What an amazing experience. I came here for my first blowout Saturday for a wedding. My hair is long and thick. I asked for something hot and sexy, blown out of my face. Very thick, volumized and teased. Gianna accomplished just that, that is my girl. Nobody take her. She knew what she was doing. She pinned all the sides, did a nice blowout. I will definitely be back. I live in Powell and was wanting to checkout the Dublin location but Dublin and Easton were all booked. It ended up working out I had to go to Grandview. I appreciate all your hard work, Gianna. I was in and out in less than an hour, she absolutely killed it. It was very fancy, clean and nice inside. I got the package where it's 7 blowouts for $360. You know your girl can't pass up a good deal! She was able to handle my bluntness and perfectionism very well lol. I know I can be direct and have high standards. I went for their healthy scalp treatment. They offered some drinks when I first arrived. I chose water but they didn't bring it while I was waiting. It was set on a counter and I wasn't sure if it was for me or not being my first time in. The scalp massage was lovely. The cleansing gel made my scalp tingle and was really cooling. The time in a wash chair was really nice. They gave me a blanket and an eye mask. The music was good and they had a movie playing to watch. I got the blowout too so I didn't have to leave with wet hair in the cold. The blowout looked nice. Unfortunately, the scalp treatment didn't last more than a day and the blowout is nice but I am not that kind of person to keep a hairstyle looking nice for several days. I am not sure the point of a blowout bar personally and the price was expensive for the treatment not lasting more than 24 hours. The outcome of the service is great. I have liked every person I have had do my hair and how they do it. It's great to have the book of styles. However, my last two experiences have not been good. They are always running about 5-10 minutes behind, so definitely factor that into your schedule. I had a blowout scheduled on July 26 and about 20 minutes before the appointment, I got a call that my hair stylist was running 30 minutes behind because the client before me wanted a hair mask. I have had this appointment booked since the end of June, so it wasn't even a last minute booking. I was extremely frustrated and annoyed that a client could get a service that overrode my service and delayed the time of my appointment. I was driving there, and the salon texted me! I do not look at texts while driving. Then they called me about 15 minutes later when I didn't respond. They said my appointment was being pushed back 30 minutes due to the client before me wanting a hair mask. No apology. Just an expectation I'll be fine moving the appointment 30 minutes later. There was no respect for my time. The receptionist suggested I sit at a coffee shop for the 30 minutes my appointment was being pushed back. Why would I be okay with paying for an extra cost because the salon and my hair stylist is running behind? Definitely be aware that the receptionist might not have respect for your time or will text you first before calling. It is extremely frustrating because I love the idea of the Blowout Bar, but this experience has turned me away. read more

Do better... This shop really needs to work on their customer service if you have no intention of falsely advertising maybe you should adjust your marketing plan accordingly! If you cannot accommodate my pre-booked appt. be considerate enough to call me before I come all the way to ur place of business. I scheduled an appointment at blowout bar Grandview after I received an email specifying dates and times for discount training blowouts. I selected see photo "highly textured hair" When I arrived at the shop I was told that the trainees had not received their training on "highly textured hair" and if I could come back tomorrow or when the next training session opens up.... If your trainees have not received education on "highly textured hair" I suggest you modify your marketing strategy to reflect such and not include dates that result in wasting of clients time and energy. I drove from the other side of town to get to my scheduled appt. At minimum be kind enough to call before this highly textured girl shows up at your shop. Instead of acknowledging their error/oversight, I was given excuses ranging from: -Computer online error -lack of client's comment like "highly textured hair" -not being able to see "highly textured" in system -trainees not being trained on "highly textured hair until tomorrow" Below is what they advertised, I deleted out the stylists faces for discretion it's not their fault! She barely used any product. I had to ask for the color wow dream coat because I noticed she wasn't going to use anything post shampoo/ conditioner. She didn't know how to use it because she only used a couple sprays of it but you're supposed to saturate the hair. Overall my hair felt really dry after and frizzy. The style also was not like what I asked for at all. I've gotten many blowouts and this was by far the worst. read more

