I have used this business several times to order flowers for Dorchester County (I live in…read moreAnnapolis). The results have always been wonderful. I usually order online, and they deliver. This past weekend, I wanted to order flowers for a small church down on Hoopers Island. Because florists are not open on Sunday, and the church is not open all the time, we had to work out a plan. When I called to order, they were very pleasant and helpful. I selected a spring flower basket and made arrangements with a friend to pick it up on Saturday on her way through Cambridge. Everything went smoothly and the basket was perfect. This business provides personalized service.

However the bouquets were not what was requested. The bride asked to see the bouquets day prior. Roses were wro ng color. The argued over ability to get correct ones but did not inform bride ( correct was available elsewhere) they then substituted carnations for the roses (huge price difference, and bride did not want carnations only white flower????! No adjustment on price. When bouquets were delivered the bridal bouquets was exactly the same as bridesmaids bouquets same size exactly the same! Called florist next business day ",owner out of country" will call back. Argued they were different and aggressive with no apology whatsoever. Still have not heard from florist 6 weeks later. Service and attitude were horrible. Based on that, I would NOT recommend

We bought two rugs from Mr. Parvizian last May. We were away for the summer, and when we came home…read morein the fall, we set them up for the first time. They looked beautiful and were perfect in our living and dining rooms. But it didn't take long for our puppy to spit up (twice!) on the beautiful new living room rug. I tried to deal with the stains myself, thinking since they were just clear "water," not actual vomit, it would be easy to blot them out. Silly me. (I later learned that puppy spit-up has acid bile in it, which eats away at wool if not promptly and properly treated.) The stains were still there the next day, so I turned to the internet and, alas, followed the instructions from several of my go-to reliable sourced sites for such issues--I mean places like Consumer Reports and Good Housekeeping, not just random DIY posters. Anyway, after applying a paste of baking soda and Dawn (benign, right? wrong, wrong, wrong!), things went from bad to worse. The stains were now huge and they were BROWN. In short, my beautiful blue and white rug was pretty well ruined. In despair, I did what I should have done in the first place--I called Mr. Parvizian. I explained what had happened, and he came out to the house after work a couple of nights later to have a look at the rug. Even though this was clearly user error (he kept scratching his head at "baking soda") he and his helper simply loaded the rug up and took it away, telling me he would see what he could do. A few days later, he called to say the rug was ready, cautioning us that it was "better," but not perfect. My husband and I drove to the shop to see what, if any, improvement had been made. The rug was laid out on the shop floor, waiting for our inspection when we arrived. It looked amazing! The spots had not only disappeared, but the entire carpet had been cleaned, and the stains were undetectable! So this sad story with the happy ending has a few takeways: -Do not, under any circumstances, try to clean your own rug if you don't know what you're doing, no matter what the internet tells you!! Baking soda is not an appropriate solvent for cleaning wool rugs! Puppy spit-up is very damaging to wool! -Go to Parvizian Rugs, not only for purchasing a beautiful, well-priced rug, but for the amazing and caring service. It was truly above and beyond, because this whole sorry episode was my fault--and really, Mr. P. was not obligated to do anything for me in the situation. He took it upon himself to take responsibility and to remedy this because he wanted a happy customer. That's pretty exceptional in this day and age. Thank you, Mr. P!

I also smelled bleach which Mr. Parvizian denies using for fringe cleaning. The next clue was the condescending way Mr. Parvizian treated me when I brought my machine-made rug into the establishment to be cleaned. He told me my rug was not worth the price of cleaning. About a month after cleaning the fringe started to disintegrate. The response from Mr. Parvizian was that machine-made rugs have synthetic fringe and they are not responsible. The fringe is cotton, we had it replaced 12 years ago after a vacuum cleaner mishap. Then he stated that the rug was stained, which it was not, we do not have animals and our children have been out of the house for over 20 years. The last communication was that I signed the contract that in a roundabout way says they are not responsible for any damage to rugs being cleaned.
