This is my local spot whenever I'm craving a delicious coffee drink. It has a nice atmosphere with Low key music in the background, and tons of books, or magazines you could read while having your coffee. Good for people watching as well.The staff is always friendly, and always helpful in making my drink keto friendly. My go to beverage is the cold brew coffee with sugar free vanilla syrup, a couple of Splenda and heavy cream they have behind the counter and will pour in there for you. Low-carb, keto friendly, and delicious! A nice treat on my day off. read more

I always feel a sense of calm when walking into our Barnes & Noble - it's just a pleasant environment with super friendly staff who go out of their way to be helpful. It's hard to walk through the store without at least one staff member asking if I need help finding anything. They clearly have excellent store managers who lead by example and set the tone for their entire staff. read more

I love this place. Many a night back in the day were spent waiting for the release of the latest Harry Potter. Many a first date met me in their Starbucks cafe. It's my go-to spot to waste time before catching a movie at the nearby theater. Good 'ole B&N :) I'm particularly proud of their hometown service here: My husband and arrived about a half hour before closing (not thinking about it being Xmas eve) and browsed the sale books. The manager announced that the store was closing and requested that everyone make their way to the check out lanes. The store was mostly filled with last minute shoppers with no clue what to get their loved ones, so naturally people weren't too quick to get to the check out. As we waited for the cashier to call us over I even witnessed a guy jumping over the chain to get back into the music section. The manager was totally cool about it, helped the guy get something and then personally greeted each shopper as they exited the store. He could have been a lot more impatient considering it was past closing and people were taking their sweet time. I'm sure this guy wanted to get home to his family. Way to go! read more

I would give it 5 but the gentleman at the register continued his pitch about some credit card sign up even after I tols him 2X and my husband said 2X we were not interested. He then made sarcastic comments because we walked away leaving our purchases. Just went to this location to purchase a special edition magazine which I was unable to locate in the store. I then went to customer service and listened to the representative tell someone on the phone how to open a ebay store by watching you tube videos, when she hung up i figured she would help me... no such luck she walked out of the kiosk and went to the register never even making eye contact with us. I decided I would have better luck on Amazon, on the way out of the store I crossed paths again with this employee again she never acknowledged me and walked right by. I said excuse me, did you not notice me on line?" her response "yes but i was busy with qnother customer (i did not see another customer) i advised her if she just told me that I would have patiently waited, she had no response and turned and walked away. I made my purchase online from a competitor. The fall of brick and mortar stores isnt all about price and convienece sometimes people (like me ) are willing to pay more for service and the ability to have my item same day. This store clearly has no interest in my business or my money... very unfortunate. read more

Received two books for Christmas from my son he purchased in Vestal, NY on 12/23/14. He misplaced the receipt for these books that were $49.00. Went to Vestal to get a gift card to pick out different books 12/27/14 and they would only give me $26. for the two books. So don't lose your receipt or they screw you and keep half of the money! My son found the receipt and I will be returnjng gor the rest of my money from them. Good way to increase profits by keeping customer's money! read more

Best bookstore around. So many selections from children books, to magazines, to horror books, to humorous books, to fantasy books, any of your must-need books. I, as an all time Harry Potter fan, love going to B&N and choosing my prized Harry Potter book. As if this coulddnt get any better, there is a STARBUCKS INSIDE BARNES AND NOBLE. The woman with the buzz cut who works at the B&N Cafe has a very poor attitude. Went there to get some dessert with my boyfriend and gave her our order and she yelled at me for saying "red velvet cheesecake and pumpkin cheesecake". Wasn't even able to say "pumpkin cheesecake" without her being like "Let me hit red velvet before I put the other cake in the system." I didn't hear her correctly at first so I said "and a slice of pumpkin cheesecake" again and she proceeded to say "I said wait until I get the red velvet into the system!" After she finally got the oh-so-difficult task of getting two slices of cheesecake 'into the system', she asked if I was a Barnes and Noble member. I said yes and began telling her the number until she cut me off rudely and told me I need to stop and wait for her to hit the button. I told her the number and she then went and got the slices of cheesecake but kept mumbling and whispering stuff to herself about us! I've been to Barnes and noble cafe quite often in the past and never have I been so rudely told to stop talking so a cashier could hit a single button on a screen. I'm a cashier myself and it has never taken me that long to hit a button on the register before and never would I rudely cut a customer off TWICE and then never would mumble stuff about a customer either! So entirely rude for no reason whatsoever. I am giving 2 stars as this had to do with B&N Cafe and not really the store itself. read more

i don't see how a place like this can exist in 2015. yes, they have a good selection and i love going around and finding new books, but the prices here are pretty high for the most part, so you're better off finding something you like and then ordering it off amazon. even the barnes and noble webstie has books for cheaper than they are in store, and the store won't even price match their own website! how lame is that?! read more

My fiancé bought me the Nook Glowlight for Christmas and for some reason it froze on me and wouldn't turn back on! Took it to the customer service at B&N and the awesome associate (Marty was his name I believe), an older gentleman with a white beard, tried to get it back on but with no luck, opted to rather exchange it out with a new one. No questions asked. It was such a relief. He was so quick & great with my son. If I have any other problems I'll be back to see him! read more
