Lafayette was artsy and walkable to enjoy after going to the bookstore.

We recently visited this Barnes & Noble in a community not far from Boulder, whose Barnes & Noble I…read morehave used for decades. I had called the Boulder store for a book on local wildflowers that my husband needed for a project. Not surprisingly at this time of years, they were sold out. I asked if the Superior store had any, knowing that it is a smaller store and may have less stock . I was told the computer listed one in stock. It is rare for a single copy to actually be there, given the fact that copies "disappear" from time to time or are damaged and moved off of the shelves. I have had several years in bookstore management experience so I called the store, ask a staff member to look for it and pull it to save until we could get here in about 30 minutes. The staff member did just that, found it and reserved it behind the counter. We headed right out and entered the store in 20 minutes. It's easy to find, adjacent to the Costco in that shopping center. I had only recently heard that this store even existed. It is attractive and bright with very nice displays. I noted one that I intended to read but since I am limited to audiobooks because of low vision, I passed up the display here. But years ago, I would have grabbed on the spot. Both the staff member on the phone and the one in person that we met, were quick to help. Parking was plentiful and free. If Boulder had it in stock, I could have taken a bus, right to the front door.

Was visiting from AZ and checking stores while on vacay. Great little shop. Very clean and open…read moredesign. Staff very helpful and informative and willing to engage in conversation unlike most of the stores I found north of them (I only checked out stores in Longmont/Loveland/Greeley/Ft. Collins). The atmosphere was such a warmer feeling and didn't have that stuck in the 90s live in my parents basement feel of a comic store (best way I can think of) than a few of the other stores I visited in Loveland and Greeley. Loved the drawer system utilized for the back issues which also aides in the clean look of the store. I was only interested in the comic half of the store, but they do have a lot of gaming offerings. Definitely gonna make it a point to come back when I make my way back to CO again.
