Visited the Brandon location. My services have been by Aisha(sp?), the owner, she's very kind, direct, and knowledgeable of the skin procedures (microneedling & chemical peel) I have gotten. She will also explain the feeling and it will be to the T to the IRL experience. She takes me in promptly at my appointment time. Her front desk employees(male and female) are very kind and welcoming. During and Before, allows you to ask questions, inquires your at home skin regimen(if you have one), and will provide suggestions if needed. I love that she pushes the limit of melanated skin to get the results we're paying for. So, despite being poise in the way I handled the situation from my behavior with the unprofessional manager ,and my review ,the manager clearly must have me confused with the other unsatisfied customers that she has ran off with her unethical way of managing her business. Note to others BEWARE as this owner clearly will try to slander those who are giving her constructive criticism instead of learning from it. This lady is for lack of better words, a liar, first and foremost. She commented under my original review and stated that she saw me for FREE and that my groupon was TWO years old. That's funny because the groupon was purchased May 2020. I will attach screenshots below to confirm that. The fact that I am now being painted as irate when the manger deliberately embarrassed and pinned me as a customer trying to get over on them when I clearly quoted her from the initial wax is beyond me. As a professional I know how to handle and conduct myself in stressful situations. Despite the manager trying to rudely devalue me and walk away as if she was "done with me" I still stayed calm and poised. Although, with her response not adding up to my screenshots she must had me confused then with her other customers that she tried to con and scam on the daily. What is hilarious to me is that even after I purchased my wax pass on May 2020 this business was still posting deals such as discounts on facials. So, while the owner wants to insinuate that they haven't used Groupon in years, she's lying. the proof is in the pudding INCLUDING screenshot receipts from the groupon resentative and I and them stating that The Blush Bar was paid for the services as well. At the end of the day this business was paid, services were provided after I had provided concrete proof and evidence, yet this new review is to clearly show the world to not trust this lady and her business. My face was burned. It's raw, red and sensitive to everything, even the wind blowing on my face has been painful. I went in for a basic facial and now I'm having to see a dermatologist to fix the damage that was done. I am so disappointed and quite frankly angry. I've never had sensitive or troubled skin before, so this is hard for me. Also, my "esthetician's" fingers wreaked of marijuana. She didn't wash them, she only used sanitizer, which mad the smell even more nauseating. I wish I would have paid attention to the red flag and left then. In addition to everything else Aicha, the owner was EXTREMELY rude and very arrogant. The way she treated me made me feel low and undervalued. I will NEVER return and will tell everyone I know how horrible this place is. I would not return or recommend this business, as it's unfortunately one of those establishments that looks great online, but simply did not live up to its reputation. I scheduled an appointment for a Brazilian + Vajacial as well as a Deluxe Facial + Dermaplaning. The Brazilian + Vajacial was not bad. The waxer that worked on me was a bit rough however I know the waxing process is going to be painful so it was not a problem. She was very thorough and made sure to re-wax any missed spots. Also, the girl that did my wax was nice and tried to talk to me so that I would be comfortable. The problem began when I switched over to another girl (I believe she was the owner) for a Deluxe Facial + Dermaplaning. As soon as I laid down she began asking me about my skin care routine and then proceed to rudely judge what I was using. I'm all for recommendations and corrective tips but it's all about how you speak to customers. It seemed like she had an attitude as soon as we started. She analyzed my skin (which is fine) and then asked if I had any questions. I told her no, and it seemed like she had an issue with that. She started my facial with cleansing and then started using a suction tool. I was visibly in pain while she was using the tool because she was applying so much pressure, it was almost unbearable. (No warning that it would possibly hurt either). She then started the extractions which were so painful I started crying. I've had facials before, so I know extractions don't feel good, however she was being way too rough. I finally just told her to stop and we ended the facial. My face has been swollen since then, which has never happened to me before. I finally just paid for my wax and left. I really wanted to support this business, but there are way too many other black owned businesses in the area that I know have better customer service and customer experience. Also, I posted this same review on google, and the owner proceeded to lie on me and say that I was rude and scarring customers. I'm so happy I found The Blush Bar! I was scrolling through Instagram and saw a video of the Facials and Vagacials...yes a facial for down there. I was mesmerized watching all of these innovative procedures and how everyone's skin was glowing afterward! They offer so many different facials, including hydrafacials, microdermabrasion, micro needling, back facials, waxing, back and derrière facials, lash extensions and makeup application. I booked a Vagacial + Brazilian Wax combo and Armpit Detox + Wax. I was lucky to get Aicha the owner who is a nurse, not just aesthetician to do my procedures as she created the process for most of them. I explained how I was injured during Brazilians multiple times in the past and she was very careful to ensure that I walked away smooth and free of injury! She also removed on ingrown hair that