I have been struggling with my veins since I was a teenager. For years I have been getting…read moretreatments done that lacked results. I finally saw a surgeon who confirmed I had underlying big veins that needed to be treated. I looked for an alternative to surgery and found out about Dr. Schaeffer's office and how he takes on big veins with ultrasound guided sclerotherapy. Unlike surgery there is no down time. I started treatments and am so impressed with the results. My legs feel lighter now that they have some relief! I finished treating the big veins and now started regular sclero which this office does run daily deals for. I can't say enough great things about this office. The doctor and the staff are just awesome. I am very happy I started coming here!

Dr. Schafer is great at what he does , but his front desk receptionist Karen is awful. I had one…read moretreatment left on my package for vein treatments , which I scheduled a month in advance. A week prior Karen calls me to let me know I had one treatment left on my package, which I thought was weird since I had an appointment scheduled. I called the office the day prior and they realized that yes in fact I was already booked for the next day. Unfortunately I did not show up for my appointment, but as soon as I remembered I called to reschedule and left a message. No one called me back, so I called the office again and Karen picked up only to tell me that my treatment was lost because I missed the appointment. I realize I missed the appointment, but 1. No effort was made on their part to remind me of my appointment which should be taken into consideration , especially when I was never made aware in writing or verbally that you would loose a treatment for not showing up. Karen said but what if you don't show up for your next appointment, I said then you could charge me a no show fee on my credit card. Karen ended hanging up on my face.

Dr. Brian Haley is the best gynocologist hands down. After moving here from New York City my level…read moreof doctors was difficult to find one that could match the care I had in Manhattan. Dr. Haley has the best bedside manner, extremely intelligent and has helped me tremendously with an ongoing medical issue. Every time that I call the office they tell me to come right in. It is never an issue to get an appointment especially if I am not feeling my best and need to be seen right away. I am in my mid 50's but I did see many young pregnant woman in the waiting room. If I was having a baby now I would only go to Dr. Haley. He is the best!

I would strongly discourage anyone seeking treatment for endometriosis from seeing Dr. Brian Haley…read more This was one of the most upsetting medical appointments I have ever experienced. Rather than providing a balanced discussion about my diagnosis and treatment options, Dr. Haley painted an overwhelmingly hopeless picture of my condition. Based on my ultrasound, he repeatedly suggested that my endometriosis had likely destroyed my pelvis. He compared my insides to overcooked spaghetti, leaving me with the impression that everything inside me was severely damaged and likely stuck together before any surgery had even been performed. Instead of explaining what was known versus what could only be determined during surgery, he spoke as though there was very little healthy tissue left and implied that he would simply try to preserve whatever he could. As a 35-year-old woman who hopes to have children one day, hearing my future discussed in such a hopeless manner was emotionally devastating. Rather than discussing a range of possible findings or outcomes, I left believing my fertility and reproductive organs were essentially beyond repair. When I asked about my 4.3 cm endometrioma and whether it could rupture, my concerns were dismissed. I was simply told that nothing could be guaranteed and that having surgery in six months, one year, or even two years was essentially all the same. I was given no meaningful explanation of my actual risk, no guidance on warning signs that would require emergency care, and no explanation as to why delaying surgery for years would be appropriate despite my ongoing pain. To make matters worse, I was referred to a fertility specialist who has been retired for quite some time. I had to discover this on my own after leaving the appointment. That level of inattention made me question the quality of care I was receiving. My experience with the office staff was equally disappointing. During a phone call while I was trying to get answers about my care, a member of the front desk staff laughed at me. At a time when I was already frightened and overwhelmed, that interaction felt dismissive, insensitive, and completely unprofessional. Patients facing a complex diagnosis deserve clear communication, compassion, and evidence-based guidance. Instead, I left feeling terrified, hopeless, and completely unsupported. I immediately sought a second opinion because I no longer had confidence in Dr. Haley's judgment, communication, or the care provided by his office.
