Absolutely love The Board Couple! For little over a year now, we have been going there for Blackberry Academy to take their classes/workshops. Blackberry Academy is a series of classes focused on charcuterie board styling, wine pairings, and even making cocktails. The classes are so much fun and very informative! Great for a date night, outing with a small group of friends, or even for someone going solo. Recently we ordered their charcuterie boards for our holiday gatherings and they're perfect! Board is beautifully styled, high quality and generally a crowd pleaser. Life saver during holiday events! You can order the board ahead of time for pickup , delivered or shipped out of state! They also cater for big events like weddings and corporate workshops. They also have recently opened up for dining inside the shop during the week! The owners Monica and Bryan are two of the most genuine and sweet people! They are experts in their field and they are truly passionate about a unique culinary experience that turned into their business. All of the staff at the board couple are amazing and very knowledgeable as well! Highly recommend The Board Couple for any celebration whether big or small. read more

If you're looking for something new and fun to do with your significant other, sibling, or best friend, I recommend signing up for their charcuterie class. The instructors make the course fun, easy to follow, and entertaining. The venue is chic and cozy. They offer an extensive selection of wine. The course includes a glass of champagne. Their service is outstanding! Also, try their sandwiches while you're there. They're delicious! Come check them out for yourself! read more

What a beautiful representation of their charcuterie board, and it was quite tasty as well! Through the Leadership SAISD program, the nonprofit partnered with the owners to have participants individually pickup their sampler and gift bags while practicing social distancing. If this is a need for your organization, The Board Couple hit the mark in terms of presentation, favor, and customer service while maintaining Covid safety standards via curbside (or delivery if you need that too). I must go back and order a board to enjoy with my family, and fortunately, there are plenty of options to choose from on their website. read more

I recently ordered a charcuterie board from The Board Couple and... well... you know how sometimes you order something that looks great online but you're a bit skeptical that it won't look like that in person? This is one of those scenarios, but in the best way. The online representation of the board was fantastic, but in person it was even MORE amazing. To top it off it was delivered on time, fresh, looking all kinds of delicious, and honestly we just can't wait for an occasion to order more from The Board Couple! Thank you for highlighting our special occasions with your masterful (and edible) work! read more

Google led me to this place. I was originally searching for another charcuterie place but couldn't find it. So what sold me on The Board Couple? This wasn't the only charcuterie company that populated, however, their site was the one that stood out the most. There's no smoke and mirrors with this product. Good thing because these boards costs but for good reason. The actual presentation is picture perfect. Share this special board with special people. What an incredible local business! This is the second time that my husband and I ordered from The Board Couple. The boards are beautifully put together. All the ingredients are exceptionally fresh and taste great. The delivery driver texted me when she was on her way and was so friendly upon arrival. She really made me feel like I was special. The driver also arrived with a mask on which was an added bonus to the friendly delivery. Only two things would have made this a five star experience. The first being that the website for ordering is a little challenging to maneuver and you can end up adding a lot of extras which add up in cost. The second was that I ordered the board for the 30th for my spouse's birthday but it was delivered a week early. I verified on the email that I specified the 30th. Oh well, nothing huge but wanted to mention. Great place in San Antonio that many might not know about and should! read more

With Covid it was very hard to celebrate my parents 50th Anniversary and wanted to send them something special. The Board Couple did not disappoint! The board was delivered in style by Lori, white chef's coat and all! The cheese, meat and fruit assortment were exquisite and their favorite was goat cheese and peach spread. There was also a special touch of fresh flowers. Below is the board that my parents unwrapped and set up themselves for their special day. If you are looking for a board to send outside of San Antonio, please make it a point to ask The Board Couple about specific shipping expenses. When speaking on the phone about our order, I was told shipping would be x amount, with an additional fee. I received an invoice that was substantially more than what was discussed. When I asked about this extra fee, I was informed it was for "shipping." The whole "shipping" cost was $3 less than the actual board itself. I personally felt very misled and will not order from The Board Couple again. read more

