The staff treated me well, and I walked out with a nice mix of store credit and cash in my pocket. I didn't make a big fuss or smile too much because I didn't want my family thinking I was getting any kind of special treatment. They actually thought I was crazy for making the trade at all, but that's okay -- it was my stuff, and I'm the one who decides. A really nice, large multi-vendor antique/flea market with lots of vintage finds. Little kids might be a bit bored but unlike many of these types of stores where it's a lot of old clothes and books, I found EOAC (may I be the first to shorten the store name to 'ee-oh ack'?) to be very diverse and was not bored at all while the rest of my family looked around. Prices can be hit or miss, and the sellers are not around in their individual 'booths' so there's no opportunity to negotiate, but given that this is a retail store, the prices were definitely not outrageous. Pro Tips: -We were there around closing time and they do shut down promptly at that time- lights off, doors locked. Make sure you buy whatever you're looking at before then. -There's a good amount of on-street parking along the side of the store, particularly the diagonal spots right around the corner, if you can snag one -The two-block area of Owego around the store is really perfect for strolling/shopping/hanging out. -The downstairs part is very clean and well organized, and not super-crowded with stuff. The upstairs is a little funkier, especially the side and back rooms (which look like they may have originally been employee break or stock rooms). Don't make the mistake of not at least taking a peek upstairs and seeing if there's anything you like. The only drawback I see is the second floor is not accessible; no ramp or elevator that I saw, only stairs (remember this was built as a department store in the 1950's). The first floor does seem wheelchair accessible though. So far we've been here twice and would stop by again if nearby. If you are a die-hard antique/collectible person, this store could be worth making into a destination all it's own.

Activity: There's a lot of boardgames that you can play and of course, it's a first come, first serve type of thing so if the game you wanted to play is already being used, then you're gonna have to find another game to play. For me, I did not know many of these boardgames, but for those who collect and play numerous boardgames, you may know these games. Or just like me, you may not. But I think that's even better. In mid August, Jupiter Games opened on the Vestal Parkway (in the Plaza with Rite Aid, across the parking lot from Olums and Staples). This is a great game store. Personally, I'm a big fan of many of the "Euro-style" board games such as those produces by Rio Grande games. Most game stores tend to lean towards only carrying trading card games, or Miniature driven games such as Warhammer. Jupiter has a good selection of those games, but also carries a huge variety of card games, jigsaw puzzles, family games, strategic titles, and the Euro-games that I love. I make it a habit to visit gaming stores whenever I travel (God I'm a geek!)--and I'd stack this one up against anything that I've seen when I've traveled. They will be sponsoring tournaments, offer free wi-fi in store, and will be holding periodic Friday night game nights. We now have an excellent resource for gamers in the area--let's support it to keep it successful!

It's jam packed with all sorts of neat, unique items that you don't find at the other big box stores. Nearly all of the inventory has educational value with a heavy concentration on free form play. My niece is exceptionally gifted and we struggle to find gifts for her that actually stimulate her. She's blessed with a mind that visualizes solutions quickly. I picked up several brain teasers I've never seen elsewhere, some card games that seemed as if they may challenge her and a hanging seat for my son that I've looked for elsewhere without success. The woman at the counter was incredibly knowledgeable about her products and took the time to go get a former demo item so I could be certain I was purchasing something I'd enjoy. I live several hours away from this store, but plan to make another trip down soon for birthday and holiday gifts. I wish she was closer to my house, but then again I'd spend a fortune at her store. This little trip cost me $250, but I have no guilt because they seem to be unique, well made toys with a heavy emphasis on educational components! I'll be back... I decided to stop in and see what selection they had. They had a pretty decent selection, the packs that I like which are Phyrexian I was able to pick up. Prices are a little on the higher side but still, nice little shop. Was clean and maintained. The guy behind the desk was the sports guy, so he didn't know much about magic and that's okay but he was super helpful! They have the rift bound League of Legends trading card game decks, And we've been unable to find them anywhere so come get them! They have a spacious back room for playing games and it appears to have a nice spot to play video games.