I unfortunately was plagued with since I went back to shaving after being injured at a waxer in Oldsmar. My underarm detox was wonderful and Aicha also ensured that she recommended a great natural deodorant free of aluminum that actually works! Afterward I knew I wanted to come back for more treatments so I booked facials for my Husband and Mother in Law's birthday. I booked them Hydrafacials and since I had a recent huge breakout from stress and wearing more makeup than usual I booked an Acne facial. Aicha recommended a product I can go pick up at ultra to clear up my skin. I picked up the deodorant and the skin care products as soon as I left. So we come in for our facials and we were all being treated by Aicha. I could tell all the gunk that was under my skin had been extracted and my skin felt so soft afterward. It's 2 days later and the effects of the facial are amazing. My face is healing. Remember I booked Hydrafacials for HubbyStanks and his Momma. As soon as my mother-in-law laid down on the table Aicha felt her skin and recommended an anti aging moisture facial as she lived in Massachusetts where it my extremely cold and her skin looked good, but it was dry. My mother in law had beautiful skin, but it was glowing after the facial! HubbyStank's skin was basically flying off his face when she only rubbed it lightly. His face was extremely dry as it always is this time of year. She also recommended he not do a Hydrafacial and instead for microdermabrasion to slough off dead skin and a moisturizing facial. He looked better and moisturized after the facial was completed. Hydrafacials are priced much higher than any of the other facials. We have had hydrafacials elsewhere and even though our skin probably needed something else other aestheticians would have performed it anyway because it's higher priced. Not at The Blush Bar! Regarding your rude consultation that I overheard, the client was requesting more info on microneedling since needles were being used and your business is not a medical facility and she was concerned about sterilization. Your reply repeatedly was "I don't understand what you don't understand, it's pretty simple." During that same appt, You were venting/going off about another esthetician being rude to your child-lash tech (I'm fairly certain she was an independent tech who was renting a room in your establishment) or not, is unprofessional in the presence of clients. From reading the other reviews here, that seems to be a theme for you. I actually have no correspondence from your business after I booked Saturday's appointment that I arrived at 10:40 for which I thought was at 10:30, so no I was not almost 45mins late even if the appt was actually at 10:15. My calendar was linked directly from the scheduling app so it was nothing that I entered. Prior to booking I reached out via Instagram message to inquire about if they accepted walk ins (never got an answer) I booked an appointment with them because I had an upcoming vacation I will say I accidentally overbooked my Saturday appointments (nails/ wax) so I called their customer service line for the voicemail system, since I had no luck there I tried their Instagram again. This time I got an answer i was having issues re- booking online so I reached out for help explained to the person responding that it wasn't prompt my me for other possible locations or employees who had other times slots available that would accommodate with the times I am able to re-schedule ( you can only re-schedule once) the person responding was no help basically said I needed to do it myself and go with whatever the website gave and sent me a screenshot of their disclosure. Being so i that I got not help not even a call back I re-scheduled for today. [call off work to make it for the re-booking] being time sensitive I looked up blush bar on maps and followed the gps which took me to Brandon. Received a hydrafacial today, and my skin is super glowy and clean! HOWEVER, it was the single most painful experience of my life! I had tears rolling out of my face from the pain (involuntarily) and I couldn't relax because it hurt so so bad. My face is bruised and I have hickeys all along my chin and jaw from the hydro machine. I know it's all part of the process, but being my first facial, I didn't know what to expect. So if you want a spa-like experience, do NOT book the hydrafacial. It will be well worth it when the redness, bruising, and hickeys go away, but boy am I sore. read more

I am very big on supporting black owned businesses but If I could rate this place a zero I would. I had a concern with my face after getting Microneedling services, it caused a big black spot on the side of my lips. I sent the owner pictures after my first Microneedling. I was advised that it's a process and it should peel and go away after 3 weeks, It did not go away. I showed up to my next appointment advised them again of my issue. The young lady that provided my second Microneedling session stated she will focus on the discolored area on the side of my lips that was cause by my first Microneedling session that should help fix the discoloration and solve the problem. Instead it got worst after my second Microneedling, I brought that to the owner attention. She advised me that she takes before pics on every client and she would take a look at the before when she gets to her shop. She made an appointment for me to come back the following day so she can take a look at my face. I showed up to my scheduled appointment, she was not there she told her staff to give me some products to help with the discoloration. I followed the instructions as given by the staff on how to use the products. My face got worst then it was before with a bunch of papules/bumps and discoloration. I sent a text to the owner with the picture of how my face is getting worst. She immediately got defensive and stated that I was not following the instructions and not washing my face properly. She went as far as saying my pillow cases are dirty also accused me of editing pictures. I advised her again I did not have any of