ALSO- Awesome.. best place for women to take pole dance classes... Excellent workout in a great positive enviroment!! Very reasonably priced!! Every lady should check the classes out.. I think most of you will be pleasantly surprised it is not what you would expect it to be like!

After my 3 year old daughter expressed interest in ballet, I instantly searched through…read moreyellowpages.com to see what dance studios were in my area that would accommodate my novice ballerina. Just gotta dance popped up first in my search so naturally I called and inquired about coming in to shadow a class. The lady on the phone seemed charming and offered a FREE first time class for all new students. Free? Couldn't turn that down. The location was in an abandoned looking shopping mall in Suisun. Parking was limited and the neighborhood was a little sketchy. The dance studio itself was dark and run down. Nothing impressive but again, I kept a sense of hope in the back of my mind for the sake of my little one. I didn't want her to sense my apprehension. Come class time the dance instructor was not what you imagine a ballet instructor would look like. I'm not going to further comment on her size but all I have to say is that I expected more. The class size was small and manageable. It seemed like all of the other students had been there for awhile and had made friends with all of the other little girls. So why just 1 star? Well first off the class itself was not well structured. The little girls all ranged from 3-6 years old but the instructor was speaking to them like 18 year olds that just signed their life away to the US Marine Corp. My daughter participated in a few of the activities but I could tell she was nervous. I had to sit with her on the mat a few times while doing some exercises which I thought would help her feel more comfortable. At the end of the class session the instructor rewarded all of the ballerinas with stickers. When it came to my daughter she said, "Now I'll give you a sticker just this one time but next time you are going to need to do all of the activities by yourself without anyones help. If you do require help then I wont give you a sticker" WTF?.. shes a kid for christ sake. I want her to feel comfortable asking for help! I'm sure my daughter didn't understand and was just thrilled to have a sticker. I on the other hand was livid and stormed out. I didn't need her damn stickers to validate my daughter's hard work. After class was over I took my daughter to Target and let her pick out a whole book of stickers. Hmph... that'll show that BIG mean drill sergeant instructor :P

My daughter's birthday was cancelled due to coronavirus and we were heartbroken. Then I found My Once Upon A Time and booked an Elsa Sing Along for my daughter and 8 friends. Loni is a true professional, she recommended the best Singing Elsa even though she could have saved the job for herself. Queen Elsa's zoom was jaw dropping!!! She might be a legitimate Disney employee, she was SO in character. She also sang 4 songs for the Sing Along and had an amazing voice! I highly, highly, highly recommend My Once Upon A Time!

If my kids ask for it again next year, I would hire through My Once Upon a Time in a heartbeat. Sierra was absolutely incredible as Cinderella, never breaking character, making balloon art for the kids, and just being truly engaging. All the kiddos wanted to give her a hug when she left. I also was grateful with how professional she was in reaching out before the party to go through the logistics and details so I felt highly confident of the plan the day of. And it was nice to have two characters around as Prince Charming helped keep the kids entertained with games while Cinderella did the balloon animals/art.