The Board Couple is an absolute gem in San Antonio! My book club has met here twice, and both times were incredible. From the moment you walk in, you feel welcome -- the atmosphere is cozy and inviting, making it the perfect place to relax and connect. The wine selection is fantastic, and the charcuterie boards are next-level. Every bite is thoughtfully curated, from the high-quality cheeses and meats to the fresh fruit and little gourmet surprises. You can tell they put so much care into every detail. But what really makes The Board Couple special is the hospitality. They go above and beyond to make sure you have an amazing experience, and it shows. We felt so taken care of both times we visited, and we're already looking forward to coming back. If you're looking for a great spot for a gathering with your crew, a date night, or just an excuse to treat yourself, this is the place. Can't recommend them enough! read more

Melanie and your incredible team, thank you for the exceptional food you prepare every day and, more importantly, for being such genuine, welcoming people. It's businesses like yours that make our community special. May God continue to bless each and every one of you. You've definitely earned a loyal customer!

Today I learned that the flavor for P'tit Basque can be optimized and enhanced if the cheese was shedded and ribboned to create more surface - essentially allowing it to breathe. We have had feedback from several people (at least 30... waiting more responses) who attended the…read morewedding, and they all got sick of the food. Not to be disgusting, but they had GI problems for 1-2 days. One guest said that when they bit into the meatball, she noticed it wasn't cooked all the way. We didn't know what exactly caused everyone to get sick. But we know for sure it wasn't the desserts because the people who got sick didn't eat dessert. Additional Issues- Since choosing Anne Maries for catering, we had a couple of issues. First one being with our numbers in regard to food. I had been in communications and told Shawn that we had less people after the RSVP count came in 300 originally, then RSPV'd... 250. Shawn later told us that is why they "double check" numbers before charging. And no, they didn't! He already sent us a bill for the wrong number of guests for the wedding. Thirdly, we had an invoice sent to us saying that after we paid that our card was rejected. Supposedly after speaking with Shawn on the phone, he informed me that the office manager didn't communicate with him about how we already paid. So, the office manager sent another invoice, and it stated that the payment was rejected. This happened after the previous issue was addressed. Overall, we were very disappointed by the issues that we encountered with Anne Marie's and don't feel like the company demonstrated professional qualities that we thought we were paying for. There was poor communication between Shawn and the Office Manager. We understand mistakes happen, but there were several mishaps with the addition of some of our guests getting sick on the food.

Instead there is a butter texture. The cake is stale and dry. Tastes old. The decoration of the cake was supposed to be a simple outline of miffy which is a bunny with 2 eyes and an "x" for a mouth. They put this nasty gelatin texture paper on top of a random bunny which also has a hair on it. Called to see if any changes could be made or if a partial refund could be made. Was spoken to with a woman with the worst customer service. Took 5 calls for someone to answer. She stated the cake was what I asked for when it definitely wasn't what was told during consultation. They got my hard earned money that's for sure to play around with food. Will never support this business again. Birthday ruined. Thanks girly pop.

Amelia’s Catering Kitchen & Events

If you're in San Antonio and haven't tried Amelia's Kitchen, you're seriously missing out…read more First off, the food is absolutely incredible. Everything tastes homemade, fresh, and made with real care. You can tell right away that this isn't just someone cooking -- this is someone who truly loves what they do. Every dish is packed with flavor and honestly... it's the kind of food you keep thinking about long after you've finished eating. But what really makes Amelia stand out is her customer service. She runs the entire operation herself, which makes what she does even more impressive. Despite being a one-woman show, she goes above and beyond for her customers. She'll even deliver orders when she doesn't have to, just to make sure people get their food. And the personal touches? Unbelievable. Amelia has literally handed out flowers to customers just to show appreciation. Who does that anymore? That level of kindness and gratitude is rare these days. Amazing food, incredible work ethic, and a heart for her customers -- Amelia's Kitchen is the real deal. If you support local businesses and love food that's made with passion, this place is a must. Highly recommend. You won't regret it.