This one had the best reviews and was only 12 min from my house. It's in a super busy area, and parking is very difficult to find. There are a few open lots, but they fill up fast. When I walked in the facility was very clean and decorated really nicely. I felt comfortable, knowing the place had a lot of effort out into it. They have a "menu" which is cool, and it's $40 to have your hair washed, dried, and styled. Price does not include tip. The stylist used a plumping shampoo in my hair and took her time to be sure it was how I wanted it. There are TVs there to watch if you're bored. All in all, I'd definitely go back. There's street parking and well as a small parking lot in front of it. When making an appointment they do require your CC. Pricey but I always LOVE LOVE LOVE my blowout! Such a treat and I can really stretch and get 3 days out of it...I don't know how these women go a week!? One thing I wish they would do is really scrub and get an awesome shampoo. That should be included for $40. It seems that this part isn't consistent. I've been and the girl gives the quickest unrelaxing shampoo and then I was there last week and she really scrubbed my hair good. I think that area could be tightened up. Definitely a fan! read more

My friend and I arrived for our blowout on a Saturday at 6pm we found that there were only two stylists on staff at this time in the evening, so we were the only girls in the entire salon. This was fine. If anything, we were excited because we figured we could sit next to each other. When they took us back my friend got started before I was, and then they had us completely separated by 5 chairs. This was the first disappointment of the experience. My hair looked amazing when the stylist was finished and I was thrilled, but within minutes (literally MINUTES) of walking out of the salon it started to fall out. By the time I got home 15 minutes later it was practically straight. We had plans so I was unable to go back to see if they could fix it. I was so disappointed that I spent over $40 with tip and my hair looked worse than if I had just done it myself. The stylists have SO MANY products at their station and the only product used on me was a layer of hairspray when she was finished. On top of this, the stylist that did my friend's hair was completely unprofessional. I'm all for having fun, but he was dancing and singing very loudly while doing her hair (and her hair fell out too). Both of the stylists made comments about being tired and I felt like they were trying to get us in and out of the door to be completely honest. My friend has had blowouts there before and said that this was nothing like her experience in the past. We paid the same amount of money for a blowout as everybody else and should have received the same level of care and service that we would have received had we come in earlier in the day. read more

Had a great experience here! Very easy parking situation- meters on the street and a free lot just across the street. I walked in for my appointment and started right away even though I was around 15 mins early on a busy Saturday night! It was relaxing just sitting there chatting with my stylist, flipping through my phone, and sipping on a Chardonnay. And the Chardonnay was only $6! Extremely poor customer service, highly do not recommend this location. I received a text message 1 hour prior to my appointment cancelling due to lack of staff. I was planning on getting my hair done for a rehearsal dinner that night and the only accommodation they offered me was an appointment at a location 30 mins away at 5pm, which did not work for my schedule. I was SO disappointed and the lack of care on their end was evident which made the situation even more upsetting. At minimum I would have expected them to offer a free blow out for a future date for the huge inconvenience, but when I asked they declined. If there is a cancellation policy on the customer's end, then a business should be held accountable for a cancellation on their end. read more

Alright, so I needed my hair to actually look good for once during quarantine life since we were getting professional photos. I felt a little uneasy going into the salon so I emailed and asked about off-site visits. It turns out, they do provide at-home services where they send out someone to do hair. We have a little backyard so I was able to have my hair blown out, outdoors, while both of us wearing masks. The stylist (Autumn) was wonderful and personable, despite it being supppperrrr early in the morning. It felt very safe and not to mention my hair looked freakin' fabulous!! It's worth mentioning - it does cost more than a normal blowout (about double in price) but I definitely think it was worth the money to feel comfortable, safe and to treat myself. read more

I was lucky enough to nab a spot yesterday for a free blowout by a trainee. It was fabulous and I want to go back every week. I will definitely return for a wonderful shampoo, blow out and flat iron (The Neat, Please on the menu). I walked out with great hair that will last through tomorrow (I also purchased a dry shampoo spray to help with that). The salon is pretty, everyone was really nice, and you can watch a movie (with captions) on one of the many flat screens behind the bar. I even had a great cup of coffee during my visit. My stylist was awesome and I'll ask for her next time. I wanted to edit this review by adding the sink chairs also have foot stools, which is really nice and I've never before seen in salons. read more

They never told me about a cancelation fee even though they charged me when I called them 3 times to try and cancel. I've been wanting to try this place for quite awhile and luckily they were having a special and you could be a model and get a blowout for free of charge! So I immediately booked my appointment :) I got the flirtini and I loved it. There was a lot of volume and they used an anti gravity spray on it by Kevin Murphy. With that being said...all their products are Kevin Murphy. The stylist was new so I could tell she was a little nervous but she did great. They recommended using dry shampoo so of course I bought some and used it every day so I was able to keep the blowout for 5 days. The decor is amazing..so chic and trendy (LOVE!) I do plan on coming back when they have a happy hour special which $20-30 I believe...without the special I just think it's way overpriced. read more

