Every few months I try and change my foundation, hoping that the next one I try will be the one that's been sent from the gods, suiting my skin colour to a tee. I noticed Laura Mercier whilst flicking through a magazine, and decided to go and check it out.
The first thing I noticed about the products was the packaging, it was really minimal and simplistic which I love. It made it look more expensive than it was, although in saying that, it wasn't cheap. However, you get what you pay for and when it comes to make-up, I don't mind paying a bit more for something of better quality.
After umming and ahhing for ages, and with some help from the lovely sales assistant, I left £32 lighter, with a new Laura Mercier foundation in my little bag. I went for the gorgeous sounding Silk Crème foundation in Peach Ivory, which gives the skin a lovely subtle peachy glow, perfect for those days when you have woken up feeling a little bit blah.
I would definitely go back and have a look at other stuff, but I didn't want to dent my purse any further! The perfume looks and smells lovely, but it is pricey at around £50 a bottle. The body souffle butter is also up there in the pricey stakes, at £42 a jar. It smells divine though. read more
