The drink bar was a pleasant surprise and I had a very yummy Iced Roebling Fog (like a London Fog but with a little sass). Love the physical space and the cafe space in the back with tables was an added bonus. Though small, the inventory was thoughtful and I found far too many things to choose from. This two-story shop has a well curated array of new and used books, as well as some books printed by an in-house publisher. It also had such interesting nooks and crannies to explore, like it's kids area with a fake fireplace and "room under the stairs" a la Harry Potter, Mark Twain room and closet-sized reading area dedicated to the late LGBTQ trailblazer Harvey Milk. The prices also seemed reasonable, and it had a large enough selection that you can find something good to read no matter your reading preferences. It was also fun to just peruse book covers post-COVID and post-way too much shopping online. Village Lights is such a special place!

He also found me a small collection of Poe which I also secured for my library. I was also advised that I can let them know of books or authors that I'm seeking and they would let me know if anything comes in. The store is big so I know there is much more for me to explore next visit and they have several cozy sitting areas where you can just read, or have a cup of tea as well. They even have a hidden Harry Potter room under the stairs and a Sherlock Holmes reading room in the back. What a great place.
