I loved The Body Shop as a teen, but then never seemed to shop there in my 20s. I recently had a facial and the therapist recommended a moisturising mist at The Body Shop to combat the fact my face feels dry all the time (it isn't actually dry, it just feels dry. Boo).
I popped in with the intention of buying just the mist (it's the Vitamin E one and I was impressed the SA could work out what I was talking about from my terrible description) but was upsold two more items on the basis they had a 3-for-2 deal on. While I'm not unhappy with my purchases, it does make you feel ever so slightly fleeced on your way out when you spent closer to £30 than the £10 you intended on spending. I also got signing up for a loyalty card. Maybe I need to get some stronger willpower next time I'm at the shops.
Anyway, The Body Shop seems to have reinvented itself somewhat and I'd definitely pop back here for a browse. Under supervision. read more