For a hot date or any special occasion really, The Blowout Bar knocks em dead with hair styles that make heads turn! My first experience here was actually for a fundraising benefiting Dress For Success Columbus. TBB was new in town and they were quick on their feet by starting out with helping out local charities by hosting a cozy place to meet and offering free dry styles. I had never heard of such a place but my first impression was "I think I'm going to love coming here!" and that's exactly what I said to my then 4 year old who was also offered the complementary do (and she still tells people about how great it is if that says anything; from the mouth of babes- they don't lie!) Upon arrival you are quickly greeted by many smiling faces. Check in is simple. They do take walk ins but I suggest calling ahead to make sure they're available. They offer water and coffee and even hang your coat for you. Seating is comfortable and you are surrounded with mirrors if you want to watch the show. My favorite part is the wash! Give you time to meet your stylist and chit chat about product and what you're looking for as far as style while you can still hear one another. Not to mention the head massage is what makes it so epic! Everything about this place is woman! Especially the interior design. You have to check out the bathroom- so cool. There are several televisions though you can't hear them over the blow dryers so I recommend bringing a good book and yelping while you're here. Every once in a while they offer make-up applications as well and that's the best time to come because it's like a one stop shop. Free parking across the street and curb meters if it's cold. Located in a beautiful community and next door to some other small businesses where you can eat and go get your nails done. My only concerns are the length of time it takes to get a complete style. No one wants to rush beauty (me included) but it can be hard to sit still that long. Straws for drinks might be a good idea seeing how you dont want to tilt back your head while they're using hot irons. This being my 4th visit and on average the appt will take 1.5 hours from start to finish with medium-long hair. This can first appears to be a little pricey but regularly they offer free blow outs on their FB page which in my mind justifies treating yourself often. PS: I actually scored the best boy friend of my life just after getting my hair done here so when I say it makes heads turn... I'm not kidding. One date won him over and I can possibly thank TBB for their extra attention to detail that might just have gave me the edge that scored my keeper ;) read more

It can be hit or miss, so if there is someone you find that you like stick to them! I went with my 4 yo daughter. She was treated well, her hair was beautiful, stayed for a few days and she had a wonderful time. They were even sure to have a kid friendly movie on because they knew we were coming. So thoughtful! I, on the other hand, had a girl that seemed distracted the whole time. I was burnt four times, my style was uneven including bangs that were flat on one side and nice on the other. I was actually embarrassed to be seen and ended up fixing my hair when I got home. Shocking and terrible experience for me! I had higher expectations for this place after seeing the other reviews. I went here today to prepare for my engagement dinner tonight. The stylist that did my hair was very nice and I like the decor of this place. Honestly though, I probably could have done a better job with the curls from my curling iron. I was worried that the curls wouldn't hold as soon as I left because the curls were so loose. However I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt. Within 4 hours of getting my hair done here, the curls have completely fallen apart. I will be re-curling my hair for my dinner tonight. A friend and I were in town for the weekend for a wedding and made appointments to have our hair blown out for the day of. We had made appointments here after hearing from a local friend that it was great... We called an Uber to our hotel with plenty of time to spare, only to find out that there was a Heart Disease March going on outside of our lobby. We called the salon to let them know we were on our way but were unexpectedly going to be a few minutes late due to the march blocking several streets. We arrived 11 minutes past due our appointment time to find that we were no longer allowed to have blow outs done, only dry styling? because we were over the 10 minute late time. My friend had not washed her own hair so she pleaded with the receptionist to allow her to speak with the stylist (she was able to get a full blow out in the end). I had washed my own hair, so I was set up with another stylist. I was under the impression that the salon would at least wet my hair and then blow dry style it (hence, a blow out), but I simply received hair spray product and a curling iron. My stylist was very nice, but I was very disappointed that I had come to the salon for a blow out! to then receive a curl that I could have done myself. I understand that the 10 minute late rule is something the salon must do to protect their scheduling, but I think in certain instances (especially with out of town patrons) there should be some leniency. I was upset that I had to then go back to the hotel and essentially re-style my own hair with less time available before the ceremony. read more