these issues prior to me getting Microneedling and I just need a solution to fix the problem. She was totally unprofessional and defensive/inconsiderate. Aicha Ayana, the owner of the Blush Bar is a joke and very unprofessional. While booking an appointment on her website I made a mistake and booked an appointment at her new location in Pinellas. It has only been open for 9 days!! When i arrived on time to what i thought was my appointment, the receptionist informed me that i was at the wrong location. I asked her how we can fix this even if that means waiting until next week. She told me to wait in the lobby until she got in touch with her manager. The receptionist kept getting called to the back by the owner every time she tried to give me information until she finally just didn't come back up. When I asked Aicha how can i get in touch with her manger she wouldn't give me her name, a number to follow up, she wouldn't even tell me when she will be back. She informed me she is the owner and that she doesn't have to deal with customers like me, That what she pays her manager for. First of all, This is NOT the way to treat a repeat customer that is supporting your business!! The customer service of the owner herself is an insult to the people supporting her! I am of higher rankings at my job which forces me to look at things from all aspects before taking actions or making judgements. During this misunderstanding I told them my account was charged twice so i asked if I could just reschedule and use the second charge as the deposit for the reschedule. I was told I could not get any of my money back and that i had to wait for the manager to contact me. After not getting answers from anyone I walked out. I looked on there website for the email Aicha told me her manager checks. While sending an email to the web address on their website, my car was approached by 5 police officers. The lead office came up to my drivers side window and informed me they were called due to a disturbance and a irate customer. I WAS COMPLETLY CONFUSED BECAUSE THERE WAS NOT ANY DISTURBANCE NOR WAS I IRATE!! Comes to find out she told the officers i was throwing rocks and kicking/banging on her door. I've been following for awhile and finally decided to visit. The environment was nice and clean and the staff were very welcoming. Wait time was about 5 mins. Demetria was very professional and answered any questions I had during my deluxe facial. The facial was amazing btw! However, I wish the blackheads on my cheek area would have been attended to but she insisted that doing so would leave my face inflamed b/c they are so small. If I could give zero stars I would! The customer service is the worst I've ever experienced in my entire life. I am not a person who ever leaves reviews, but, a person who has never been to this establishment and would be a first time customer needs to hear from a fellow first time customer. I'm from out of town and thought that I would treat myself to a special facial. Because, I don't know where I going I left an hour ahead of time to get there. When I realized that I would be running behind because of an accident on the expressway, I called and got a voicemail (Not an actual person answers the phone). I'm already frazzled because I don't want to be outside of their 15 minute late window, but, the voicemail says that any question I have can likely be answered on their website! Okay, but, I'm navigating accident traffic on an unfamiliar expressway. So anyway, I leave a message stating that I was running behind and my GPS says that I would be 5 minutes outside of their grace window. When I arrive only 1 minute outside of their grace period, I call again because I don't see the establishment. Turns out that when you click the address link that takes you to the GPS it redirects you to their old address. When I finally got someone on the phone to explain the series of unfortunate events (it's now still only 5 minutes beyond their grace period). She was extremely rude! "Why would you go to that location", you chose the address 3 times is what she said." As I explained, I never typed in an address, I merely clicked on the address in my confirmation email. There must be some sort of technical glitch. She said that "I should've left early enough." Which I did. I asked that since I had reserved with a $50 deposit I could just reschedule. She said absolutely not. They're busy & don't need my business. I followed this company on social media where they seemed to be using misleading videos to market their facials. I commented to enlighten the PEOPLE under the post since they seemed to be misinformed and I got back a response from the page that seemed to be aggressive. Honestly, I was super excited about going here since seeing them on Instagram. I actually got a facial done first and the facial wasn't the issue. I came back a second time for a wax and a vajacial. This is where the disappointment came in. The girl who waxed me was super nice but after seeing my results when getting home, I was shocked at how bad of a job it was. So many hairs left everywhere, my lips especially, the hairs looked like they broke off and she just didn't try to get them after that. Same thing with my butt, lots of hairs were missed. Now I have to wait for all of the hairs to grow back but it looks like my lips didn't even get waxed. If only there was as much effort put into customer service as there is to get smart with clients and market on Instagram..... what a bad first impression and I nicely canceled other appointments I paid in full for! Lesson learned to steer clear of anyone that requires you to pay in full for services you haven't even received. Any good business knows it's better to work with customers to get them to return than to be nasty to keep their money. I should've pulled up the reviews first because they didn't lie about the rudeness!! I've had things pop up before appointments with people who use the same booking platform and my appointments were adjusted or canceled with no questions asked..... and they're small businesses as well.
