I was wandering around Brighton during the first Denver Broncos game of the season and randomly thought, "Let's try this brewery today." That little decision turned into one hell of a find. Something Brewery has that laid~back, industrial taproom vibe that immediately makes you want to pull up a stool and stay awhile. The beer lineup gave me plenty to explore, but honestly, the people are what sealed the deal. John behind the bar was absolutely crushing it~friendly, energetic, welcoming, and exactly the kind of beertender who makes a first~time visitor feel like a regular. Everyone around the place had that same welcoming energy. And then there's the arcade room. Yeah... this place understands the assignment. You can battle it out over live~action Battleship for a chance to win a FREE ROUND, grab crowlers, enjoy the on-site wood-fired pizza, and apparently make a whole afternoon/evening out of it. They also rotate local food trucks on weekends, and the BYO~food policy means you can grab something from nearby and bring it in. The taproom has character, the beer delivers, the people are fantastic, and the atmosphere feels genuinely community-driven. And I haven't even experienced the huge outdoor patio yet. We also really liked the fall seasonal choices, including the pecan pie brown ale, and the easy as pie pumpkin honey blonde. The coffee cream ale sounded up my alley but a little too heavy on the coffee, and I wanted to love the churro stout, but I am not into stouts and I know it and should accept it at this point. The ipas were good too (enough that I would have drank a whole one, and I am not into ipas). If you get the mini pours rather than a flight, it's a little cheaper. Overall, there were a ton of great beers, games to play, and this might be my new favorite bar in all of Denver. I would drive into Brighton just for this brewery, it's that good.
